5 of the 6 puppies were found by an old lady who is taking care of them. The Bosnian Police found out who the girl is, she lives in Bugojno. Under Bosnian law: a person who kills or tortures animals is punishable only with fines ranging from 15 to 5,000 euros (19 to 6,400 dollars). The is the first case of it's kind. I think PETA arrested her, not sure though.

When I saw this atrocity my heart sank this is the lowest of the low I do not care if the puppies were ill or not they do not deserve to be treated that way. I think she should of suffered the chinese water torture for that level of cruelty. I am a big animal lover so I get really upset when people treat animals like that. So I glad the police found her and punished her but I really do think that there needs to be a change in the law so that is strickter more costodial sentences are handed out and heaver fine are issued. All animals should be put down properly by a fully qualified vet. pet's are for life not just for christmas.

Its hard to believe that someone would be able to go through with that. Its not like she killed all of them at the same time either...she decided to kill them off one by one which suggests something to me. On the other hand she needed to kill them off because they were sick, but another method would have been more practical and humane. Either way you look at it its still messed up.

I really don't think that it's necessary to hate people like that. Sure, what she did was definitely not cool, but she is someone just like everybody else. I think more action needs to be taken against animal cruelty than against the people who do it and people need to be educated to fight this.
