Pokemon Ultra Moon

Pokemon Ultra Moon - An Ultra End to the 3DS
Welcome to my review of Pokemon Ultra Moon, the last Pokemon game to be released on the 3DS and the last game to take place in the Alola region (at least until remakes are made in 15 years).  If you follow the Pokemon series at all, you may have heard this game as being a very divisive game in the series. What are my thoughts on it? Well, let's get on with the review and find out.

Graphics - 8
Gen 7 brought some really good graphics to the Pokemon series, the character models look better than ever before, and a lot of things have been changed and polished up when compared with the last generation. However, due to the 3DS’s limitations on graphics, a lot of the graphics here are have really low quality textures, and I mean really low. It would be very nice if the quality was raised up a bit, but I understand that this was needed considering the hardware they were working with. However, the texture quality seems worse than in Gen 6, possibly due to more models being used on the screen in battles than usual. Another thing, the game still lags at times when in double battles, which just gets annoying.

Sound - 10
If you know me, then you have probably heard me gush all over the Alola games soundtrack. It’s so perfect, you have everything in here, and everything happens to be wonderfully created as well. It is my favorite Pokemon soundtrack to date, and I can’t wait to find out what Gen 8 has in store and see if it will top this soundtrack. Absolutely no complaints about this soundtrack here.

Addictiveness/Gameplay - 9
Not much to really put into this category, it’s the usual Pokemon battle formula, just with a few adjustments and new features. Z-Moves return from Sun/Moon, only this time there are even more of them. Instead of Zygarde Cells, we now have Totem Stickers to collect, which can grant you your own usable Totem Pokemon, which is pretty cool. There is actually 1 gym in this game, but it’... Marvel's Spider-Man

Spider-Man: A True Webhead Experience
Spider-Man for the PS4 was released for, well, the PS4, in September of 2018. Hype for this game was through the roof, I remember hearing about it everywhere. I sadly wasn't too invested in the hype, since at the time of its reveal, I didn't have a PS4. Following the game would just get me depressed. It wasn't until November 2018 that I got a PS4 bundle that came with Spider-Man on Black Friday. Now, fair warning, this review may have a little personal bias attatched to it, but the praise this game gets is defintiely deserving of it. You see, Spider-Man was my biggest childhood icon besides Sonic, I saw both Spider-Man 2 and 3 in theaters, and I own every Spider-Man movie in some physical form. Yes, I realize how much of a nerd I am and I am proud of it. With that out of the way, let's jump right into this review.

Graphics - 10
Oh my gosh, these are probably some of the best graphics I have ever seen in a video game. It looks like a live action movie the entire time. There's this really cool thing the game does where it plays a cutscene, and with no loading transition or anything, it returns to gameplay, and the graphics still look just as good as the cutscene. It's like a playable movie, I swear. I have absolutelty no gripes with the graphics in this game, absolutely stunning.

Sound - 10
Every sound in this game has an impact on you. If there's at least one thing this game does very, very well, it's that it makes you feel like you truly are Spider-Man. Usually, with a lot of the impactful sounds, the controller vibrates correspondingly, adding even more to the experience, getting you truly immersed into the game. And the music, oh my the soundrack to this game is wonderful. Beautiful orchestral pieces such as the main theme of the game, really gets you hyped up for what's coming to you. Intense symphonic melodies for the big baddie fights such as Mr. Negative's theme. There is not one single track in this game that I despise and I lo... Read the rest of this Review

Sonic Forces Review - Sans Saves the World
In July of 2016, Sonic Team held an event at Comic-Con, where they revealed both Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces, which went by the name Project Sonic 2017 at the time. The news spread quickly, and many were excited for both games to release. Sonic Mania was scheduled to release Spring of 2017, but was later delayed to August 2017, just 3 months before the release of Sonic Forces. Sonic Mania was VERY well received, some even calling it, "The best Sonic game in 20 years". On the other hand, Sonic Forces did not do as well. Most users on this site might know that I have grew up with the Sonic franchise and that I enjoy a majority of its games, but where would I put this one compared to all the rest, and is it worth a buy? Let's get right into this.

Graphics - 10
Sonic Forces is the first game in the series to use Hedgehog Engine 2, a new engine developed by Sonic Team themselves. The engine took about 2 years to develop. Being the most recent Sonic game with the most recent and advanced engine, it would be only natural that the game would actually look like it was made in 2017. I'm happy to say that this is one of, if not the best looking Sonic game out on the market right now. Most of the gameplay looks just as good as the cutscenes, and there's so much stuff in the background that it even tends to distract me from time to time just because it's so detailed. For example, take the Null Space stage. In the background, you can see all manners of battleships and aircrafts in a struggle against the enemy. Essentially, it's a huge battle going on right beside you as you are running your way to the goal. It all looks beautiful and I hope to see detail like this in the next entry in the franchise.

Sound - 7
Here is where the review is going to start to get divisive. You see, Sonic Forces is a very strange game, you either really hate it or you really love it. Some people just don't know what their opinion of the game is in the first place... Read the rest of this Review
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Review: SCARY
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was released to theaters all across the country a long time ago. Due to its success, a lot of merchandise was created, including a video game. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was released on the Game Boy Advance in 2004. I don’t think many people played this game, but I did when I was a kid, and I loved it, even though it was really hard. What do I think of this game nowadays?

Graphics - 4
It may just be me, I don’t know, but am I the only one that thinks the graphics in this game look disgusting? If you haven’t seen this game, go look at some screenshots, and tell me what you think. These have got to be some of the worst graphics I have seen on the Game Boy Advance, and it sickens me to look at these graphics. And when I say everything looks disgusting, I mean everything, even the icons for crying out loud!

