I think when you're younger, say your teenage years, your outer appearance says a lot about what you like and your personality. For example I wore t-shirts with my favorite bands on them and consequently, made myself more approachable to people (and girls) who also liked those bands. Now that i'm older and on the career path, my appearance has changed quite a bit but i'm still friends with the same people from high school so after a point, appearance doesn't matter as much. Humans base their perception mostly on vision so what you first look like is very important. Even if you don't think it should matter, it does. In regards to women, there are plenty of attractive girls out there with good personalities, you just have to be patient and not be overly judgemental at first glance. I've dated women I initially thought I had nothing in common with, but had more fun with them than girls I thought i'd like.
Hmm... the physical feature I look for in a girl are her eyes/facial structure. So long as she takes care of herself by exercising like I do, everything else about her body doesn't really matter that much to me (aside from obvious deformities like an extra limb or weird growths...gross). I'm not trying to be a Narcissist, but I was lucky enough to be born with good looks and good genes and I try to find girls that are naturally good looking as well.

There are plenty of people who won't develop any sense of liking someone for their personality. There are more of them when everyone you know is in school, but there aren't as many in the general world.

love is just weird, you can not try to predict or congtrol itg like that. Things happen and things don't happen. Try not to messs up too bad.
