Aero Fighters Special (Taiwan) Okay for some reason I can't play this game. Every time I open it it closes automatically.
Rayforce (Ver 2.3A 1994+01+20) Is it me or is the sound a little quiet?
Narc (rev 7.00) THIS is an anti-drug game...I guess. What drugs were these people on?
EspGaluda (V100, first revision) I think I've finally found a game where the bullet cancelling mechanic is done right!
SplatterHouse (World new version) Yes! I finally beat this game!!
Brave Blade (World) The last game in Raizing's shmup years and they went with a bang. Live on in spirit Raizing.
Batsugun SO this is the granddaddy of bullet hell.
DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou (Black Label) Thank god this game is slightly easier than the original DoDonPachi Dai-Iu-Jou thanks to the option of only having to go through one loop and face Hibachi then (by bullet hell standards I mean because the game is still hard).
Battle Garegga (Europe + USA + Japan + Asia) (Sat Feb 3 1996) This is an amazing shooter. Something I keep forgetting to review. But that ranking system makes it a little difficult to review.
DonPachi (US) So this was DoDonPachi's original game. Before the Elemental Doll crap.

Battle Bakraid!
Introduction!
Hey you! Yeah you. You like Battle Garegga? You like sequels? Then luckily the guys at Raizing/Eighting created an even more over the top shooter for the arcades. People say Battle Garegga is one of the greatest shooters of all time. So likely, a sequel to the game would make people very curious. But, does Battle Bakraid hold up to the legacy of the game? Let's find out.

Graphics- 10
This game looks great. The backgrounds looks nice, your planes look good, the bosses are huge and it appears that the problem I had with Battle Garegga in which the bullets mixed with the backgrounds seems to have finally disappeared. So I personally do not see any problems with the backgrounds. The problem I had with Battle Garegga's background and bullet design is gone now.

Sound- 8
The sound is very good in this game. Some might say it's even better than Battle Garegga's sound. Personally, the game's soundtrack isn't as memorable as Battle Garegga's soundtrack of course which is a crying shame to me. The sound track from the previous game was amazing and blended in with the game very well especially with the game's settings. However, in this game it isn't as blending as you think which is a problem. But that doesn't mean the game's soundtrack is bad. NO IT IS NOT. Just, not as blending as the previous game's soundtrack.

Addictiveness- 8
This game is nuts. It has grabbed me and now I can't stop playing the game. This game can be very addictive to the adept shmup fan. But considering others might not be fans, the crazy difficulty (which I will get to) will be quite a turn off for you. Which is a shame because you will be missing out on a very fun game.

Story-
Once again, I have no idea why you are here if you are looking for a story. May I point you to the nearest JRPG game if you are expecting a story? Because if you are walking into a shooter for a story, then I'm sorry to say you might be... Read the rest of this Review

Colony Wars review!

My Review of Colony Wars

OOOOH boy nostalgia time! This was the very first game I've ever played so forgive me if I sound too nostalgic towards this game. Colony Wars was one of my favorite games out there, though has it aged well in my point of view? Let's see.

Graphics: 8

The game is beautiful for a PS1 game. The stars look pretty life like, as if you're looking at it in real life. The design of the player ships and fleet craft is also pretty nice looking. And I also like the designs of the planets within the systems in the game. Making this a very nice looking game. Though my problem is (and I've seen it in a play through years ago), fly too close and you might end up getting stuck in the polygons. And it is pretty awful, which brings this rating down a lot.

Sound: 9

The music is very good and I loved listening to it, although the problem is, the music isn't titled so I can't specifically say which themes I like the most. The voice acting is also pretty well done for this game, which further brings up the rating. If you do like the occasional victory quotes and the lines detailing what you need to do with your missions, then you're probably going to like it. Sometimes it can start to grate on the nerves, mainly depending on what kind of player you are. Then again you can take out the voice acting in case it gets annoying.

Addictiveness: 8

Let's face it, I'd put the rating a lot higher since it is the first game I've played. But I have to take a lot of things into consideration: how others view the game, the possible routes the game has, and most importantly, how the game controls. And to be honest, the controls were a little tough to get used to, especially getting back into the game back in high school which was years after losing my copy from moving to another house.

Nostradamus

Nostradamus (not the guy who predicts stuff, the arcade game) Review!
Intro to the review!
Alright everyone this is my fourth review of video games and this one is an arcade of my childhood (mainly during middle school). Okay, picture back in 2008, I'm in 8th grade and it's almost the end of the school year (May), I'm bored since we have just finished all the major tests so I decide to check out some arcade games. It was then I stumbled upon this game. And I absolutely loved it. Years later I'm now in college, I have this account, and I decided to get this game. And I have to say...I can't believe I used to love this. I still do but I see some flaws that I couldn't see years ago.

Graphics- 9
The game still looks nice from when I remembered it. The ship design is cool, the level design is not as breathtaking as it used to be but I still liked it, and the bosses are still quite huge. Overall, the graphics have grown attacked to the past and I've started to notice it nowadays.