Sound - 7
I only remember about 1 or 2 tracks from this game. Still, those two tracks aren’t anything that I’d call amazing, but they still sound pretty cool for the Game Boy Advance. I remember despising a lot of songs from this game just because of how annoying they were. Heck, I think there was even a track that just had a single note playing for 5 seconds and then went up a bit, then repeats itself. That’s not a song, that’s an annoyance. The rest of the songs are mediocre, and they work for whatever situation you’re in most of the time.

Addictiveness - 6
I’ll admit, even with all of the negative things I’ve said about this game so far, I still had a little fun with it for the first few hours of gameplay. After that, the game gradually gets more boring as time goes on. I got so far into the game, that it got so boring, that walking down a simple hallway in the game was more fun. I’m not kidding. If you decide to play this game, I promise you that you won’t be playing it for very long.

Mario Super Sluggers

Mario Super Sluggers Review: BASEBALL YEEEE
Mario Super Sluggers is yet another title in the Mario sports series of games. It was originally released as Mario Superstar Baseball for the Gamceube. Mario Super Sluggers was released for the Wii in 2008, while the original was released in 2005. Opinions on Mario sports games vary from person to person, as far as I can see. Is this sports game worth checking out, or is it just a crappy remake that adds nothing new and turns out to be a complete waste of your time? Let’s find out.

Graphics - 8
The graphics in Mario Super Sluggers seem to be a huge step up from the original. I haven’t really played the original at all, but from what I can tell, the graphics seem to be better to an extent, since this is on a console from a generation ahead of the original. There are a few instances when I think they could have tried a bit harder to make the game look better, but those instances happen to be very few throughout the game.

Sound - 6
The sound in Mario Super Sluggers is ok at best. I can think of a ton of sounds that just annoy the crap out of me for no reason other than they sound annoying. At the same time, the sound the bat makes when you get a really good hit is extremely satisfying, as it should be with games like this. The music in this game is mediocre, if I’m going to be honest. It seems bland at times, and while there are good tracks in the game, I cannot seem to remember any of them.

Addictiveness - 8
To my surprise, I actually enjoy playing this game. I think the reason that a lot of Mario sports games have even made it this far and have still managed to stay alive up to this point tells us something. People find them entertaining, otherwise making these games would be a huge waste of money. I find this game to be most enjoyable when played with a friend. I remember back when I was allowed at dad’s house that I was always looking forward to playing this game with my step-brother. He always ended up... Read the rest of this Review
Kirby Super Star Ultra

Kirby Super Star Ultra Review: ULTRA EDITION
Ahhh, Kirby Super Star Ultra. I know of a lot of people that regard this game as their favorite in the series, if not, then one of their favorites in the series. Kirby Super Star Ultra is a remake of an older title for the Super Nintendo titled Kirby Super Star. It features many different types of games with varying gameplay modes. Kirby Super Star Ultra was released for the DS in 2009. Does it live up to its name? Is it really ultra?

Graphics - 9
The graphics in Kirby Super Star Ultra are a huge step up from the original, and it shouldn't be that big of a surprise since the original was released around a decade and a half before the remake. Everything is so much clearer, even the backgrounds are. In fact, I would go as far as to compare this game with Return to Dreamland, which has even better graphics since it's on a console instead of a handheld, and I would love the graphics in both games equally, even though they are very different from each other.

Sound - 10
Many people know Kirby games for having awesome soundtracks, and I know many people who also think the Kirby soundtrack is always cutesy and sounds like it's for babies. Well, for those of you who think the soundtrack is for babies, let me introduce to the track titled "Revenge of Meta Knight". Still not convinced, how about GALACTA KNIGHT'S THEME. Oh yeah, that's heavy metal. Is it for babies still? I didn't think so. Kirby Super Star Ultra features some of the most iconic tracks throughout the Kirby franchise, and a lot of those songs still find their way into the newer games today.

Addictiveness - 10
Think about it. Many different modes of gameplay, along with sub-games that just so happen to be really fun? Sign me up. But wait, there's more! You can play with a friend, and the friend can be the helper, which is basically an enemy but on Kirby's team. TAKE MY MONEY. You can play 2 player mode in almost every single mode of gameplay, and I just love it. Playing Kirb... Read the rest of this Review
Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location

Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location Review - PEEKABOO!
Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location was released to the public on October 7, 2016 on Steam. It is the fifth installment in the FNAF franchise and many people who hated the series before admit that it's a step in the right direction for the franchise. What do I think of it? Is it really better than the rest of the games currently out now? Let's find out, shall we?

Graphics - 9
The graphics in Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location happen to be some of the best graphics in the series. Everything is much cleaner and smoother than they were in the previous installment, and it looks like some hard work really went into making the faceplates to each animatronic. The faceplates each individually move in a way that is hard for me to express in words, but whenever they do move, they creep me out, just like they are trying to do.

Sound - 10
Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location contains my favorite song in the franchise, and it's called Demolition Inevitable. Like most of the games in the series, listening is crucial to beating the game. There are various tasks you must do during each night, and heavy listening is required to be able to get through some of these tasks.

Addictiveness - 8
I'm going to be honest, the main gameplay isn't THAT addicting to me. It's fun at first, but once you finish the game and unlocked 3 stars on the title screen, the main game gets kind of boring. Luckily, Scott fixed that by adding Custom Night mode on December 3, 2016 as free DLC. It adds a lot more gameplay and it's a pretty fun experience in general, and I'm glad he decided to add to the game.

