On Saturday I saw both Snake Eyes and Old on theaters. I thought Snake Eyes was a pretty good origin story but I wish it could have been canon to the other movies in the series since it's actually part of a series.

I liked Old too, the storytelling was really good and it wasn't as scary or disturbing as I thought it would be.

The last movie that I saw was The Suicide Squad. I wanted to see it in a premium format but I couldn't wait the extra day to see it so I saw it in regular 2D Thursday night. It was definitely a wild movie and the entire final battle was pretty epic, kind of on par with how intense the final battle in Avengers Endgame was.

Overall, I do think it was pretty great but I was also a bit disappointed with some of the character choices by the end.

I just watched Mortal Kombat for dinner, and I must say that it packs some punch, alright.

I don't know how good or bad it treats the games since I haven't played them, though I know Scorpion got a redesign that I'm not entirely fond of. The brutality of the games is indeed there, and I also liked the touch of humor given to it.

I loved way too much the remix of its ending song, the rhythm of Mortal Kombat in Bigroom EDM style is incredible.

The last movie that I saw was The King's Man and I have a ton of mixed feelings about it.

I didn't really like the fact that it took place in the past because for me, a large part of what made the first 2 Kingsman movies so great were its use of technology and insane gadgets and you didn't really have that in a movie that takes place during World War I.

On top of that, I thought there was significantly less action and violence than what you'd expect from a Kingsman movie.

The war battlefield scene looked and felt really good while watching it but then after it ends, you realize that if just felt really out of place and even forced. There were two really good fight scenes though, the big one with Rasputin and the main climax one at the end. Those two looked really good but the one with Rasputin was the only moment in the movie that really had the Kingsman flair.

But it was also really nice seeing how the Kingsman organization came to be.

Encanto. All I have to say is bring your tissues because I cried 4 different times. The music is fantastic and stimulating. The storyline is pretty new when it comes to disney. And the entire family is wacky and wonderful. Not to mention I have huge body envy of Camilo.

The last movie I saw was the Ace Attorney live-action movie which was enjoyable for the most part I had a few questions watching it on how they set up certain characters but it was an enjoyable way to watch the first game so I can't fault it to much. Though I do have to say the blue badger really confused me in this movie.

I just saw Monster Hunter after several days of seeing it on air but not actually going into it fully.

I must say the movie is quite good. I haven't played the games, but the variety of weapons is quite nice. Not many monsters appear, I hope this can change in future installments (because the mid-credits scene totally hints at a saga being continued).

Glad to see Tony Jaa still gets a good action time in movies. Haven't seen much of him after the hits of the Ong Bak and Thai Dragon movies, and I absolutely think he deserves more chances like this to showcase his wonderful abilities.

I watched Spice World on NYE because CBC took one NYE tradition away and the Jets game was postponed and I figured I should take advantage of the situation.

The last movie that I saw was Spiderman No Way Home. Saw it in theaters for a third time. The first time was in ScreenX, the second time was in 4D, and this time was in IMAX. I love every minute of it, especially the entire third act and it's quickly became my favorite movie in the MCU mostly because of all the extra characters and the insane amount of emotion.

EX Palen : The Monster Hunter movie gets so much hate for veering so far away from the source material but I thought the entire first half was insanely suspenseful.

Last movie I saw was Hotel Transylvania 4. I thought it hadn't been released just yet, but we came across it being available in Amazon Prime Video and so we watched it.

While the movie is kind of okay, it loses ground against its previous three sequels. I can't really say why, but my guess is that they used to rely too much on superpowers and mystical creatures which is basically something the main plot of this movie did away with. And the fact that it may be getting a bit repetitive on its format, that also doesn't help in long sagas.

Kind of glad it didn't make it to theaters, because the overall sensation would've been kind of meh. I hope the first new movie I watch in 2022 doesn't mark a negative trend or we're basically done for.

I watched Arctic yesterday. The one where Mad Mikkelsen gets stranded in the arctic area after a plane accident.

I liked it! I'm a sucker for those stranded and finding rescue/adapting movies or shows and this one was quite good. There wasn't a lot of dialogue but there didn't need to be. The acting and setting kind of spoke for themselves for the most part. I mean the second most important character had barely anything to say as they were unconscious most of the movie.

I'm not a movie beast but saw this recommended somewhere and gave it a shot.

Right now I'm watching a rather Obscure animated film Happily Ever After which was the Snow White sequel Disney never made (but served as Filmation's undoing)it's actually an okay film, quite dark in some parts getting away with stuff Disney never would have done, and it has a celebrity voice cast full of people that were relevant at the time so most of the voice cast is dead (most recently Ed Asner and Sally Kellerman) but I have to say if they got anything right in the casting department, Tracy Ullman was PERFECT as Thunderella (also it's not much of a musical considering that there are only three songs in the film plus the end credits song)

The last movie that I saw was Uncharted. I haven't played the games enough to be too invested in the lore, but I love the action and the trailer looked made I it look like the movie would be super fun so I went into it pretty excited.

It ended up being better than what I was hoping for because it was lots of fun and there were many moments that looked insane. Though, other than the opening sequence, the first act was pretty slow if you ask me.

I also really liked Tom Holland's performance.

The last movie I just saw was the new Turning Red disney pixar film. WHICH is super worth it and another fantastic tribute to generational trauma. The movie captured values and culture surrounding the family, and the differences between all the kids and their personalities wonderfully even the non-main character kids. Disregard all the flack from the butthurt suburban white mothers, this movie is an 8/10. It's cute, and it hits you in the feels especially if you grew up with generational trauma.

I just finished watching the Super Mario Bros anime movie from 1986 after getting a notification from my phone saying fans upscaled it to 4k on YouTube and since I've always been curious I went ahead and watched it... and I thought it was good for the time I don't have that deep a history with 80s anime and it definitely is easy to tell it was made in the 80s by the music alone in my opinion but I still liked the music as cheesy as it could be.
There was several moments in the film that had me questioning if the film inspired some parts of Mario games that came out years after the film. I don't wanna spoil it in case anyone decides to watch it but the ending caught me completely off guard.
I'd say if you're curious it's not the worst way to spend an hour.
