2022 saw a pretty big decline in my activity due to various health problems I've experienced over the past year, and also due to my IT job consuming a lot of my time and mind. In order to get a lot accomplished on the site, I pretty much had to take time off from work. 2022 was the least active I've been in over 15 years With that being said, I did accomplish a few things, which includes:

-Launched an RGR Plugin Update that allows games in the RGR to be playable with the plugin again!

-Updated the Screenshots feature and fixed some issues that it had

-Began Development on a New RGR Experience for mobile devices and game consoles, which will hopefully launch in January of 2023

-Introduced EmulatorJS (browser emulation) to the RGR, which supports more systems, supports netplay, and works better for some people for some game systems

-Fixed various bugs and issues throughout the site

Although this site is turning 18 years old, Vizzed has been around a lot longer. There were 2 previous Vizzed Boards, the first starting in late 2002. But the anniversary that I find more significant, which is coming in just a few months, is the 20 year anniversary of Vizzed.com! Vizzed.com was founded on March 3rd, 2003. I plan to put together an anniversary video of some sort, similar to this one, but with more emphasis on the site itself, and with more stats and graphs, and maybe with more of a narrative. If anyone is interested in making a cameo in that video, be sure to let me know

I hope your health has improved and you have a healthy year overall in 2023 David!

I'd be up for making a cameo in the video if it's open to everyone but I'd personally see about getting members who have been around longer than me or ones that were around at the start of the site to see if they'd make a cameo.

To be completely honest I didn't expect to win Member of the year again I had a couple of members who I thought would win it but just as I've been helpful to you I wouldn't be able to keep being active without the people on the staff and mod team!

Happy Birthday to Vizzed, the occasion has seemed to sneak up on me so quickly year after year.

It has been a pleasure being here for so long, and I'm glad to see the site is still pulling through. It makes me sad the low number of votes this year and in years prior, but it is somewhat my fault for not voting too.

I know every member appreciates how hard you've worked on the site for all these years and I especially appreciate the commitment to ever improving the site despite a full time job and taking care of kids (soon to be teens!).

And the work sonic has put in not just this past year, but seemingly every year I can remember justifies his standing as the member of the year, I couldn't think of anyone better for the award.

I wish everyone a happy holidays and I look forward to how 2023 will be here in Vizzed.

This is no small feat, running this long. I still remember when I joined on my lost account noticing the donations needed to get the snes and other systems onto this site through the plug-in and such an active community. Those were the days.

Let’s see how far the site can go for another decade or so.
