In previous years, the Pokémon GO Fest had taken place in real life places where trainers had to buy a ticket to go. Tickets will still be required to experience the entire event this time, although all coaches can expect some sort of bonus.


Habitat Rotation

As part of the first day of GO Fest, every hour there will be habitat rotation. These include fire, water, plants, fighting, and friendship.

As the names of the habitats suggest, Pokémon of the same type will appear when each one is active. The active habitat will depend on where in the world you are.

To maximize them, the incense will last for an hour and will also be more effective in attracting Pokémon, so we suggest using one! Additionally, Niantic has advised coaches to save their gifts on the first day. This is because the Friendship Habitat will feature a Global Challenge to send gifts to friends.
