Davideo7 : I feel like that everyday it gets worst when you are in your thirties. I don't feel 32 more like 22 my Mom always says to take 10 years off besides I don't look 32. When people meet me they are surprised to find out how old I am heh even my friends can't believe it. I remember playing Nintendo when it first came out, My Little Ponies, Gem it so much fun being a child. I'm still a child in heart so I guess that what's important feeling young and staying healthy.

my teenage years are going pretty fast, it seems like yesterday I started Middle School, now I'm 16. I'm almost 17. I get my Driver's License soon. Where have the years gone? I just don't like getting older, nobody does. It's just something we have to deal with.

I think I'm not growing to fast...

Well, I'm still 15, so I'm still in my prime.

I really haven't felt that way. The only time I ever so slightly felt that way is when I have a ton of HW/a large project.

Trust me, in about 3 years you will see things my way. At you rage I didn't think so either, but its common for a person to be afraid of growing up once they hit adulthood even.

To tell the truth, I have NO fear of getting older. As long as I accomplish my goals in life and accomplish my dreams, then I have no problem at getting old and my life is just getting started.

Davideo7 : I know how that can feel… I’m 27 and my mind is pretty much stuck in the 80s. I know what it feels like to say to yourself “God, where did the time go?” It’s happened to me more and more in recent years. I actually look a bit older than I am due to hair loss and such.

It also can be hard when you come across a friend that you may not have seen in a significant period of time and find out that they have settled down with families and such and although you may be doing well in your own right, the pieces of the puzzle haven’t completely fallen into place for you yet.

I try to keep an optimistic outlook that despite outward appearances and even how I may feel physically sometimes, that I am still young at heart. If I didn’t work the schedule that I do and, took a little better care of myself things might be better but that’s another topic.

There is nothing to fear it’s part of life. The one thing that I think age is a benefit rather than a determent is that you become smarter over time if you allow it.

I sometimes get that feeling.I see my body right now and imagine how I will look in twenty to thirty years and scare myself.That is why I try to keep my body fit an work out to fight the thoughts in my head of the fact that I will get older and will not have the same body.

I think everyone experiences the fear of becoming older too fast. For me last year just flew by at light speed and before I knew I was a year older.
But I think it is silly for peapole to try hanging on to their "youth", for example that middle aged peapole dress up like 20 year olds, which in my opinion makes them look even older than they are.

Oh definitely. As soon as I graduated HS as well, the years just started flying by. It's hard to still see myself as an adult. I still at times feel like I'm a kid. It's strange.

David, I know how you feel. Not really a sense of feeling old, but asking yourself "where did the time go?". Happens to me all the time, and I'm only 14. Plus, it doesn't help that Ive been a social recluse for the past few years. Not my choice, but... I also know what you mean about memories. I haven't had nearly as many in recent yeats.

I feel the same way... it seems like high school was two years ago, not nine. It was like 2004 was just yesterday, like I just got my AA (2006). Here I am, 26, in a new state and wondering where all the time went. My nieces are 19, my oldest nephew is about to finish his stint in the navy. So many of my friends have two or three kids and I have no clue how time has slipped by me. It doesn't feel like 2011, and yet I feel so old... it's frustrating.

Davideo7 : I'm still 14 so, I'm not all sure of what to expect in the real world. It's not really a fear of "getting older" so much as a fear of not know what to do and where to go, and how to do it once I get older.

Elara : I agree with it not feeling like 2011. I look back to movies, cartoons or games that came out in the early 90s and it feels like they only came out like 10-15 years ago, not 20 years ago.

Life is confusing, and full of its little drawbacks. One being death. Though it may not be nice to think about, we all pass away sometime, and we have to, there is no way around it. It could be tomorrow, it could be 50 years from now. Thats why i choose not to worry, and live my life to its fullest and have fun, so when i die i can relax, knowing that i actually accomplished something meaningful to me.
