These dragonfly looking enemies are called Tombots. They come out of igloos when you punch them with the ride armor (that, and Flame Mammoth’s weapon are the only way to destroy said igloos). Why dragonfly’s live in igloos now is beyond me, and in fact destroying those igloos are the only way to get them to appear.

Since igloos also only appear in Chill Penguin’s stage, these dragonflies are also only found in Chill Penguin’s stage. The only threat they really have since you’ll probably have the ride armor when facing them is knockback, which could send you into pits.

I remember these little buggers from Mega Man X. Get close to their nest and they will spam you in bunches. It is so easy to get several on the screen. The good news is they can be easily defeated as you stated. I would like to add I think these enemies served as the template for wasp like enemies found in Mega Man X4, Mega Man X6 and Mega Man X8.

I didnt even know there was as many X games as there is until I started posting here. I never had a PS1 so there are like another 5 games I gotta play now. I love the ones for SNES so I suppose I gotta get going on that when I have time.