Story - 10
The Five Nights at Freddy's series is most famous for its intricate plot and deep lore and the secrets within. Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location is no exception to this, as it contains some of the best new lore in the series, as well as answers many questions about the franchise that we previously had. Of course, with new l... Read the rest of this Review
Mario & Luigi: Bowser\'s Inside Story

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Review - OM NOM NOM
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story was released in 2009 for the Nintendo DS, and is the 3rd game in the Mario & Luigi series of games. It takes place after Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, as it should. Many people regard this game as the best game in the Mario & Luigi series. Are they right? Should you play this? This review will hopefully answer both of those questions along with any other questions you may have.

Graphics - 9
The graphics in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story are magnificent. This is the most beautiful looking game in the series, in my opinion, and it's not even the newest installment. The scenery of every single area just looks fantastic, and so do the sprites most of the time. The only con to the graphics that I can remember there being is that it sometimes looks a little bit too pixelated, more than it should be for DS standards. However, this is very rare to notice and most of the time the graphics are simply fantastic.

Sound - 10
This series is known for having some pretty amazing tracks and sound effects, and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is no exception. This game includes the very well known final boss music titled In The Final, and rightfully so. It is an amazing track, and so is almost every other track contained within this game. The sound effects are very enjoyable to listen to, just like with the other entries in the series.

Addictiveness - 9
Mario & Luigi games are always fun to play, and this game just happens to be the most fun of the bunch, in my opinion. Even when I have basically 100 percented the game, I still find myself coming back to it to just mess around with whatever I find, and I never get tired of it. The battle system is fun, both with Bowser and Mario & Luigi. The fact that you get to play as Bowser in the first place is what makes this game the most fun, in my opinion.

Story - 10
Now, I haven't played much of Dream Team or Pa... Read the rest of this Review

Sonic Generations Review - 2 SONICS!?
Sonic Generations is Sonic's 20th aniverssary game. It was released on November 3, 2011 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and 3DS. It was met with critical claim upon release, and is regarded by many as one of the best Sonic games in the series. What do I think of it? Are the critics right? Is this a game that you should buy? If you're looking for answers to any of these questions, this review is for you.

Graphics - 10
The graphics in Sonic Generations are, to put it simply, amazing. Every single model and texture in this game is clean to the max. Even when you're playing as Modern Sonic and you're boosting, you can still see your surroundings quite easily. I am not exaggerating when I say every single thing in this game is smooth and clean, and just simply looking at the graphics drives me crazy in a way that I cannot accurately put into words.

Sound - 10
The music in this game is absolutely perfect. Not only are there a few new tracks in this game, but most of the soundtrack is remixes or remakes of older songs in the series, and they are all amazing. Each song fits the theme of the level perfectly, like always. The sound effects are always entertaining to hear, such as enemy sounds and drifting. Everything in this game is just pure joy to your ears.

Addictiveness - 10
This game is around 5 years old, and I still find myself playing it. The combination of Classic and Modern styled gameplay was such a great idea and it never fails to entertain me. I think Sonic Generations gives me more of that "adrenaline rush" kind of feeling whenever you boost more than any other game in the series, and I absolutely love it to death. It's always fun, no matter what.

Story - 8
Sure, the story in this game isn't as heavy as the Adventure series. Heck, it isn't even as heavy as the story in Colors. But, the story works for what it is, and that's what really counts. The premise of Sonic Generations was fun, exciting gameplay, and it delivered... Read the rest of this Review
Madagascar

Madagascar Review - WHY THIS THO
Madagascar is considered a classic movie to may millenials, including myself. It's actually one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm not surprised that somebody decided to make a game out of it. Sadly, games based on movie usually turn out to be trash. I remember playing this game when I was little and I loved it, but that was like 9 years ago. What do I think of this game today?

Graphics - 8
The graphics in this game are surprisingly ahead of their time. Well, to me at least. They look really clean for the most part considering this is on the PS2. I will say that there are times when they look like they were from the original Playstation instead of the PS2, but it usually looks great. I'm specifically talking about the character models. The other models, not so much. The other models are ok at best.

Sound - 6
My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I remember no tracks from this game. None of them are memorable at all. Some of the sounds can be really entertaining to listen to, but there are also sounds that are just annoying every time the sound is made. It's pretty much half and half with this category, it really depends on what sound it is that you're hearing.

Addictiveness - 5
This game can be sort of addicting on the first run, but this game also takes like an hour and a half to beat. All of the levels basically feel like extended minigames, and there's only around 8 of them. In all of the levels, almost the same thing happens every time, and it gets repetitive real fast. If you have already beaten this game once, I don't recommend a second playthrough.

Story - 7
The story is basically the same as it is in the movie. Marty the zebra wants to go to the wild, so he escapes the zoo. His friends go after him and they eventually get themselves deported to another location. An accident occurs on the boat, and they drift in the ocean, eventually reaching Madagascar. They try their best to get back home. There are some sligh... Read the rest of this Review

Sonic Lost World Review - I'M SO LOST
Sonic Lost World defenitely is an odd addition to the franchise. It was released in October 2013 for the 3DS and Wii U. Since it was released after Sonic Generations, one of the most well received Sonic games in a while, people were expecting it to be even better. Did this game meet their expectations?

