Tomorrow from the time I'm posting this, a JRPG that was only available for the Xbox 360 in the west 10 years ago is finally making it's return. This time however it's coming out on multiple platforms: Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. If you're a JRPG fan, a person who played the Xbox 360 version back in the day, or if you have previous experience with the Tales series, then this is an absolute must buy, regardless of the platform you choose.

For those of you who plan on getting it, which system are you getting it for? Me personally, I'm going to be playing it on the Switch because I want to have the option to play it in either docked or handheld mode.

gamerforlifeforever : Like you, I'm excited for this on the Switch. I love the ability to play on the go if I want. I have so many good games to play though, it's getting hard to fit them all!

I just really hope the PC version doesn't end up being an awful port like Tales of Symphonia was. I didn't get to play it, but the issues were numerous from what I've heard, from limited options to broken controller support to the game just refusing to boot at all on some systems. I'm hoping that the same mistakes won't be repeated again, but I might grab the Switch version or something just to be safe. Either that, or I could just wait until people have the chance to play the PC version.

I'll probably get it. I loved Berseria and enjoyed Zestiria. I tried Symphonia, but I think its hard going backwards.

I've already preordered the European premium edition for PS4 which seems to have a lot cool stuff in it. The reason being that the PS4 is my main gaming platform and I like collecting trophies, which I can't using a Switch because there's no achievement system. I almost got it for Xbox 360 a couple of years back when I found it used but I'm glad I didn't since it eventually got this rerelease.

I'm excited to play it since Vesperia was always the one game in the Tales series I wanted to try out but never did. It seemed like it had most of the stuff that originally pulled me into the series, specifically being hailed by many as having the best cast and story out of all the games. Too bad it might take a while until I actually get to enjoy it as I've been pretty busy as of late. There's a lot of other games coming out soon too that I'm looking forward to as well, mainly Kingdom Hearts 3 and Steins Gate: Elite which is going to make it hard to divide my playtime.

I have played Tales of Zestiria in the past and liked it but I've never played this one or any of the other ones. But, if it's going to be on the Switch then I might as well give it a shot. It just cant be too expensive though.

I've been meaning to get into the Tales series of games. I own a Nintendo Switch and PS4 so this may be the best option for me to get into, since I know basically the rest of the series is pretty expensive (I'm looking at you Tales of Destiny).

NovemberJoy : I've heard nothing but positive things about the PC version, so if that's where you want to play it, I'd recommend it.

earthwarrior : I still haven't had a chance to play Symphonia, but loved Berseria. I wasn't a fan of Zesteria however.

I got it for playstation 4, I just sort of saw it on sale on the playstation store and I couldn't really help myself from getting it. XD

Tales of Vesperia was a game I was always super sad I missed out on as a kid, because I loved the Tales series, and JRPGs in general... but I wasn't about to buy an XBox for one game.

Thankfully, with the Definitive Edition, I was able to finally try it out! And it was every bit as good as I'd hoped.

Right now, I'd put it in my top 3 Tales games of all time (along with Berseria and Symphonia, although the Xillia games are really close!)
