Fire Emblem: Awakening

THE BEST FE GAME YET!
Let me just say something before we get started; I LOVE FIRE EMBLEM!!! This was my first Fire Emblem game, and is still my favorite, even after the release of Fates and Heroes. This game has so much to offer, so lets go ahead and get into this!

Graphics: For the Nintendo 3DS, the graphics are stunning. They are the most realistic of any Fire Emblem game ever when battling, and during the story segments the anime art-style compliments the game's tone nicely. But the real kicker out of all of this are the fully-animated, 60FPS, CGI, anime-art style cutscenes! They are BEAUTIFUL!!! They add so much more emotion and depth to the story and characters. Just look up the cutscenes on Youtube; you'll be amazed; and it's on the 3DS! These are PS4 quality cutscenes!

Sound: The soundtrack is again, amazing, but this is to be expected from a Fire Emblem game. I like how when you are viewing the battlefield, it has a calmer, slower tune, but as soon as you enter combat, a more up-beat, action-oriented version of the same song picks up right where the other left off. My favorite track has to be "Conquest," which was actually so good it was carried over into the Fire Emblem: Fates sountrack.

Addictiveness: This game is very addictive. When I first played it, I made it to chapter 7 within 4 hours of playtime! There is a lot more to this game than it seems, but I will cover that in the "Depth" section.

Story: In this section I will quickly summarize the plot of the game. Be warned: there are spoilers ahead. The game begins with your avatar and the other main character and prince of Ylisse, Chrom, taking down a mysterious man named Validar. Before you defeat him, Validar uses the last of his power to force you into killing Chrom. Your avatar then awakens in a field with Chrom, and his younger sister, Lissa, standing over you. You realize that you have no memories of how you got there, or anything before Chrom woke you up. You then join Chrom... Read the rest of this Review
Freedom Planet

DIS GAME ROCKS
This game is overall amazing! A great tribute to classic Genesis titles!

Graphics: The graphics of Freedom Planet are what you could expect from an old 16-Bit Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo game, but enhanced with faster animations and more detailed character sprites. This graphical style fits this game very well, as this game originally started out as a Sonic the Hedgehog fan game.

Sound: Freedom Planet's soundtrack is top notch - possibly even better than those of the Mega Man and Sonic franchises. It has a 16-bit flair to it, while also using more modern elements. With mysterious sounding songs such as Relic Maze segment 2 and Aqua Tunnel segment 1, and fast paced ones such as Final Dreadnought Round One and Sky Battalion, Freedom Planet's soundtrack has much to offer.

Addictiveness: The game is easy to pick up, hard to master, and gives off the nostalgic feeling of playing Sonic the Hedgehog. The game would have even more content beyond the three playable characters, had the DLC not been indefinitely postponed.

Story: The games story, while optional, is very in depth. An alien named Lord Brevon crash-lands on the planet Avalice and aims to escape by stealing the Kingdom Stone, an ancient artifact that provides power to the three kingdoms of Avalice. Along with help from a space-detective named Torque, Lilac the Dragon and her friends Carol the Wildcat and Milla the Basset Hound must stop Lord Brevon before it is too late. There are some childish/comedic portions, but also heart-wrenching emotional portions. I DEFINATELY recommend playing with cutscenes turned "on."

Depth: The game has much to offer, with 14 stages and 3 playable characters (Lilac, Carol, and Milla) 4 difficulty levels and tons of achievements/collectables. The DLC would have added Spade and Torque as playable characters, one new stage exclusive to Torque called Horizon Starport, and a story mode for Milla. Torque, Spade, and Horizon Starport... Zelda BOTW: Great Plateau
In this walkthrough I will briefly be detailing the way to get off the Great Plateau, and other helpful hints for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Wii U and Nintendo Switch.

The game begins with a mysterious voice telling the main character, Link, to awaken from his slumber. He awakens in a room that seems to be a fusion of medieval and sci-fi settings. Running to a small pillar ahead of you and examining it prompts another cutscene, where this "mysterious voice" tells you that the item that pops out of the pillar is a Shiekah Slate, and it prompts you to take it. After taking the Slate, the door ahead of you opens, revealing two chests. One contains the worn-out trousers, while the other a worn-out shirt. Go to your inventory by pressing the + button to equip these (You don't have to, and this leads for some funny dialogue later, since Link is basically in his underpants). Examining another glowing pillar forward, it prompts you to hold your Shiekah Slate up to the eye shape that looks like the Lens of Truth from past Zelda games. Doing this opens a door to the outside, and leaving reveals a massive open world that is the major focus of this game. A small cutscene plays, showing an Old Man walking over towards a campfire after looking at you. Now, the game is fully open from here. You don't have to talk to the Old Man unless you want to leave the Great Plateau, which is only a small fraction of the game's map.

From here on, I will detail the most efficient way to play the game. This doesn't mean you can't play it any differently, however. First off, make sure to pick up anything that sparkles. These could be materials for cooking, gemstones, different weapons, or even quest items. Be sure to pick up at least one Tree Branch before speaking to the old man. This will serve as your first weapon for an encounter with an enemy. They break easily, but upon defeating an enemy, it will drop it's weapon, which is much stronger compared to th...
