Doesn't look like I'll be able to take the gray.
Which I noticed a day or two ago, why am I not on the grey leaderboard, but I'm on the overall?

thing1 : You won the Gray Banner the last TdV. The system malfunctioned a bit as it didn't have you registered as winning it (and it can only be won once I'm pretty sure).

I managed to get 23 points yesterday, which was huge for me. By picking up the two 7-pointers in the final 10 minutes or so I was able to bring my average needed over the remaining 3 days down to 13.67 points per day, as others have mentioned. Basically I need 14 points two of the days, and 13 points one of the days. Very doable, and at this point I will consider it a pretty embarrassing failure if I don't break 500.

Furret : No, I think it's that you can't win it back to back.
I had no idea that I had won it last go around. Well, at least I can say I'll probably try to keep my streak of top 10 finishes alive, and onto 3, and 4 of the last 5.

I'm going to start working a "History of the TdV" page. I think that would be an interesting project.

Update: By picking up 18 points yesterday, I now only need to average 11.5 points per day over the last 2 days to reach 500. I could potentially do it tomorrow, if I can get a couple of 7-pointers and get 23 total points.

Also, some more information worth noting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the current points record is help by Yuna1000, when she reached 492 points in Spring 2017. I am definitely on track to break that record, but many have pointed out that I have one extra day to work with. However, if I get 15 points today I can tie the record in the same amount of days, and if I get 16 points today I can break it in the same number of days. I'd be very happy if I could do this, because then I wouldn't have to deal with the "it doesn't count because 31 days" argument

Well I broke 400 and officially secured Red, so a great day in general. After today I'll have officially secured Green as well which makes the Gray and White banners the only things still up for grabs. And realistically speaking it looks like Gray will be secured after today as well.

Will a new person show up to claim white last second or will this be the third TdV without a White banner winner.

Everything is clinched, except for green, which Furret can clich with 6 (or 7, not sure who would get the tie breaker) points over the next 2 days, if tgags managed to get 7 pointers both days.

Well done, everybody.

I mean, I guess the top 10 isn't concrete yet, but still, all the major stuff is.

Well, I think I'm going to try and get to the 9,500 post mark today. Hopefully that would be enough for me to get my 50th blue jersey.

Oh shoot, I was so focused on my quest for 500 points and breaking Yuna's record that I didn't even realize I clinched the Rainbow Banner. That's pretty cool I suppose lol. First time I've won it, and unlike in 2014, a latecomer wasn't able to steal it from me in the final days of the competition

tgags123 : Mathematically, you are the winner of this month's TdV, Furret could get the maximum 28 points and you don't have to score a single point, and you'll still end up winning this month's TdV, but knowing you, just winning TdV isn't enough, your mindset is that 500. I know you'll do it at the end,

As for a "latecomer", Furret almost pulled that same trick on you this month, but after you learned from Summer 2014, you're not playing that game again lol

IgorBird122 : I lost my chance at the title the moment zanderlex stopped competing the same day I had an off day due to an exam. I needed them to split the points in Yellow/Blue while I could dominate Red and get 7 pointers in Green for me to really catch up. I still came fairly close despite of that.

Also I woke up to compete the last 2 hours because I figured competition had died down enough, but here is Yuna at 300 CP and actions lol. Not much I can do about that anymore so I'll let her have those jerseys, she's been working hard the past week or so and I often ended up having to pass her in the last hour (something I really hate doing).

That said, her being so dominant does mean that I've practically secured Green as there's no way I can see tgags catch up with her.

tgags123 : ?? What do you mean by "holding me off?" I'm guessing you've never seen me in Competitive Mode…? D= While it's a bit sad to see how easy it is to score points right now (especially when I start to recall how much more active TDVs in the past used to be), I guess there's not much we can do about that at the moment so we shouldn't worry too much about that. However, I think you've somehow been getting the wrong ideas about some things…

With the low site activity and lack of competition right now, I understand that if it wasn't you trying to break the records, then it will just be someone else that tries to break it in the next TDV. I also understand that anyone that sets a new record should be fully prepared to see their records broken at any time. In case you somehow think I'm worried about having to defend my records or something, I'll relate a certain experience I had during the Spring 2017 TDV that I'm not sure you were around to hear about. I hope you'll take note of it so that you'll be able to rest assured that even though I do enjoy creating new records, I also don't mind seeing people set their sights even higher to break records without cheating.

