In 118 days, I made 100 threads/polls. I know I could have made more, but during May I was very busy with semester's exams and I was here every other day.

Polls can be bad when done wrong, but yours are a good example of when it's done right
I think when asking about specific things polls are great, not so good if you want to know what someone likes if there is alot of it, but great for multiple choice between 2-5 options.

I prefer threads with a deeper topic behind them... but having someone as dedicated to making threads/polls as you are is nice. We need someone making lots or the board slows down a lot as everyone posts in the existing threads.

well... they don't need to be followed as much as you think... but I know what you mean. Generally when you make a serious thread you need to return regularly to defend your position (if you picked one). I can understand why a lot of people don't like those types of threads.... they can create a lot of frustration when people don't, or refuse to, come to any sort of common ground.
