Summon Night - Swordcraft Story 06-13-15 05:35 AM |
Sword crafting Adventure (Summon Night: Swordcraft Story) Summon Night: Swordcraft Story (Craft Sword Monogatari) Is a Spin off game of a Japanese Exclusive Series of the same name. The game is a RPG, though unlike the game it's named after, it was made in the stylization of the "Tales of" series which is more familiar to us Americans. This game was made by Banpresto in 2003 and the English Translation of the game was produced by Atlus in 2006. How does this game do? Well lets take a look into and find out. GRAPHICS The Graphics for the game, while nothing really to spectacular for something that would of came out for the GBA in 2006 looks very well defined for a 2003 game. Some of the graphical effects are quite nice and take some good use of the GBA's Hardware. There are some occasional graphical hiccups when playing the game, though other than that its a pretty nice looking game, even for today's standards. That's pretty much saying something. For the Graphics, I Give it a 9 SOUND The music in this game I believe sound pretty good and has some quite nice tunes with only a few that I didn't in particular really remember all too well. The Sound Effects are pretty nice, nothing to grating or harsh either. Yet again it's nothing spectacular since this is a Early-Mid GBA title, but it does well in what it is, so what I'll rate this game is a 9 ADDICTIVENESS For a game of this structure, it did such a wonderous job for how much fun I had as a kid back in my younger years. I used to play this game all the time during those days, and when everything was done and completed, I was thriving for more. (Good thing the sequel came out months after, but that's for another time) The game had a lot going for it and I usually would play the game annually and get everything unlocked. (I know it's unhealthy but don't judge me) For that alone, it definitely deserv... Read the rest of this Review |
Bonk's Revenge 03-07-14 08:14 PM |
Bonk's Revenge Review Hello, my name is TheAdventurer and as I can see, this game has been barely reviewed. As a user here, I thought I might want to take my hat off and give my own opinion of this game to see what you guys will get out of it. Without further a do, let's begin trekking our way into this game and see what beholds in it. First off, let me note this game was a Sequel to Bonk's Adventure, making this the second game of it's franchise. This game was made during 1991 during the same year as the Super Nintendo's release and the Debut of Super Mario World which was another platformer. I won't be comparing the two at all. GRAPHICS: 9 The Graphics in this game looked fairly good, especially for the standards of the Turbo-Grafx 16 since the game console can only hold about 512 Colors. I like how well integrated the sprites are and especially how the characters look in general. Also, some of the animation in my opinion looks quite smooth. The colors are also implemented well and it's actually good to look and see the bright and natural colors. This gives a bit of life into the character and it's surroundings and it's nice to see that. SOUND: 8 In this game, the music is quite charming to listen to, and the sound effects are well put into the game. They respectively go well with what they are suppose to go with. It might not be of high quality, but that is only because the game didn't have as big of a Sound Processor. Plus, the technology it was built on back in the late 1980's wasn't superior to what the early 90's had to offer. Overall, it's got some really catchy songs and has got some well made sound effects placed into it. ADDICTIVENESS: 9 This game is such a fun experience to have, I'd recommend if you ever try buying a Turbo-Grafx 16, you should try and buy a copy for yourself. There is a certain charm t...