Since it seems that you weren't around for some of the truly Hardcore/Hard Mode TDVs, I guess I'll have to mention a few things that you probably don't know about that happened during the TDV I won.

If you'd like to, you can go ahead and look at who's currently listed as the Spring 2017 TDV Red Jersey winner in the TDV Hall of Fame and then who supposedly had the most Red Jersey points according to the Month's results that had been posted on the last day of the Spring 2017 TDV. I still find it funny and a bit sad that if someone calculates the total number of Red Jersey wins/points for that TDV, they would conclude that there had to be an error in the TDV lists for them to list me as the Red Jersey winner. There appears to be a discrepancy on the list because although Davideo7 was kind and gave me the Red Jersey at the end, the TDV lists could not be adjusted retroactively to remove/fix the results of someone that cheated. lol

You once mentioned that you didn't see the time when I was a Global so I don't think you know about how I went up against a person that cheated for 18 days or so during the Spring 2017 TDV. I ended up winning that TDV but I really don't think I "had it easier" at that time because I was against a competitor that resorted to cheating (probably because he was desperate to defend his own record) and he eventually had to be banned from the site for what he did (no, there's no doubt at all that he should have been DQed and way before the end).

For anyone that actually wants to take a look, the day on which the person started cheating should be fairly obvious since the amount of CPs and number of actions jumped quite suddenly and that forced the average number of actions to win a jersey up to around 400+ per day until the end of that TDV. If you tally up all of the points I received versus the points that the person received, the final Monthly results would appear to be quite unusual/abnormal.

Since the Red and Green Jersey points that the cheater received couldn't be given back to me retroactively, I decided not to dwell on what happened in that TDV but to my understanding, if I had received all of the 7-pointers that I would otherwise have received, I would have reached well over 500 points days? weeks? before the end of that TDV. I ended up putting aside one of my goals at the time (reach 550+ points) to figure out what was really going on with the cheater. It often amazes me how far people would go just to do something like defend a title or stop people from breaking records, but in his case, it was a pity that he essentially decided to start doing something like breaking the site's rules just to try to stop someone from breaking his record.

Finally, since I remember much higher averages for a lot of the older TDVs, it's hard for me to think of this TDV as being more "difficult." lol I thought about this for several days and tested a few things and now I've concluded that this TDV is actually the much "easier" one because of other factors as well. One can go back and see that the Spring 2017 TDV may have looked like there were fewer people posting but the rules were a lot stricter at the time and a lot of threads were closed, too. People that would have been DQed already in that TDV for things like posting even 1 word over the limit have not been DQed in this one, and people that performed a ton of actions within the same minute (actions such as song ratings, game ratings and review ratings, etc. in the same minute) have also not been DQed either. In the other TDVs, people have been DQed for rating long songs within seconds of each other. Over half of what's been happening in this TDV would not have been allowed to happen in the older TDVs, so on some level, it kind of feels like trying to mention this TDV in the same sentence as any of the previous ones is kind of like trying to compare apples and oranges. No matter how I look at it, this TDV just isn't the same as the previous ones. I don't mind that the rules are not as strict as before but it makes me wonder why some people say this TDV is more difficult when most of the older/stricter rules are not in effect and the word count can be boosted exponentially with all of the copying/pasting that's allowed in the Elimination Threads, ABC threads, Hangman, etc., all of which were not allowed to remain open in the other TDVs.