Graphics - 9
This is the first handheld Sonic game to have a full 3D point of view, and it's amazing. The graphics on this game look clean for the most part, considering that it's on the 3DS. It's obviously a huge step up from DS standards. You can almost always clearly see what's in front of you, but there are those times when you can't see anything at all due to awkward camera angles. This almost never happens, though, and I can only recall one instance in when this did happen.

Sound - 9
It's a Sonic game. The music is usually going to be amazing no matter what. I think Sonic Lost World has my least favorite soundtrack in the franchise, but it's still pretty good despite that. One of my least favorite tracks is probably the normal Deadly Six theme. I find the trumpets and horns annoying, but thankfully you only hear that once in a while. Every time Sonic jumps I get this funny feeling, and I love it. The only way I think I can describe the noise his jump makes is that it sounds so bouncy.

Addictiveness - 8
I'm going to be honest here. After I beat the main game, I tried my best to get as far as I could in the extra stuff, but I just couldn't. They were so hard and unfair, I hated it so much. I eventually sold the game and I no longer have it, which I admit was a mistake on my part because the main part of the game was actually pretty fun. But whenever there's a part that just seems downright unfair and unforgiving, you're going to rage more than you ever have before.

Story - 7
Sonic Lost World features one of my least favorite stories in the franchise. Not my least favorite, but it's close to that. Basically, Eggma... Read the rest of this Review
Super Mario 3D World

Super Mario 3D World Review: MEOW
Due to the success of Super Mario 3D Land on the 3DS, Nintendo wanted to make another title in the "3D" series of games. This title is called Super Mario 3D World and it was released for the Wii U on November 21, 2013. Was it any good? Let's find out.

Graphics: 10
Being on the first fully HD console, Super Mario 3D World's graphics are phenomenal. Heck, I even adore the backgrounds, and I don't pay attention to backgrounds a lot. My favorite background in the game has to be that one with the nice sunset. It looks AMAZING. All the models in this game are clean to the max. Every single one of them. This game looks amazing.

Sound: 9
The music in this game is also very good. Each song fits whatever settings you're in and what scenario is taking place. I find Super Mario 3D World to have a broader soundtrack than Super Mario 3D Land, and I like this one more than the original. The original mostly had these weird trumpet sounding things that I hated. I don't hear them in this game, which is good. There's not really a lot more I can say with this category.

Addictiveness: 9
Super Mario 3D World is the most addicting Mario game I have ever played. No matter how many lives I lose, I keep coming back to try and beat the level I'm stuck on. Seriously, I lost 50 lives in one level before. This game can get really hard. It's also more fun with multiple players. This is the first 3D Mario game in the series where you can play with multiple people at once, and it does it pretty well. It's a lot of fun! I also enjoy looking around for the collectibles, but we'll get more into that in the Depth section of this review.

Story: 4
This is, by far, my least favorite story in any Mario game to ever exist. I despise it so much. Mario games aren't known for having intricate stories, and this game is no different. However, they introduced new characters in this game, Sprixies. The story is that Bowser kidnapped the Sprixies and you need to s... Read the rest of this Review

Super Mario Maker Review: BUPER BARIO BAKER
Super Mario Bros. was released around 31 years ago. To celebrate the game that saved the gaming industry's 30th aniverssary, Nintendo released Super Mario Maker, where players can create their own levels with limitless possibility. The game was released on September 11, 2015

for the Wii U. How good really is this game?

Graphics - 9
The

graphics in this game are obviously used from the older Mario games. There aren't really any new graphics other than the Mystery Mushroom

costumes. The costumes always do a great job of showing off which

character is which. If you press up on the control pad, some of the

characters will have this unique sound they make along with a pose. If

you press down on the control pad, the characters make a different pose,

but with no sound. The fact that there are so many different character

costumes in the first place makes me want to get them all!

Sound - 9
Again,

like the graphics, the sounds in this game are from the older Mario

games. The only new sounds you'll find are de-mixes for the older games.

For example, there is no airship theme in the original Super Mario

Bros., so they made a Super Mario Bros. airship theme. It's actually

really good when they do stuff like that, too. But by far, my favorite

thing related to sounds in this game is when you're making a level. Each

time you place any tile down, a noise in the background will play and

say something depending on what tile you put down. Its voice matches

with the song, and it's really really cool.

Addictiveness - 10
There

is so much to do in this game, and each time you do something it's

almost different every time, making for a very fun experience. I play

this game a lot because of how entertaining it is to both play a bunch

Freedom Planet Review: MERICA!?
Freedom Planet's gameplay might remind you of both Sonic and Mega Man. Freedom Planet was inspired by the original Sonic games. It was released on Steam on July 21, 2014, and was released for Wii U on October 1, 2015. Many critics praised this game and it is known as a must-buy for many people. how good really is this game?

Graphics - 9
Freedom Planet uses graphics reminiscent of the 16-bit era. Each pixel comes together to form many different objects/characters, and they all look absolutely amazing. There's not really much else that can be said about this category besides a small problem I see very rarely. Sometimes some of the enemies look so odd that part of them merges in with the background it seems like. This is a very minor thing that rarely happens and it's hardly noticeable in the first place, so I'll excuse it.

Sound - 10
This game has the best soundtrack I have heard in any game. I'm being serious. I don't exactly know WHY this is, but it is. Just look up any song that plays in the game, and you'll eventually find a song that you'll end up listening to for 30+ minutes. I think my favorite song in the soundtrack is the song that plays when you fight Prince Dail. The music perfectly matches with the scene/character every single time, and I absolutely love it to death.

