So we've all played plenty of Pokemon games in our life, right? Right?

So what I'm wondering here is, what are some of your all time favorite experiences playing through Pokemon? It could literally be anything, from finally beating a gym leader or finding your first shiny Pokemon. It can come from a spin off game like Mystery Dungeon as well, anything goes.

For mine I'd probably have to say the time I was doing a Pokemon Black nuzlocke. I was fighting Ghetsis, so if I win the fight I beat the game. Only one Pokemon stood in my way of beating him, and it's the infamous Hydreigon. I mean this thing is infamous for a reason. Not only is it super strong already as a pseudo legendary Pokemon, with a base 125 Special Attack, but it also has insane coverage, especially for an NPC fight. I mean they gave this thing Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast and even Surf. So realistically there's a very high chance you're getting hit for super effective damage here regardless of what you send out.

I was struggling, my team clearly being underpowered as I had gotten beaten up by one of the elite four, I think the fighting guy, so I only had 3 Pokemon going into both the N fight and after beating him the current Ghetsis fight. He's down to his last Pokemon but he managed to kill two of my 3 Pokemon that were still alive, meaning it has to come down to my Sawsbuck or I lose a main game nuzlocke for the first time. Obviously it outspeeds me, and obviously it decides to go straight for the Fire Blast. Now normally this should be the end of me right? A pseudo legendary with 125 base Special Attack going for a base 120 power Fire type move, against a lower leveled, weaker grass type. And you would be right, except for the fact that my Sawsbuck literally lives on 1 HP and CRITS the Hydreigon with a Jump Kick, which knocks it out.

I had anticipated that I'd outspeed the Hydreigon, so I assumed that I would have to land 2 jump kicks in a row while also living the Fire Blast. When I saw him go first my heart sank but my deer buddy pulled through and we won the nuzlocke.

My favorite Pokémon experience was with Pokémon Battle Revolution. It was nothing but the battles, and that was just perfect. My favorite part about it was having your own Pokémon duel each other. That was always interesting, and even though I knew their moves and everything about them, I always wondered what the CPU would do with them. Even fighting against CPU Pokémon in the tournament modes felt good, as it just felt interesting to kick the CPU's ass. They should seriously bring that Pokémon Stadium experience back, because there are many people like myself who enjoy Pokémon mostly for the battles and that the adventure is just kind of there. I'll swallow anything - even the ridiculous crap like Dynamaxing - if it means I get to play something like Pokémon Battle Revolution again.

I remember during my days of Pokemon Y, I hooked up with Mega Mewtwo X, the vizzed user that is, and we started battling with one another and chatting up. I don't exactly remember all the details, but I do know we went through a war of attrition as we tried adjusting our teams to best one another. While I used pokemon such as glass cannon Porygon Z, dual form Meloetta, and I believe I used Trevenant for a while and got good results with him, he came at me with my first exposures to mega Scizor, and then the monolith that was eviolite Chansey. I spent many an hour trying to whittle down that Chansey. However, I remember the one thing that I couldn't defeat, and it was an eye opening experience.

One day we battle, he brings in a Whimsicott. Here's the thing about Whimsicott, it has the ability prankster, giving priority to any status moves in the same vein as quick attack, and then it has cotton guard, a move that raises defense by a factor of 2.5. It also packed tailwind, doubling the speed of any pokemon he wanted switched in, and that hurricane hit like, well, I live in Florida so I can attest. Somehow that one Whimsicott was the ultimate answer to everything I threw at Mewt. It was a god amongst fairies. We spoke its name with reverence and fear. I'm sure at some point I managed to get something together to challenge it, but it took long enough for it to lay waste to my team through tankiness, buffs, and being powerful enough. Now Whimsy is up in my list of favs.

My favorite experience would probably be every time that I catch a shiny because it's always so much fun getting one and all uour hard work pays off. I got a bunch in Alpha Sapphire and Let's Go Eevee and still have them stored away for safekeeping.

I would probably also say that I really enjoyed whenever the legendary pokemon would ever show up, like they do it so very well that I can't help but love it whenever they do and I also love how they usually come in trios or duos and how they have a theme.

My favorite experience was catching the 386th pokemon in Pokemon Emerald. It took a lot of trading, time, and scouring for promo pokemon... but I finally officially completed the Pokedex. It's the largest one I've ever finished.

Favorite experience in playing Pokémon is the replay ability when I was young. Blue red and yellow I always make a new game and just start from scratch enjoying the game and just savor the time training my Pokémon. Pokémon crystal, battery was dead so I can never save the game but I always play from 6 am till the battery dies or some mishap happens and start over knowing I don’t get tired from it

Currently my favorite experience was playing with my friend.

In the DS amd 3DS era, I was rarely online. I never did an online battle and I never did a regular trade, I would only wonder trade every now and then.

But with Sword, I wohld go to my friends house and play online with him. We would just hang out in the Wild Area and do raids together, cook in our camps, and search for items.

Whenever I'm there we would play for a couple hours and it's so much fun.

Wow, that must have been a tough battle! Glad you pulled it off! Hydreigon sure is a powerful Pokemon. I should attempt the Nuzlock challenge one day, it seems pretty challenging.

I think there are multiple experiences where I was really enjoying myself playing Pkmn experiences. I can count the time where I found a shiny Kakuna in Fire Red (and back then I was playing on Vizzed, rip RGR games...), beating Red for the first time in HGSS, going to the PokeStar Studios, playing Emerald over and over...

As I am typing this, there is one particular moment that I just remembered. I do not know if you're familiar with the Pokemon Rebirth hack (its a hack of Emerald and in that game you can basically catch all of the 386 pkmn). i remember seeing an open door at Prof Birch's lab, and I had the curiosity to check it. a few seconds later I see lugia and I freak out! it was level 70 and I had just chosen my starter who was only level 5 at the time!!! this was so unexpected!! whats worse, there was a cave not too far from the route above the first town you go in to, and in that cave theRE ARE LEVEL 100 LEGENDARIES!!! YOU COULD FINE MEWTWO, ENTEI, ZAPDOS, ANYONE YOU WANT EXCEPT MYTHICALS AND THE WEATHER TRIO I THINK!!! I FREAKED OUT AGAIN!!! id often go to this place though to grind. i would lose a lot of poke dollars, sure, but sometimes if I were lucky enough id actually knock out a pokemon, if it kept using moves such as reflect, light screen... credit goes to leech seed, poisonpower..you name it, haha! I miss playing Rebirth so much.