Sound- 8
Out of all the things I also tend to remember is the sound. The sound is still pretty nice and I still enjoy hearing the explosions as I crush my enemies under my foot! The music is also nice, being able to fit the settings of each levels relatively well (at least to me, I don't know about you) And the boss themes does start to get a little grating to my ears as there are only 3 themes (the other one being the final boss theme of course). Other than those problems, I don't see much wrong with the sound quality of the games.

Addictiveness- 9
This is just from my personal perspective but I loved playing this game and I will pop it in from time to time, mainly when I have nothing to do after finishing my assignments. It's still damn good fun every time though. So take it from me when I say this game is still a fun game to try.

Story -
...You're joking right? You want to know if an arcade shooter has a story? Fine! Uh....the story has something to do with Nostradamus' prediction of " a great leader w... Read the rest of this Review
Strikers 1945 (World)

Review of Strikers 1945!
Okay so this review has been coming for a while for me. I just didn't have the time to do it, today I'm going to review Strikers 1945: a game within World War II...with an interesting twist.

Graphics: 10
I got to admit, the game looks very good, and the plane designs are very nice to look at. And the bosses are quite large in size compared to you and your trusty WW2 plane so it seems a bit intimidating. And the designs of the pilots (and one guy depending on what plane you choose but I'm not telling which plane it is!) are pretty nice.

Sound: 8
Unfortunately unlike the other games I've reviewed, not many songs stands out to me except for the final boss theme mainly, which is a damn shame since the soundtrack is alright. Of course being the first game in the series, the soundtrack doesn't sound as good as other games so I suppose I can consider that.

Addictiveness: 8
This is still a fun game when you get past the flaws and nit picking you might see or have. And I suppose you will keep coming back to try to get all the gold medals for a little treat at the end which I will mention in the next part of this little review.

Story: -
I have no idea why you're here if you're looking for a shooter with a decent story. May I direct you to the 3-D R-Type games, Thunder Force 3-6 (5 I might later review), or Einhander if you want a shooter with a story.

Depth: 9
I suppose this is a pretty interesting shmup. However it's no Darius mind you (why am I comparing different franchises?) With 8 stages and two loops it might keep you busy or eat your quarters depending on how good of a player you are. Which you need to be a good player to get a good ending (depending on your definition of good).

Difficulty: 8
This game isn't too hard, but the most determined players will want to try to 1CC the game if they want to get the "best ending" and or if you have the pride enough to go through both loops of the game. ... Read the rest of this Review
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

Worst game EVER!
Review for E.T.
Holy crap this is the biggest thing I've ever seen. This is widely considered to be the WORST game in existence. I thought to myself, "oh please it can't be that bad." I was wrong. It IS that bad. If not worse!

Graphics: 2
I know this is an Atari 2600 and it is a primitive console but even that can pull off some nice looks but this...this is just disgraceful! It almost made my eyes want to vomit blood just by looking at it. And E.T doesn't even look like E.T, even if it's an Atari console!!!

Sound: 1
I wish I could rate this lower, I really wish I can rate this lower, but I can't. This has to be the worst sounding game I've ever played! The theme does not translate well into an Atari console. There isn't even any music other than the sounds of footsteps or falling! The sound can cause ear aches it's that annoying!

Addictiveness: 1
It's addictive all right...addictive to see how many things these people did wrong with this game! I mean, it's amazing how virtually unplayable this game is. I can't even call it a game! Sometimes I think the CIA uses this to torment terrorists! It's that bad.

Story: -
WHAT STORY?!

Depth: 2

I'm not even sure I can even say anything about the depth except, wow there is pretty much nothing to do and I feel like you can die pretty damn easily.

Difficulty: 5

This game is hard alright...hard to control, hard to imagine why would anyone create this monstrosity, hard to believe you are even playing it other than you heard everyone saying that it's the worst game ever and you should play other games that will torture you (in a good way) like a majority of bullet hell games, Contra, Metroid, heck, even SUPERMAN 64 is better than this!

Overall: 2.2

This is easily the worst game I've ever played. I'm not exaggerating either. It's ugly, it's sound is annoying, it's unplayable, it's disgusting to t... Read the rest of this Review

Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi

True final boss: Evaccaneer Doom
For those who've heard of this boss, it's the true final boss of Ketsui Kizuna Jigoku Tachi. Now as for how to get to it is a different story. This was extremely difficult to almost impossible for me to get to. In order to get to Evaccaneer Doom, you need to unlock the Ura Loop (the true loop 2 as I call it). But to get to that, you have to no miss (do not lose a single life), do not use a bomb, and you must get a score of 120 million points (I'm sure that part would make people say "screw that!"). And even then it's not over yet. The Ura Loop has more bullets, blue suicide bullets, and when you get to the true final boss, get ready for the fight of your life. And word of warning, if you use a continue even once during the true final boss, it's game over for you. Making this one of the toughest if not THE TOUGHEST final boss Cave has created. Sadistic bastards.

Edit: After a while of trying, I've finally beaten this thing!