Addictiveness - 10
Surprisingly, this is one of the few games I come back to no matter how pissed I am at it. Whenever I get really angry at a game, I usually don't touch it for a while. I come back to Freedom Planet in like an hour or two. It's that good. I remember dying at the last level a total of 12 times. I didn't stop, though. I kept going. I actually felt the need to kick this guy's butt.

Story - 10
Before we get through this section, I feel the need to state something. If I summarize the whole story right here, it will be the equivalent of a whole page. So I'm only going to summarize the basics. Lilac (the main character) and Carol (... Read the rest of this Review

Sonic Heroes was developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It was released on the Gamecube, Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 2, making it the first game in the series to release on multiple platforms. It was first released in the PAL regions on December 5, 2003. The rest of the world didn't get it until around New Year's. I know a lot of people that regard Sonic Heroes as their favorite entry in the series, but I also know a lot of people who hate Sonic Heroes. In this review you're obviously going to find my stance on the game.

Graphics - 9

Like with a lot of Sonic games, they tend to have awesome graphics for the time of their release, and this game is no exception. The opening cutscenes look like they were made by Pixar and I absolutely love them. It's a shame those types of cutscenes didn't always happen. Sometimes you'd get the weird looking cutscenes that have the characters looking like they're spazzing out. The graphics during gameplay are also very clean, specifically the character models. There are times when a texture seems iffy, but most of the time I don't seem to recognize it.

Sound - 9

The Sonic series is famous for it's amazing soundtrack and Sonic Heroes has one of my favorite soundtracks in the series. You got well known songs such as Seaside Hill, Frog Forest, Egg Fleet, and one of my favorite songs of all time, What I'm Made Of. I love every single piece of music in this game and I remember going to the sound test and just sitting there and listening to the music. The reason this section is not a 10 is because of how annoying the sound effects can get. I'm mostly talking about the fact that every action you do has the character saying something, most of the time I don't even know what they're saying. I hear a lot of complaints about how they never stop talking, but that doesn't bother me too much. In fact, I'm glad they talk a lot. I dunno, it makes the experience better for me.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 Review - COINS!!!
So, I just recently finished New Super Mario Bros. 2. Just yesterday, in fact. I can't really tell if I really like the game or if I hate it just a little bit. It was released for the 3DS on July 28, 2012. Like I said, I have mixed feelings on this game and I don't quite know where to put them. Hopefully this review of the game will help me figure out where this game stands on my list.

Graphics - 8

The graphics in New Super Mario Bros. 2 are very clean. However, there are some instances where I do find Mario or some of his surroundings to look a little blurry. That rarely happens, though. I think my favorite instance of the graphics showing off is the final boss fight. I'm not going to spoil anything too much, but we all already know who the final boss is right? I find his model to be very clean, and there was never an instance of blurriness in my playthrough. I can easily see each individual appendage moving like it's an actual creature, and I love it.

Sound - 7

Seven? Seven!? Just hear me out. The music in this game is good, don't get me wrong. However, there's just this one HUGE issue I have with it that probably only bothers me because I'm weird. In every single track I hear, there's always this distinct, annoying xylophone noise that goes with the beat. This wouldn't be such a big problem if it wasn't more distinct than every single other instrument in the track. I hear it everytime and it drives me absolutely crazy. Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about noises. The sound that plays when you stomp on something is as satisfying as ever. I particularly like Bowser's roars in this game. I have no idea why, but they actually scare me a little bit. Something i don't really see in a Mario game.

Addictiveness - 9

It's Mario. You're going to play this game again eventually. There's a lot of replay value in Mario games. Once you beat the game, you unlock the Star World. And if you were like me and didn't b... Read the rest of this Review

Pokemon Sun Review - RAWR XD
21 years ago, in 1996, Japan was introduced to Pokemon Red and Green. In 1998, the rest of the world was introduced to Pokemon through Pokemon Red and Blue. In 1999, Pokemon Yellow was released as the "third version" in Gen 1. In 2000, Pokemon Gold and Silver were released, kicking off Gen 2. In 2001, Pokemon Crystal was released, and was meant to be the last game in the franchise. However, fans wanted more. And companies wanted more money. So, Gen 3 begun with Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire in 2003. The first remakes were released, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen in 2004. The "third version" to Gen 3, Pokemon Emerald, was released in 2005. The franchise turned 10 years old in 2006, and released Pokemon Diamond and Pearl in 2007. The third version to Gen 4 released in 2009. The 2nd Gen remakes, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, were released in 2010. Pokemon Black and White begun Gen 5 and was released in 2011. Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 were released a year after that in 2012. Then, the series finally made a jump to 3D with the release of Pokemon X and Y in 2013. The long awaited 3rd Gen remakes, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, were released in 2014. Everyone wondered what was next. Pokemon Z? Pokemon X2 and Y2? To our surprise, it was Pokemon Sun and Moon, the games that begin Gen 7. These games were the "20th aniverssary games" to the main series, and they were released on November 21, 2016. Many regard these games as the best in the series? What about me? Let's dive in.

Graphics - 10

Being the current generation of the series, it's only natural that it would have the best graphics out of all of the games, right? However, they are much better than what I expected. Pokemon Sun and Moon constantly have a 3D point of view, unlike Pokemon X and Y where it only had a 3D point of view in certain areas. The only time Sun and Moon does not have a 3D point of view is when it's unecessary and would just make it harder to traverse. However, I rarely ever ... Read the rest of this Review

Shadow the Hedgehog Review - ow the edge
Welcome to another very special Lexatom review. Today we will be reviewing Shadow the Hedgehog. Sonic Team wanted to appeal to a wider market, and since guns were appearing in a lot of popular games, they decided to put guns and edgy stuff in this game. However, Sonic is too "good" to use this stuff. So they came up with the brilliant idea to use Shadow instead. It was perfect! Shadow the Hedgehog released on November 15, 2005 for the Gamecube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. Many people were triggered by the fact that there was cursing and all this other edgy stuff in this game. To those people, I say this: You are dumb. (Just kidding please don't sue love you). Enough with the random chit-chat. Let's dive into the review, why don't we?

