First motion controller I remember was the power glove for the NES. As far as the concept goes total rip off by both companies, then again so Is even making a console for the home market unless u were the first Magnavox. So they are all taking ideas from each other, its a good thing, makes gaming more diverse and fun.

How is anything ripping off the power glove? Having used one myself, i can easily say that it is a piece of junk. Now, the Wii on the other hand, being recently crowned best most selling console by Nintendo, having just recently surpassed the NES, is a different story. I would have to say either Sony or Microsoft is ripping off Nintendo because as we have found out with the Wii, it can be used by anyone (seriously, hospitals use the Wii, that's a major boost over Sony and Microsoft) making it a wanted product. Now i say either or when it comes to Sony and MS because the first one ripped off Nintendo, and the second company just ripped of the first. Seriously, I have a hard time finding the difference between both Sony's and Microsoft's products. But since Nintendo started the phenomenon with the Wii, i would have to call it a ripoff.

Well, apparentley motion controls are "the new big thing"

In all of this competition to make a game with motion controls I want to simply state that I prefer just having a normal controller that doesn't care whether I excercise or not.
So, until they make gloves and shoes to make the game actually feel "realistic" I'll stick to original controllers.

BOTTOM LINE Oh yea, it's not only a rip off. It's the new competition.

I don't really think so. I would say no because Wii is really the first of its kind and usually whenever another company tries to duplicate what another company has it usually comes up short unless it completely copies the idea and is therefore in danger of being sued.
