For the first time in years, I'm offering out cash prizes to the top 3 winners of the annual Bomberman '94 Tournament! I'm planning on making this as much of a community event as possible. I'm trying to get as many users involved and also want to get as many of the matchups live streamed as possible so that we can also get a lot of users involved with spectating the season long event.





In this tournament we'll be playing Bomberman '94 for the Turbo Grafx. Each user will play 2 matchups a week. You get to choose which day and time you want to play each week from a list of available times and days. Each matchup could be any of the following:
-1-5 Player Free for All
-2 Players vs 2 Players
-1 Player vs 1 Player
-Other possible combinations


This tournament is incredibly flexible to everyone's schedule. Each week you can choose between the selectable times and days that you're available to play. As long as you're available 2 nights a week between 7 PM - 9 PM central time Wednesday-Saturday nights then you'll be able to participate. You can even miss a few matchups and still have a shot at making it to the final matchup (but just don't miss too many otherwise you'll be added to the netplay ban list).


In each matchup the players will play until someone has won 5 games so a single matchup can take between 15-30 minutes. 1st place will get 7 points, 2nd place 5 points, 3rd place 3 points, 4th place 2 points and 5th place 1 point. Failure to show up to a matchup automatically results into 0 points. Every week (except the first week) the 2 users (or more, depending on how many enter) with the lowest amount of points will be eliminated from the tournament. If there's a tie, both users will be eliminated.


For each matchup, the level you play and the time you play will be predetermined. All matches will take place at either 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 or 9:00 PM central time on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. If you are eliminated from the tournament for failing to show up to your matchups, you'll be placed on the tournament ban list which means you wont be able to participate in a netplay tournament until next year and you'll also be fined 10,000 Viz.

Requirements:
-You must be available 2 nights a week between 7 PM - 9 PM central time Wednesday-Saturday nights
-You must live in the United States (unless you have had very little lag problems playing netplay with USA users)
-The RGR Plugin must work fine on your computer

I would enjoy participating in this tournament , seems interesting and i would definitively have a fun time bombing away against and with others

I was able to make it to the finals last year (even though I totally stressed myself out too much trying to get in), so I don't see why I shouldn't sign up again this year. Also, if things work out (and to go along with my role), I should be able to live stream my games, or at least be able to record them for YouTube. Looking forward to see all you guys and gals in the tournament!

Bomberman 94' is a great and wonderful game to play, Would love to join this matchup with you all. I do have one questions i do see March 19, 2019 is starting date,What is the ending date . Last but not least i do have to be out of town from March 25th - March 29th would this effect me and lower my chanced of winning. I tried it out again because I wasn't having much luck with it before and it seems to be running surprisingly well for me. Relatively, anyway... It's still not good, but certainly playable. The only thing that's keeping me from committing is that I want to test a session with someone to make sure it's actually gonna work. If anyone wants to get a test session in, lemme know.

Letting you all know that I'm going to postpone the start date for this by 1 week. I was hoping to get some more users before starting so we'll begin this tournament next week on Tuesday.

We have 25 contestants. I was aiming for 20, I exceeded that by a good amount. We haven't had this many users join since 2016. I'm hoping most of us who joined can stick with it because this tournament has the potential of being pretty exciting.