Graphics - 9

The graphics in this game are awesome! In each and every level and location, you can clearly make out what the developers were trying to go for. The character models look great in-game, but in some of the cutscenes they look kind of gross looking. I can deal with it for the most part. I think my favorite part about the graphics is how they made the bullets look. I dunno, I'm weird. They don't look like real bullets to me, which is perfect for the Sonic universe.

Sound - 10

I think my love for Hard Rock/Metal music stemmed from this game. You see, this was the second Sonic game I ever played in my life. When I heard some of the music, I was instantly in love with it. I started listening to similar songs that I found on my dad's iPod, heh. The main theme of the game is "I Am (All of Me)" which is absolutely fantastic. I love almost the entirety of this soundtrack. Each song fits in well with the current location you are in, and to me, goes far beyond that. It fits much more than it SHOULD, and I absolutely love it. The sound effects in this game are also wonderful, specifically the sound of shooting. I'm not trying to sound edgy, I'm being serious. I also like the voice acting in this game, es... Pokemon Channel
07-04-16 10:34 PM
This is not a video game...
Pokemon Channel...is a game...released for the Nintendo Gamecube on December 1, 2003. And in my opinion, this is the worst Pokemon game of all time. There are few things good about it, in my opinion, as you can tell from the scores I've given it up top. But those few good things are almost ignored because there are a lot more negative things about this "game." Notice how I put quotations around the word 'game'. I did that because this is not really what I or anyone else would call a game. Why is that? Let's find out.

Graphics - 9/10
This is the highest score this game gets. The graphics are actually really good and I like the Pokemon 3D models that they used in this game. They look very clear, more clear than Pokemon Colosseum or XD in my opinion. You can also go to different areas and explore or talk to each of the Pokemon there, although sometimes the background can look a bit...uh..dumb? And the 'Nice Cards' you get have Pokemon on them, kind of like real life Pokemon Cards. Except the poses they decided to use for these Nice Cards are very, very ugly.

Sound - 7/10
I mean, it's a Pokemon game about watching TV. You're not going to expect it to have "game music". And you're right, it has music you would usually find on the TV. I guess it kind of fits, but why does this whole idea of watching TV with Pikachu exist anyway? The music that plays when you're not watching TV but still inside your house is my least favorite track in the game, but I don't like pretty much any of the tracks in this game.

Addictiveness - 3/10
HA. Sorry. I laughed just typing the word addictiveness because, once you get all the shows you can watch on the TV, there's not really any more fun factor to the game, not like it was that fun to begin with. The only reason it's not as fun once you get all the shows on the TV is because the tv shows are the main point of the game. You watch TV. You may want to watch them again, but they get real... Mega Man ZX

Mega Man ZX yes pls
Mega Man ZX was released for the Nintendo DS in September 12, 2006. Mega Man ZX is the start of a brand new series in the franchise, that is quite possibly my favorite series in the franchise. I said possibly for a reason, though. I'm not entirely sure if it's my favorite series in the Mega Man franchise or not, so hopefully by the end of this review I finally figure that out.

Graphics - 8
The game's graphics come in a wide variety. Sometimes I see the graphics sort of choppy, but most of the time I can see them completely fine, although a little too much pixelated. I also sometimes have trouble figuring out where I can and cannot stand on platforms, although this is very rare. Other than that, there's really not that much else to say about the graphics, besides the beautiful backgrounds the game gives you.

Sound - 10
Mega Man ZX features my favorite soundtrack in the entire series by far. I adore almost every single song in this game. And to add on to that, they released another soundtrack titled "Mega Man ZX Tunes" that has a remix of every single song in the game. Absolutely amazing. I highly recommend that you listen to the soundtrack this game offers and tell me what you think of it. Now that I think about it, I think Mega Man ZX might just be my favorite soundtrack. You've already heard me boast about the music enough, go listen to it yourself.

Addictiveness - 7
This game, honestly, I can't tell whether it's addictive or not. I don't know if it's just me forgetting to play it or if I just don't feel like playing it. I always have trouble with the addictiveness section, and I'm not entirely sure why, I have found myself coming back to this game a lot, but I also have found myself staying away from it for a while.

Mario Kart 7

Mario Kart 777777777
Mario Kart 7 was released for the Nintendo 3DS on December 4, 2011. Right around the time the 3DS itself was released. The last Mario Kart game to come out was Mario Kart Wii for the...do I really need to say what system it's for? Many people regarded this Mario Kart as the best in the series until Mario Kart 8 was released. Sadly, I have never played Mario Kart 8, so Mario Kart 7 is still my favorite in the series. Why? Read and find out, it's a review after all.

Graphics - 10/10
The graphics in this game are honestly some of the best graphics I've seen on the 3DS. Other than the detailed tracks and background, you can drive in first person mode and use the built in gyroscope to drive, kind of like Mario Kart Wii with the Wii Remote. I don't really use it that much, but it is fun to feel like you're in the driver's seat sometimes. The 3D affect didn't really do that much for me, but that can be excused. With the addition of driving underwater and soaring through the sky, graphics in those sections of the game get a huge upgrade as well.

