The last chapter was pretty short, so that's a good excuse for me to post this one so soon. More development on my made-up characters in this chapter!

Chapter 5

Late at night, Greeny told Bronze he needed to obtain as much information on Pac-Man from the internet as possible. He didn’t know yet when he would join forces with Blinky, so he wanted to get a better idea of who they were about to deal with.

“Alright, so I got Pac-Land News Weekly and Wakkawakkapedia! Which source should I analyze information from first?” Bronze asked.

“Wakkawakkapedia duh! Everyone knows you can’t trust the news,” Greeny responded.

“Oh yeah, that should have been obvious to me!” Bronze exclaimed. He scrolled through the article, copied some of it into a document, and annotated it. He also made sure to share the document with the others.

Greeny did a low laugh and told Bronze and Silver, “We get to take our skills to the next level! Ooh man, I can’t wait.” He turned to Silver and told him, “You need to look up a picture of Pac-Man on Bronze’s tablet and draw it for me!”

“Will do!” Silver replied.

“But there’s already a picture on this Wakkawakkapedia article!” Bronze told Greeny.

Greeny rolled his eyes. “Oh, whatever! Maybe the rest of the internet has better ones!” He took out his cell phone to call Violet since she had to go back home a few hours before this. Her twin brother had once again forgotten where the key was to get in the house, so she had to go there and show it to him. Soon after that, her younger sister crashed to sleep.
Violet’s house, painted light yellow with a green door, stood out among the others in her Booming City neighborhood. The short house had one window on each side. Violet’s “bedroom”, where she was when Greeny called her, was painted white with a green carpet floor. It was located to the left of the entrance.

“Hey Greeny, what’s up?” Violet whispered.

“Can you put me on speakerphone?” Greeny boomed.

“I can’t. My sister already fell asleep three hours ago,” she sighed.

“Oh. Darn. I need to put you on speakerphone so Silver and Bronze can hear you. Get on your computer and check out this document that Bronze is working on. We’re getting a profile on this Pac-Man… uh… man!” Greeny told her.

“Cool!” Violet whisper-yelled. She floated over to her computer, which sat on the other side of her kitchen table. The document had all sorts of helpful details about Pac-Man they needed to know, such as:
-he isn’t afraid of ghosts
-he navigates all sorts of mazes well
-he talks normally but makes a weird noise when eating pellets

“Interesting,” Violet commented. “I’m sorry, why are we joining Blinky’s team to catch Pac-Man?”

“BECAUSE HE’S A JERK!” Greeny answered thoughtlessly. “Pac-Man, I mean.”

“...OK. Is that all Blinky told you? Do we have any more information?” Violet asked.

“Wow, I actually don’t remember!” Greeny responded, surprising himself.

Silver finally joined the conversation. “Didn’t he say when we met him that Pac-Man’s basically a yellow circle with a mouth?”

“Ooh! Yeah,” Bronze told them.

“Any other questions??” Greeny wondered.

“Will somebody write… er, type that down?” Violet replied.

“Sure,” Bronze answered.

Greeny smiled wide. “Man, I can’t wait to meet with Blinky to plan this thing out. We need to make sure Pac-Man RUNS at the sight of ghosts!”
