classgame : I haven't decided yet but I want to go with something that'll give us the most quality games. I will say that it wont be anything newer than Dreamcast since there are too many legal issues with that and I wouldn't have the storage space for anything newer anyway.

Well, glad to see you managed to find a solution, even if not immediate, to the RGR problem. I sincerely hope we can get it done and preserve that part of the site which has been so important for a decade.

I'm curious about that all-new emulator we can get added with the second milestone. Seems to be a multi-purpose one which will also increase the number of available systems, so the choices shouldn't be many. Still, I'd like to see the surprise rather than spoil it.

So many people picking custom colored usernames and here I am, with the chance of picking a custom color because of rank but staying with the usual color of my position. Almost makes me feel I have no personality because I'm just one more of the bunch xD

Yes, RetroArch is definitely the best option out there. I've been using it for a week or so and I'm mesmerized by it. Still has some flaws, because it took me a lifetime to modify the controls for Player 2 on a specific emulator, but I guess that's more due to me not knowing where to look at than the program itself xD

Getting netplay back would be awesome, and to have it expanded beyond what we had just a few months ago just makes it better. We feared 2021 would bring the "destruction" of the RGR and instead just one month into the year it could have a renaissance well beyond its peak in terms of playability.

Could you give a little more info on the HDD?
I'm assuming it would be an HDD with all the games, including everything no longer playable (thanks Nintendo and other companies)? WOuld it play directly from the files?
And, if I wanted to, could I move the files from one HDD to another? (I already have an HDD dedicated just to games for my gaming laptop)

Just to keep everyone up to date with what's going on. I seem to have lost contact with Tom, the guy who made the RGR Plugin. He responded to my email a few weeks ago when I expressed to him interest in having him update it and I emailed him again after we hit the first fundraiser goal and he hasn't responded. In fact, I've messaged him 3 times now over the past week and still nothing. So, I'll be most likely posting a job offer on Freelancer.com for someone to help me out.

In the mean time, I want the fundraiser to continue. Extra money can definitely help be put toward RGR Plugin updates.
