Well it was a mixture of Europeans right from the beging... The Dutch settled the north, the Brits settled the Carolinas and Virginia.. and the Spanish in Florida and the French in the Louisana area... Eventually the Brittish conquered them all... cept Louisana... We bought that eventually.. and then the Revolutionary War, gaves us our independece, opening the doors to Eastern Europeans and the Irish...

In the USA, presidents are prefered to be good christians, or openly involved in their religions.. Where in socialist countries (The rest of the world, cept for china, N. Korea, and so on) they prefer people to be less involved in religion... ya hurr?
