M.U.G.E.N is a free PC game where you fight as characters from any diffrent francisise like Mario,Zelda<----- (theres no Princess Zelda as a character so far),and Sonic.
you can download Fighters, Stages, and ScreenPacks.

Pros:
- Addicting.
- TV shows too.
- You get to make your own fighter using Fighter Factory.


CONS:
- You had to look everywhere for characters,stages, and screenpacks I suggest putting in MUGEN (insert the fighter/stage you want here for screenpacks search in MUGEN screenpacks)
- Not all characters, and stages are there
- It's hard to make a character

m.u.g.e.n is awesome and really you just have to find one good website for all the characters and stages.. i have atleast 300 characters and probably around 90 stages xD

I had M.U.G.E.N on my old laptop. After a while I lost all interest in it for multiple reasons. 1) Although I didn't have a big selection of characters and stages, once you know how to increase the limit, there is never enough of their. 2) This is a big reason for me. I personally couldn't do much during battles. The controls (keyboard) make it hard to do even decent combos. I ended up mostly watching the computers duke it out themselves. 3) Another big reason, and this ought to be my biggest one, is the hassle of finding and downloading characters, stages, etc. Every time I went searching, I ended up collecting dozens, even hundreds, of tracking cookies. This doesn't even count the risk of downloading a virus --which I came very close to doing.

Please do not get me wrong. I like the idea behind M.U.G.E.N. It just is not worth it to me. I hope others get more value out of it than me.

AuraBlaze : There are some mods that change the character selection screen so you can fit more characters and stages. And I did mostly Google searches to find my characters.

But I agree that there's a huge risk in downloading these things, and I wouldn't want to risk a virus. :/

M.U.G.E.N. is too much fun, mostly because of my interest in fighting games. I mostly try to stick to legitimate rosters from real fighters, like Street Fighter Alpha and Darkstalkers, and then I sort of go out from that. I like having a balanced roster of characters rather than the bizarre overpowered custom ones that seem to break the game, it happens too much to me. xD

As for downloads, I totally understand what you mean about viruses..I almost fell victim to one until I heard about Mugen-infantry and Random Select, two of my favorites.

Only issue is getting so many characters makes the folder take up so much space...so I had to put it on an external hard drive. :
