Did you know the X rating wasn't supposed to be used for porn at all originally? The first few movies that had an X rating were intense car-crash movies and things like that, it was just adopted to only be applied to the naked ones. But should the original concept come back?

It's barely used because movies try to be just under NC-17 to avoid decreased box office revenue. "Showgirls" is one. "Requiem for a dream" was actually rated NC-17, but decided to go unrated instead.

Ratings just rate what content is involved in the game / movie. That does not mean it will stop people from buying it.

The problem with giving gory, violent movies with an X rating is pointless because that is exactly what R movies are. I think X should be used to describe just porn movies and that is it or you might as well just stick to one rating and call it R.

I don't think they should. Theres really not a high demand for it for one, it's really not needed, and it'll just take away from the gaming industry, and what it's about. If you want X-Rated material go watch porn or play a computer game on the net tht offers it. bringing it to consoles is just a poor idea in my mind.
