What do you guys think of the announcement that Nintendo would be creating "virtual Game Cards"? for the Switch and Switch 2?

At first I thought it was a dumb idea because that's no different than downloading a game to a micro sd card like normal.

But then they said it will make it easy to transfer games to another system or to loan digital games out to a family member. It does kinda suck that both people have to be on the same internet connection and family membership plan, but I think that's a huge step.

Just give me a traditional game cartrige. I'm old school I guess, but I want to have a whole bunch of boxes and cartridges on a shelf, I want them to all be distinctly labeled, and I want to grab one and put it into my console. I don't want a digital download unless it's free. I also don't want a virtual game card. Just give me a traditional game card with a cool sticker on it and a cool box to put it in.

I thought it sounded really cool at first and then after watching their demonstration I just thought it sounded way too complicated lol. I have a Steam family set up with my dad and that is by far the nicest system I've ever seen for sharing games with your family outside of physical copies and I wish other companies would do things like that. Common Valve W I guess.
