I'm in 8th grade I'm not doing so well :/ well I recently turned in my 60 page project and I went to go check my grades and I was shocked to see my grade actually went down from 55 to 42 seriously I worked extremely hard on it. Have you guys ever had that happen to you? What are your thoughts about school personally I do see use in it when they don't bruitally attack us with homework.

I've never had that happen to me. There was one time where I got an 88 on an essay on which I worked really hard, but usually I stay in the 98-100 range.

I'm okay with school in general, but my school has made a bunch of slips, which I definitely do not like. In fact, the state of Illinois is thinking of having one school per county. That means that my class size is going to jump up to 40 - 50 students with the same classrooms. That means it's going to get twice as overcrowded. Thank God I'm being transfered to a private school soon...

I absolutely hated when teachers in a class other than English were anal about spelling and grammar. To be fair you shouldn't have a spelling mistake in a typed report on a computer. That shouldn't happen. And grammar should be pretty good too.

Regardless, I find it hard to believe that if you completed the project and did a half-assed job at it that you would at the very least maintain the grade you were at.

I personally liked school. Although I did well while doing very little work. And a lot of the work I skipped out on was the stupid "make a poster" type crap. That is useless in the real world.

The average SAT score for the test I took ended up being (minus writing, as most schools don't look at it) 980. I got an 1110. The average WITH writing was 1490, I got a 1590. I'm sure if I actually would have tried, I would have gotten around a 1400/1880. Probably wouldn't have broken 2000...but I'll never know now .

That sucks...at least you are not in my school, there is one teacher who teaches so badly in my grade (9th Grade) that 66% of the class failed! He gave those who failed a probation for failing. Lucky I passed that time
