Linkums's Last Game Comments | King of Kings, The | The Wise Men game is actually a decent platformer once you get used to the somewhat slippery controls. The other two games though... not so good. | Spider-Man 3 - Invasion of the Spider-Slayers | I got to the third level, but... wow. The controls are the worst I've ever played. | Mickey\'s Dangerous Chase | (That's starting from pressing start on the title screen and ending when you touch the present at the end.) | Mickey\'s Dangerous Chase | I currently have the speedrunning world record for this game. As of now, the record is 12:30. |

Mickey's Chase - Speedrun Route Hello and welcome to my guide to speedrunning Mickey's Dangerous Chase! As far as I know, only one other person seriously speedruns this game (Nudua) and we have competed with each other to bring down the time, but there is still room for improvement. As of the writing of this guide, I have the record with 12:30 (starting timing when you press start on the title screen and ending when touching the present after beating Pete, though admittedly the timing should probably start after selecting a character and end after the final text you have to scroll through). If you're new to speedrunning, this game might be a good one to try because it has absolutely no randomness and is fairly slow paced. It may help to watch along with my record breaking run while using this guide to more easily see what I'm referring to. --General Techniques-- Jump grabbing - It's slightly faster to grab and pick up blocks immediately after jumping. If possible, you should jump just before the block you're about to grab and grab it on your way up the jump. Lag reduction - Game Boy can't handle too much, so the less enemies and items you have on screen at once, the better. You can't do too much about this usually, but it can help to kill enemies and grab items quickly on auto-scrolling levels to save time from lag. Note that as far as I can tell, RGR automatically reduces lag which would make any speedruns on it unofficial, but it's possible that other settings may not reduce lag in this way (or I might be wrong). Life bonuses - Each level has four orb cards that will give you a life bonus at the end of the level. In a speedrun, getting this bonus takes forever, so you'll want to make sure to avoid at least one orb in each level so you don't get the bonus. Text - Between levels, ... Itadaki Street 2 - English Translation Guide Hey there! Welcome to the Itadaki Street 2: Neon Sign wa Bara Iro Ni (The Rose-Colored Neon Signs) English translation guide. The Itadaki Street series is super fun and I discovered it thanks to a similar guide for the original Itadaki Street on Famicom. Since this sequel is way better, I really hope that you take the time to learn to play it and have as much fun as I've had with it! Also, be sure to check out the only officially released English game in the series, Fortune Street, which is available on Wii. TABLE OF CONTENTS I. How to Play II. How to play=== Here's a translation of the tutorial: "Now then, I'll begin the explanation of the rules. The goal of Itadaki Street is to strike it rich. First, I'll explain the basics. You start by taking turns rolling the dice and moving the number of spaces shown. You can go whichever way you wish: up, down, left, or right. When the path splits, an arrow will appear so you can choose which way you want to go. If you land on a ? space, you'll be able to pick a chance card. Who knows what exciting event might occur after you flip over a chance card... Read the rest of this Guide |
