I seem to be crying a lot lately. And I am embarrassed by saying that, because I am an 18 year old male that has never had these problems before. In fact, I am generally emotionless for the most part, only showing them where absolutely neccesary. I just noticed that I am crying nearly every other day, and I don't even know why. I'm beggining to wonder how my health is. My reluctance to seek any sort of professional help may be hurting me more, but I want to make sure this is a problem before I go in so I don't look like a complete psycho.

I've heard that crying is a way to clean out the area around your eyes, so maybe you just need to wash your face better.

Just because you cry doesn't mean that you have problems, everybody needs to cry now and again, and if you have always been the kind of person not to cry, then maybe your minds going through a change and you just need to let it all out.

Best Keep your concience as clean as you can, or charma will come with a blade in it's hand. It will strike all those who seek to gain without giving, and spare all of those who are weak and forgiving.

Videogamegod : I've heard the same, but I don't think that I need to wash my face better, I have very good face cleanliness.

SilverMaestro : Well it's only a problem, because generally I'm a happy go lucky dude living the life, I don't have too many reasons to be sad, and I don't focus on negative things. So I just find it odd that I've taken to crying.

pardon the sandwich.

Usually it just starts to happen out of nowhere. I have no idea how or why I am crying. It just happens. Normally I'll be fine one second and then tears will come out for seemingly no reason and I feel all sad.

You can't really appreciate crying until you stop it.

Trust me, not being able to cry sucks.

scootheman :

no allergies
no dry eyes
No eyelashes in my eye
Usually both, although sometimes it will be one, either right or left, no pattern.

you honestly might have a hormone imbalance. You should get yourself checked out by a doctor if you can. I doubt it's overly serious but if you can see a doctor for a reasonable fee it might help solve your problem.

Or make a card you can show people for when you start crying that explains that you have no idea why you're crying....

It just means that you're human. I don't cry too much, but when I do, it's usually from something sad or moving. I wouldn't worry too much about it? I mean, does it just come out of nowhere and randomly happen or something? Give me an example.

legacyme3 : I think you’re seeing this as a stereotype. I am turning 27 this week and, I have cried before. There is absolutely nothing whatsoever to ashamed of. Men cry and it actually depending on the situation could relieve stress. Without going into too many details I will tell you that for me personally 2010 has been an extremely trying year for me both on a professional level as well as a personal level.

It seems that these challenges that have come my way this year have been coming in succession like a domino effect. This has caused considerable stress and at times it is difficult to bare. The way I cope with stress is I tend to vent frustration privately to those closest to me. The good thing about that is it helps because much of what has happened this year has not only happened to me personally but also those closest to me.

In the case of the challenges I have faced professionally it has helped to have support around me at times that I become stressed out. It works both ways however and, I give as much support to those closest to me as they do for I. It’s a good support system and it makes these challenges easier to deal with.

I have also been through counseling when I was younger and I can understand how you might see this as a something to be ashamed of but, it’s not. If you were to go talk to someone who is supposedly a professional there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of and, they will not judge you and say that you’re a psycho.

Since you have said that you’ve lacked emotion at times it could be a case of things that may have happened in the past that you may subconsciously may only now allow yourself to go through emotionally. There is nothing wrong with that. I have gone through some personal losses in life that I did not allow myself to cry because I needed to be strong for those closest to me that eventually took a toll on me and I let all of my grieving out after losing someone who was closer to me than most.

As a writer I cover a lot of people who I do not know personally obviously yet, because I cover these people after a while because I cover these athletes so extensively you become attached after a while. I have seen two fighters that I covered often over the years die over the last couple of years and despite not knowing these men and not even meeting them; upon hearing how they lost their lives it can only have an effect on you as a journalist and, considering that I had to cover what happened to each fighter it made it tough to get through and I have no problem saying that I cried because after all, it may be my job to cover these fighters but at the end of the day, I am still a fan at heart.

It is a human quality to show emotion and you shouldn’t feel bad about that. If you are going through some problems it might help to talk to someone because it isn’t healthy to keep your emotions bottled up. You need to vent every now and, then in order to deal with whatever life may throw at you.

Please don’t feel ashamed that you have the ability to cry. It is people that can’t cry that I worry about.

Best of luck to you.

Now on too your question, I don't think that you should see anyone. Unless you are crying because of something then you might have depression or something...

Well is your depression diagnosed by a physician? Or is it self diagnosed.

Another thing is it treated/ being treated?

Or maybe you're unconsciously hiding the fact that you're lonely about something from yourself and you keep saying to yourself that nothing's wrong, everything's alright, I'm a happy person.

It's something like... your heart knows but your mind doesn't.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