Sound - 9/10
I mean, it's a Mario Kart game. It's not really known for it's music, but it still gets the job done. Mario Kart 7 adds new music for the new tracks in the game, but it also brings back tracks from past games, which means there are plenty of awesome remixes included. The actual sounds of the game are just as good as the past Mario Kart games, if not better. I don't know, there's just something about the sounds in this Mario Kart title that I like more than the other ones.

Addictiveness - 8/10
If you're like me, you may have played a lot already. I mean, it's Mario Kart. It's going to be addicting. If you're also like me, you know that this game can really tick you off. Like, a lot. And because it ticks me off, I sometimes tend to stay away from the game for a certain amount of time before I come back to it. I actually do this with a lot of games, but Mario Kart especially.&nb... Read the rest of this Review
Kirby: Planet Robobot
07-01-16 12:23 AM
Kirby in a Robot? SOLD!!
Kirby Planet Robobot was released on June 10, 2016 in North America for the Nintendo 3DS. It
has similar gameplay and artwork style to the last canon Kirby game that was released, Kirby
Triple Deluxe. Planet Robobot may be similar to the last game, but with every Kirby game comes
a new mechanic. For example, in Return to Dreamland, you had the super abilities. In Triple
Deluxe, you had Hypernova. And now, in Planet Robobot, you have a mechanical suit of armor
that can also use copy abilities. Yes please. You've heard me praise this game before, so let's delve further into the reasons I love this game so much, and why I regard it as the best Kirby game in the series so far.

Graphics - 10/10
Triple Deluxe introduced the concept of switching between the background and foreground with
the 3D Warp Star. Planet Robobot brings this mechanic back, and it's just as cool as ever.
The graphics without the 3D look amazing, but with the 3D on, they're even better. Although,
I tend to not use 3D on my first playthrough, it helps me see better. Oh, I almst forgot to talk about one of the new sub-games, Kirby 3D Rumble. Before I talk more about this, a short story must be addressed. Long ago, sometime around the year 2003 I think, HAL wanted to bring Kirby into a full 3D world. However, they had trouble with this. They made many prototypes, and one such prototype was almost exactly like the sub-game, Kirby 3D Rumble. Kirby can now finally move in any direction with the circle pad. Perhaps we could see a potential full 3D Kirby game one day?

Sound - 10/10
The music in Planet Robobot is as good, if not better, than the music in Triple Deluxe. Since
Planet Robobot has a big theme about industrialization and mechanics, there are plenty of tracks in the game that support it perfectly. In addition to new songs, they remixed many other songs from past Kirby games. One of my favorite remixes comes from Kirby's Dr... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Fire Red
05-20-16 09:40 AM
I Thought Fire Was Orange
Yes, I know this game is overdone, but it's the 20th aniverssary of the series, give me a break.

Pokemon FireRed is one of the most well known Pokemon games out there, and for good reason. It was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, approximately 6 years after the US release of Pokemon Red and Blue for the Game Boy. Pokemon FireRed is not just a complete copy/paste of Pokemon Red/Blue/Green. Instead, it is a complete remake that upgrades everything in the game, from graphics to mechanics. In this review, you will see why this game, along with Pokemon LeafGreen, is regarded as one of the best in the series. Let's get started.

Graphics - 9

The graphics are heavily updated compared to the originals. And when I say heavily, I mean it. No longer does Golbat look like this:

Instead, Golbat now looks like this:

Much better and less terrifying, in my opinion.

Sound - 9

One of my favorite things about Pokemon remakes is the updated soundtrack they get. The rhythm of each song that was in the originals is the same, but the soundfont they are used in gets upgraded. In the originals, you heard 8-bit tunes due to the limits of the Game Boy. But now that these games are on a more advanced system, you now hear the music with multiple instruments instead of just listening to 8-bit melodies the whole time.

Addictiveness - 9

Like with most of the other games in the series, these games can get highly addicting, due to the amount of things to do in them. There's not much I can really say about this subject, other than that you may or may not end up playing these games for hours on end.

Story - 7

I'm going to be honest here. The story doesn't really do much for me. It's not because it's almost the same exact story that was in the originals,... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Diamond

Pokemon Diamond = 9 Years!!!!
Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl were released for the Nintendo DS system in the year 2007. They both also started Generation 4 of the Pokemon franchise. Generation 4 is my favorite Generation of all-time. Why, you ask? Let's find out in the review.

Graphics - 9/10

The graphics in this game are amazing, especially for an early Nintendo DS game. You can barely see any pixels at all anymore, and my favorite thing is the overworld. It looks like 3D models but sprites put together and I love it. It's like Pokemon X and Pokemon Y in 2007. There's not really much else I can say about this category other than the things I have already said. They're amazing.

Sound - 9/10

The music in this game is very enjoyable as well. Generation 4 contains some of my favorite Pokemon music, such as Giratina Battle Theme, Champion Battle Theme, Hearthome City, and many more! Each Pokemon continues to use a cry that distinguishes them from other Pokemon, making them unique in their own way. The overworld sounds remain the same as far as I know.

Addictiveness - 10/10

Since this IS a Pokemon game, you will be playing for a long while and enjoying every second of it. The only problem I have with playing for a while is the speed of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. Everything felt really slow and awkward, but luckily, Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon Heartgold, and Pokemon Soulsilver resolved this issue. And to make this better, starting with this Generation, the internal battery no longer runs out quickly! So now you can play as long as you want! Yesss!!!

