What is it? It's a pedometer. It tells you how much you walk. But at the same time, if you walk, it slowly pays you a cryptocurrency that can eventually be used for small rewards or saved up for bigger ones.

I've seen so many ads for Sweat Coin all over the place, I always just assumed it was a scam. Does it actually work? Are any of the rewards worth anything?

tgags123 : it does actually work, however it gives you so little money that unless you walk all the time, it’s not really worth it.

And it does give you real prizes and stuff, however anything worth your time cost so many coins that it’ll take forever to accumulate.

Barathemos : That's pretty much what I assumed, which is why I never downloaded it despite their constant bombardment of advertisements.

tgags123 : I mean, the rewards that are worth it and take up a lot of time really are worth it. For 20,000 coins you can get an iPhone Xs or $1,000. 20,000 coins is a lot but if you walk a lot anyway or you basically just walk normally would have been fine. Yeah maybe it takes 4 years to rack up 20,000 coins but in retrospect, think about how awesome it would have been to get a free iPhone or $1000 Just for normally going to and from high school?

I'm a super premium member, which costs 30 coins a month and if I walk a lot, I'm able to get up to 20 coins per day, or 600 coins a month. Free members can get up to 150 coins a month. I only had the app for a few days now and from what I see, it looks like 1 mile of walking will get you around 3 to 5 coins so your normal walk to school or work will slowly get you coins every day and they will add up over time.

At that rate, if you pay (with coins) and you average say 2 miles a day you can get the mediocre prizes within a week or two and the big ones can be saved up. It's better to do your regular amount of walking and get an iPhone or something big down the line instead of doing the walking anyway and not getting anything in return.

Plus the weak prizes are cool too, I bought a 3 month trial to a random music site for 1 days worth of coins.




Barathemos : Even if you do minimal walking, a couple years down the line it would have been better to get a big prize for your walking instead of doing the walking anyway and not get anything at all.

Can I download this app onto my Doro phone? I don't want to have to carry my iPad Pro with me for entire walks, they could tire out my arms.

Barathemos : What if I took it to a job where I'm essentially working eight hours a day?

This app seems cool. I don't have a lot of reason to walk around with my phone at the moment. But I'm moving soon, and should have that theoretical eight hour job.

pennylessz : Id recommend getting the app, just so you have it if you know you’re going to be walking. The returns are marginal, but hey, if you’re working a 40 hr/week job that requires a lot of movement, your rewards would stack up much faster that mine would, and it’d surely be worth the download.