That said, I am not against modifying the rules for the TDV to be more relaxed since I too have been sincerely hoping that any new changes/tweaks to the TDV will make it so that no one will have to suffer through things like having to go up against cheating competitors or having to go up against competitors that may have unfair advantages over everyone else. Personally, I'm interested in seeing how the future TDVs are going to be "tweaked" even more.
Maybe next time, it'll even be possible to reach 777 points. =P j/k

Anyways, I don't think you should feel embarrassed if you don't reach 500 points (people should only feel embarrassed if they cheated to get there), but the likelihood of you not reaching 500 points is incredibly low with the way this TDV is being run. Therefore, early congratulations on reaching 500! Your real target goals should have been 550+ points though...

Yuna1000 : I do want to add that the first half of this month really was difficult. There were so many days where you'd have 2 or 3 users go all the way up to 130 ish posts to even score a Blue jersey, and up until that point nobody was really dominating the CP jerseys day in and day out like in the past (users like Ferdinand, no 8120, even yourself).

2017 was also a way more post friendly time, even without the forum game threads that are being allowed in this one. 2018 was the lowest point in Vizzed history and going into this TdV everyone would've been burned out from posting like 5 days in and would have to scavenge the depths of the forums to get a few posts in. There are just not enough threads right now for things to really get competitive.

The second half of the month as been all tgags and myself, but that's probably because nobody at that point would've been able to catch us anymore.

Yuna1000 : Just meant that you were bumping me down from my usually 2nd place for red and green to 3rd place by doing a lot of actions.

I wasn't around from 2010 to 2012, where I imagine the TdVs were rather difficult, but I competed in 2013 and 2014, when the TdV was far more difficult than it has ever been since then.

When I said that this TdV was more difficult than the one you won, that was back on the 15th of the month, before the activity started to die. We had numerous days where multiple people broke 100 posts, submitted two or three reviews in a day, posted massive walkthroughs, and so on. When I posted it, this TdV was undoubtedly the hardest TdV since 2014/2015ish. Since that post, the activity has dropped dramatically, and it has basically just been a battle between me and Furret. However, I'd still say it is more difficult than Spring 2017.

Looking at the results from that Tour de Vizzed, I could've picked up 7-pointers in blue pretty much every day. Most days the blue jersey winner didn't even have 15 posts. I also could've won the yellow jersey almost every day. Sure, the red and green were harder because of the cheating, but without his participation, the competition would have been a joke. It would have been like if Furret was missing from this TdV. I could have 7-pointers in at least 2 jerseys every day. So yes, it's annoying that you had to deal with that. Yes, you would have had more points if he didn't cheat. Yes, the competition has gotten easier since I made that post. But to say that a Tour de Vizzed where you could consistently win the blue jersey with 15 posts is more competitive or difficult than this one because you lost some points to a cheater is just not true. Also, it is nearly impossible for me to do more than 300 CP actions in a day because of lower daily limits and lack of staff actions.

We both had things going for us and against us, making it easier or harder for us. There's really no point in talking hypotheticals like this. There are tons of "what ifs" on both sides. "What if you didn't have to deal with a cheater? What if I had higher daily limits and more actions available like you did? What if you had to deal with this competition, and I had to deal with the Spring 2017 competition? What if certain threads were open or closed?" The results would undoubtedly be different depending on those what ifs, but there's no way of knowing how they would be different. I'd also like to add that the addition of 7-pointers completely screwed over all of those that won the TdV before they existed.

I understand what you are saying, but I don't agree with your conclusion. Each Tour de Vizzed competition is very different from the last. Because of that, comparing them isn't always fair. But that doesn't make one record more or less legitimate than the other, because there's no way of knowing how things would have changed if scenarios were different, or if roles were reversed.

I don't mean any offense by this post obviously, so I hope you don't take it that way. I'm also not trying to get into a petty argument about a not-that-important record or anything. Just trying to counter some of the things you said, because I don't necessarily agree with them.