Story - 10/10

The story in Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl are amazing, to sum it up. A huge upgrade from past Generations, in my opinion. A new villainous team, naming themselves Team Galactic, are trying to create a new world. Their leader Cyrus promises them that this world will benefit them all, but in reality, Cyrus just wants the world for himself. Team Galactic search... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Ruby

Pokemon Ruby - 13 years old!?
Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire were released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, and they both started the 3rd Generation of the Pokemon franchise. The 3rd Generation is regarded by many to be the best one to date, and although that may not be my opinion, it is still a great generation. How well does it hold up to other generations? Let's go into the review and find out.

Graphics - 9/10

The graphics got yet another improvement since this is a new generation. Since Generation 3 is on the Game Boy Advance, the graphics are much more clear to see and are less pixelated than the past 2 Generations. Each Pokemon has gotten a cool new sprite, some even updated, such as Haunter. The overworld sprites are awesome, too. Like I said, everything becomes much clearer and easier to see than they were in the past two Generations. There's not really much else I can say about the graphics, other than they're great.

Sound - 8/10

The music in this game is great too. There's just one problem I have with it. What's with the excessive use of the trumpets? It may just be the Game Boy Advance's technology at the time, but it still kind of bothers me. At least the music in this game is fun to listen to. I honestly wish they used some other instruments, if at all possible. The remakes Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire did use a lot of trumpets as well, but they also introduced some other instruments mixed in with that. So it may just be the available technology at the time.

Addictiveness - 10/10

This is a Pokemon game. We all know that with each Pokemon game that comes out new things are added to make you want to keep playing. Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire have added 135 new Pokemon, making the total Pokemon count go from 251 to 386. Sadly, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are incompatible with the two previous Generations, which means you have to start all over. Pokemon Firered and Leafgreen make up for this, though, so I guess it's alright. Sec... Read the rest of this Review

Kirby Triple Deluxe: All Sun Stone Locations
I was all over this game when it first released, but I always had trouble 100%ing it. Here is where you can find all the Sun Stones in the game.

Fine Field - Stage 1
Sun Stone #1 - After obtaining the Hypernova Seed and sucking up the first big tree, you will receive your first Sun Stone.

Sun Stone #2 - Once you reach the block puzzle, use your Hypernova ability to suck and drag the second block to the left side of the screen. Jump on top of it, and start sucking to get the other block off of the ledge. Once it hits the ground, it will crack open, letting your second Sun Stone free.

Fine Field - Stage 2
Sun Stone #1 - Once you reach what seems to be an end to a pathway, jump over the shotzo, and do not grab the star. Instead, destroy the cracked wall to the right of the star. The first Sun Stone will be in this hidden room.

Sun Stone #2 - Eventually, you will reach a cannon section. Press the button at the right time to be shot into the second Sun Stone.

Sun Stone #3 - There will be a secret door near the end of the level, enter it, and destroy the bomb blocks inside of the room. Go into the water bowl, and start pouring water on the sprouting flower. The flower will grow, revealing a key to a door above you. Open the door to get the third Sun Stone.

Fine Field - Stage 3
Sun Stone #1 - You will reach a section where you can get inside of a thing that shoots rockets into the background. Shoot these rockets at the stone blocks, but be careful you only get 3 rockets. Once all of the blocks have been destroyed, you will get your first Sun Stone.

Sun Stone #2 - You will find another special door. Drop below and go inside it. Inside, there will be a cannon. Hop inside the cannon and tilt the 3DS to align the rope so that the cannon and fuse connect. Light the fuse, then hurry to the cannon, and it will shoot you up into your second Sun Stone.

Sun Stone #3 - You will eventually ... Read the rest of this Guide

He tries auto-correcting your name, and the result is Eggs Benedict.

Difficulty Level - You can't die.
Once you start a new game, you will be introduced to a newspaper that tells of the opening of Fazbear's Fright, a horror attraction based on the pizzeria that once existed 20 years ago. Once the newspaper disappears, you will begin Night 1. Once it begins, you will get a phone call/message from your boss, dubbed "Phone Dude" by fans. Listen to these messages carefully, since they will teach you some mechanics of the game and also give out some lore hints. Below is a summary of the transcript of the phone call for Night 1. Only the parts of the phone call that explain gameplay mechanics will be below.

"Uh-when the place opens, people will come in at the opposite end of the building, and work their way towards you, then past you and out the exit. Uh-You'll be starring as... The security guard! So not only will you be monitoring the people on the cameras as they pass through, y'know, to make sure no one steals anything or makes out in the corner, but you'll also be a part of the show. You can check the security cameras over to your right with a click of that blue button. Uh, you can toggle between the hall cams and the vent cams... Uh, then over to your far left, uh, you can flip up your maintenance panel. Y'know, use this to reboot any systems that may go offline. Uh, the most important thing you want to watch for is the ventilation. Look, this place will give you the spooks, man, and if you let that ventilation go offline, then you'll start seeing some crazy stuff, man. Keep that air flowin'."

If you take a look at the layout of the building, you will see the entrance at the top-right and the exit near the bottom-left. This is a guide that I thought would be very helpful to have somewhere on the site. I saw that there wasn't one like this so I decided to make one. This guide will showcase all the areas in Pokemon Red/Blue and the Pokemon you can find in that area, as well as how to catch those Pokemon. Pokemon exclusive to Red will be highlighted Red and Pokemon exclusive to Blue will be highlighted Blue. Pokemon that are catchable in both versions will not be highlighted. Also, Pokemon Yellow encounters will not be included, there will be a separate guide for that.
