The NES game Totally Rad has to be one of the strangest. I mean... You have a metrosexual giant corn guy who throws popcorn at you, and pink bees. And to top it all off, you've got a female character who says this when she gets kidnapped:

"I'm, like, being kidnapped!"

I used to love Totally Rad when I was a kid. Going back and playing it now I am not sure why. I had forgotten about that one though. The NES had a ton of unadulterated weirdness.

Totally Rad is a decent game, luckily. Now that one game called Wild Woody. I'm planning to try it out, and saw someone's playthrough... You kill things by rubbing your butt on them. I know the main character is a pencil, but... what the freak?! Also, the Atari 2600 has a ton of... perverted games. You could sell anything back in those days since there was no say in what was okay for a game at the time. Think about what a Grand Theft Auto after the third one would be like in those days. Haha.

Here's an odd one... Boogerman. I love it, but it's a game about boogers, toilets, and farts. You basically play as a superhero who is the embodiment of all bathroom humor heard at a daycare. Seriously. That's what makes me like it. The humor.

I just started playing amnesia and it is incredible. I know its not all that obscure but it is terrifying. I have not even seen an enemy yet and I am almost too scared to move into the next room. I know this is not really the place but this game is worth a look. It almost didn't come out and the developers worked without a paycheck for quite some time. So if you have the time and twenty bucks look into it.

Back when I was bout 10 I played a game called Zork III. It is to this day the only all text game I have ever seen. Technically though it is not obscure many people know about the Zork series but it was the strangest game I've ever played and it was way to over my head at 10 years old.

Growing up my older brothers had an Apple 2GS and a ton of text adventures. They were definitely hard to wrap my head around but I have always had a soft spot for those games. Classics like The Wishbringer, The Lurking Horror, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and way more than I can remember were wonderful games. Also not a bad way to trick kids into reading.
