I've just got SS today got it on pre-order a day before it comes out in the UK. So far i'm heading to Mr. Pokemons house to get the togepi egg. (I started with Cyndaquil )

EDIT: I now have 3 badges and a level 33 Quilava. My pokedex is coming along nicely as well. I have caught Sudowoodo and I also won the bug catching contest with a lv.13 Pinsir.

They have to market it to kids to. If they make the AI really good, then it would be probubly to hard for the target audience. Right now, it's at "Spam super effective attacks, use an item or two, MAYBE POSSIBLY switch", and that's probubly the best it can get.

(I can't spell probubly for the life of me.)

Except for the Battle Frontier, there it's "hope your opponent doesn't defy the laws of Pokemon battling, or physics for that matter". Stupid Battle Tower .

The battle frontier is marketed towards the competitive players. It doesn't really work, considering most competitive players would prefer... well, competing.

The battle tower stacks the deck against you. People have hacked in Ninjask, Electrode, and Aerodactyl, Crobat, or Jolteon with No Guard and Sheer Cold. Want to know what the computors bring in? Sturdy pokemon.

Want to know what else the computers bring in? Pokemon with Critical Hit rates reminiscent of the Venusaur fiasco in R/B. Or Accuracy that seemingly never lowers and nearly always hits. Or Pokemon with abilities like static or cute charm (Oh, how I hate that one ) that work approximately 99% of the time. No joke, those are some of the battles I've encountered.

Well, Shane, we were talking about the AI and Battle Frontier, both of which are in HG/SS. So, it is on topic.

In other news... I haven't been playing much lately, I can't wait for the money to buy a real copy of the game . I'm currently trying to train my Gastly, Quilava, Caterpie, and Pidgey, with a little training of my Sentret on the side.

I'm in California for Spring Break. I got SoulSilver Saturday. I had to borrow a Pokemon from my sister to defeat Bugsy (I started with Chikorita). Other than that, all of the other Gym Leaders are a piece of cake. As of now, I have a Lv. 35 Meganium, Lv. 32 Sudowoodo (borrowed), and a Lv. 20 Krabby that I just keep in my party when I need to surf. I have the first, second, third, forth, and sixth badges. The reason I don't have the fifth badge: I don't have much of a clue what order I'm supposed to do things with this game! I thought Jasmine was the fifth Gym Leader. Well, I guess if I need help with defeating Chuck, I could always borrow a Lv. 70 Flying type from my sister, who already has 1 badge in the Kanto Region.

Stuff Chuck. Go up to Mahogany Town and do the Lake of Rage stuff and then grab a fire type and take out the Mahogany Town Gym. The Mahogany Town Gym pokemon are only in the high 30s so if you can get a fire type from your sister then you can take it out easy.

I think your team is doing great! You should try to evolve those last 4 though. they get like, a lot stronger.

My team is currently under developement, but my average is around lv. 28. I ditto'd an eevee and have two eggs, one of which will be lucky enough to become an umbreon on my team. ALSO: I caught a shiny (Yes, SHINY) beldum in diamond, and I will be transfering it to HG to perminantly be on my team as soon as I get the national dex.

TEAM UNDER DEVELOPMENT; PLEASE BE PATIENT FOR IMAGES.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
