I think no because it was a good game and fun to play and with all the story's that went on could have opened up to more charactors and even more games and i think it was actually one of the better sonic games

Sonic was always about speed, and in the same type of enviroment as an adventure game it just doesnt seem to work as well as it did in a platform enviroment.
If they wanted Sonic to be an adventure game then they should have made him more like Mario honestly.
That's just my opinion anyway.

I don't think so, because I've always really liked Sonic Heroes. I think they started getting bad when Sonic The Hedgehog was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2006. Then the Sonic franchise went downhill.

Sonic Adventure 2 was a masterpiece. I'm probably one of only about 8 people that think Sonic moving to 3D was a good idea. Then Sonic heroes came out and there were some glaring flaws. I could get past the childishness and the cheesiness of the dialogue/story (to be fair, it was meant to be approachable by casual players and those new to the Sonic franchise), but the controls were glitchy and the camera was a pain to fight with. But was it the downfall of Sonic? It very likely was. This was Sega's first attempt at a multi-platform game, which probably explains all the glitches.

Yeah, Sonic Heroes was the downfall. It's still okay, I don't think it's really that bad, it's just not good as the rest, and also that after this, the series got worse and worse. I still think Sonic 06 was the peak, however.. I hope that Sonic 4 brings the series back to it's original glory.
