Hey everyone. I know it's been a long time since I have even posted anything here. I have had a really rough year... 2021 wasn't too kind to me. I am currently on journey to heal mentally from it. I don't want to go into details as I don't want to bring anyone else down. What I will say is, it's been the roughest time in my entire life.

I hope you all are doing well and life is being more than kind to you, especially since covid has really affected a lot of people. I will try to be around more often. Talk to you all soon.

Courage is not having the strength to go on, it's going on when you don't have the strength. ????

One of the old names is back! Glad to see you around again, I know it may not be for a good reason but if you trust us to help in your healing then we will do so.

The year's been rough for many people. I've also had my moments of just wanting to go to heaven already, specially at the start of the year though there have been a few others more recently. It's nothing covid-related, I've been pretty safe on that end since nobody I know has ever caught it and I haven't suffered any bad side effects from everything covid has caused.

I endured those times and relished on the good ones, which were very good I must say, and I've been able to make it here. I keep enduring the tough real life while knowing there are reasons that make everything worth it. At least I have luck in that side, because normally I'm extremely unlucky no matter what I attempt to do.

I sincerely hope things can improve for you as well. Don't worry about bringing people down, we're all dealing with our own issues and understand your pain, so share whatever you feel like sharing without minding us.

Heyo I'm not really familiar with you but it's always good to see an old member return and like Palen said you won't cause any harm if you do feel okay talking about any of what's been going on in your life but that's only if you choose to.
Personally 2021 has been okay to me I'd say I've made some huge strives in some areas where others everything is crashing down around me while having covid didn't really harm me it did ruin a really important thing to me and I couldn't leave to see people I care about during my birthday but I'll gladly take that because I know it could of been a lot worse. I hope to see you around!

SunflowerGaming :

Nice to see you pop up, it's been a while since we talked last. Still remember some fun times in the old chatroom.

Sorry to hear about how your 2021 went. I remember you as a strong person and I know you can heal from whatever happened this year, just take as much time as you need. You got this! This s***ty year is almost over.

My personal 2021 hasn't been great either but it's been much better than 2020. Lost my dog and my grandmother among some other family members but I've finally found my place in college and my motivation has been all the way up for that. I've kind of come to adapt the one day at a time mindset and just appreciating the things and the people that make me smile.

I'll look forward to seeing your name pop up every now and then

I don't recognize your name, but hey!

2021 has been a game changer for me. I spent the better first half of the year in a chemical haze, and then kicked the habit and got sober in beginning of september. I've been struggling off and on with self harm/"final escape" strategies, which has been another addiction all of my life, but i'm getting better with it. I had a good friend who got sober around the same time I did go back out (into using), which was hard but i stayed sober. I reconnected with somebody who has been really instrumental in my life, and i'm grateful for it.

So, praying 2022 is better for both of us.

Yeah, 2021 has been a pivotal year for me too. I learned (and am still learning) a lot about myself that I kind of always knew but kept listening to other people too much. My family is not supportive (mainly my dad) of me moving out and taking care of my life and living it the way I want to live it. He won't let me be responsible for myself, and I'm still living in this toxic environment which keeps getting worse while my mental health and well being is improving.

How is that possible? Anyway, I've made progress with money but am still struggling. He has tried to help, but he wants to do too much that I don't need him to do while he won't help me with basic things. I've given up on him and just started living how I want to live. In the coming year, (or next year) I'm moving out one way or another! Then, I'll be rid of all of them.

I have a job now, and I don't dare discuss any of this with them. I've come close to doing that, but I'm glad I didn't. I did do that in the past, and that turned out horrible for me. I feel like I'm doing better now than I ever have and am getting quite an awareness of the world around me I never had. I'm not the same person I was when this year started. I don't know how things changed, but they did.

Maybe it was my new job, but it was a combination of a lot of things that made me clean up my whole act. I got new clothes and a whole new look now. I've opened a whole new chapter in my life now after years of going nowhere. Throughout my life, I attempted to do this but failed. This time, I feel like it's going to work out in 2022 and in the coming years as I'm approaching 40 years old.

Better late than never. Personally, I don't think I look 40 at all! I look like I'm in my 20s and come across that way to people too. I actually like myself now and am happier being alone and away from all the haters. I don't hate anymore either on people. I just don't care. I'll listen to there problems but only so much. Not everybody has the willpower I have. Some do, but those people are few and far between. You sound like you do somewhat.

At least you recognize the year was bad for you and are realistic about your situation. Most people are too delusional to see how bad their life really is. I hope your life is not like that and pray 2022 is better for you, me, and a lot of the other people who have responded to your thread. Sorry this response is so long, but I haven't posted on here in over a year, and those posts weren't good to say the least! I just hope this one is. I hope this one doesn't come across as cringe and needy as those threads were.

Hey! I am sorry to hear that 2021 was so rough for you. These past few years have been rough on most people and it's especially hard because it's easy to feel isolated. Without Jesus I definitely would not have made it through this year. If you need to talk please don't hesitate to message me!

Been avoiding this but I feel like I know what to say. Life has kicked me down too with a low blow and just curb stomping me while I was on the ground, defenseless on what to do. As life kept kicking me I saw a stick and grabbed it to defend myself on the onslaught of blows to my body and hit back out of self defense. Life was stunned by my quick thinking as I *WHAM* *POW* *BOP* out of those kicks and got back on my feet. Life didn’t want to back down just yet so it suplex me and finished me off with an ankle lock as I tap out and boom, I lost my world title…

Life has kicked me down also. I took it upon myself to exact my revenge by eating a bowl of Life cereal. Thank you for your time while I completely misunderstand the reason of this thread.
