I've upgraded the version of RetroArch that Vizzed uses from 1.8.1 to 1.8.4 for most of the systems.
This has been the biggest upgrade so far. Many of the issues we had with RetroArch's browser emulation seem to be gone and so I was able to upgrade most of the game systems to the latest version.
Here's a list of every system that got upgraded to 1.8.4:
-Arcade
-Atari 2600
-Atari 7800
-Game Boy
-Game Boy Color
-Neo Geo Pocket
-Neo Geo Pocket Color
-Super Nintendo
-TurboGrafx
-WonderSwan
-WonderSwan Color
-Virtual Boy
Systems that previously used an old version but are now upgraded:
-Nintendo NES (from 1.7.6)
-Sega Genesis (from 1.7.6)
-Game Gear (from 1.7.6)
-Sega Master System (from 1.7.6)
-Atari Lynx (from 1.7.#)
-Game Boy Advance (from 1.8.0)
Systems still using 1.7.7:
-Nintendo 64
Users using Microsoft Edge are still going to be stuck using 1.7.0 (it's set to be automatic after it detects your browser) so be sure to play these games with Firefox or Google Chrome if you can.
If you experience any issues that are probably caused by the new version, let me know. Here's a list of things added to versions 1.8.2 - 1.8.4:
-
1.8.4
-
1.8.3
-
1.8.2
(not all features are supported by emscr
ipten)
