Pokemon Trading Card Game- GBC ~Recommended~
Here is my first review using the new review system.
This is reviewing "Pokemon Trading Card Game" for the Game Boy Color.
Graphics (7): Graphics are alright in this game. They're comparable to Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver, which came out at about the same time as this. All of the sprites and maps look errorless, and the card drawings themselves are nicely done.
Sound (9): This feature is excellent in the game. All of the separate areas in the game have their own little tunes, along with the Leader battles. Most all of them are nicely composed, too.
Addictiveness (10): Wow, this game rocks in this category. Like the original Pokemon, your goal in this game is to Catch Em' All (or, I guess, in this game, Collect em' All :P) and to defeat the Leaders and a group similar to the Elite 4. The character you control's dream is to collect the "legendary cards", very rare cards quite similar to the legendary Pokemon feature in the traditional RPGs. Needless to say, if you decide to complete this task, it'll take a long while and most likely you'll be hooked until you get most of your collection complete.
Story (7): Nothing really unique in this, but I guess it's an all right story. It adds a few twists to the regular type plot, keeping things interesting.
Depth (10): Supposing you read the part about addictiveness, you should be getting my point about this game. It takes a lot of time and a lot of dedication to complete, and that's because of the multiple card collectors and cards to collect. Tons of depth in this game, along with most other Pokemon games.
Difficulty (7): It's pretty difficult to defeat all of the leaders. They each have their own type, and they each have their own strategies. If you take on the challenge of collecting all of the cards, the game's difficulty goes up quite a few notches.
Overall/Average: 8
All in all, this is a very good game.

Skate or Die- Bad n' Rad Review ~Recommended~
Skate or Die- Bad n’ Rad
So I turn the game on, and the first thing I come across is a bland screen. I mean, it’s bland even by Game Boy standards. Nice welcome, Konami. -_- Anyways, the only animation on the screen is the flashing “Push Start†thingy. With not much to look at, I start to delve into the game.
Naturally, I press start. I am greeted with an even MORE bland screen, with the only animation being a cursor. I am prompted to choose a stage. I have four choices, of which are beautifully named “Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, and Stage 4â€. I decide to start with stage one.
When I start, I am surprised. I expected a crappy, pixelated, well…bad game. What I got was actually pretty awesome graphics. The skateboarder you play as looks realistic, and the pathway you skateboard on looks real enough too. The only thing I’d change would be the background, of which is basically just a looped image of a beat up city.
I find out the controls quickly, which is good. They’re not that hard; right is to go forward, left is to go backward, A is to jump, and B is to duck. I am also surprised by the really good physics system; it feels real, of which is hard to do with a weaker platform like the GB. This game is actually pretty nice!
As I start going forwards, I notice the obstacles. There is definitely nothing really noteworthy about them… they’re just holes in the ground, what I am guessing are bottles or something coming out of windows, spikes, dogs, and rival skateboarders. All of the obstacles are really easy to pass with the exception of the rival skateboarders; all you have to do is stop, jump or duck to avoid them. The skateboarder is really hard to beat. You need to avoid his knifes thrown by ducking, then jump over him when the chance is available.
There are high scores to beat if you get bored with beating the levels. The only disappoi... Read the rest of this Review
