The Adventures of Batman and Robin Review by: TreasurePlanet23
Introduction
Today, I am going to review The Adventures of Batman and Robin for the Sega Genesis. Oh man, this game was a blast to play! For those of you who don't know, Batman is the protector, or Dark Knight if you will, of Gotham city. It seems like Gotham always has some sort of mutant or maniac that is trying to take over the city. In this case, the main villain that is trying to make the city eternally freezing, we have, Mr. Freeze, at least I think it is. Don't worry, the Joker makes a cameo in this game. As well as, Two Face, and the Mad Hatter. This game ranges from a sidescrolling "Run n' Gun", to a horizontal shooter. Both modes go beyond what most Genesis games tried to do. So, without further ado, let's dive right into this review!

Graphics
Oh man, these graphics are awesome! They really push the hardware for the Genesis to the limit. I really liked the horizontal shooter level's graphics where you atop the city of Gotham in the Bat plane, mowing down some baddies in the air. For example, when you move your ship towards either the top of the screen or the bottom, the buildings scroll with you, as if you were actually in the plane. The graphics throughout the levels just seem to get better and better. The backgrounds are very nicely done, and Batman and Robin both have their appropriate colors on. The developers really seem to have excelled in this area. So, for the fantastic graphics that this game has produced, I will give this game's graphics a solid 10/10!

 Sound
The tracks for this game are fantastic. I can tell they really put a lot of dedication into this part of the game. I really enjoy the boss music at the end of each stage. Some of the levels have the same songs, which is ok, but I would much rather have different songs for each stage. Each song has that Genesis tone to it, which is great! It can't match Super Nintendo because it has that charm that it can't imitate. So, to rap up this segment with a rat... Read the rest of this Review
Kirby's Adventure

Kirby's Adventure Review by: TreasurePlanet23
Introduction: Kirby's Adventure is a side-scrolling platform game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Kirby, a pink piece of bubblegum, will be the protagonist in this game. He uses his atomic super inhale breath to inhale enemies and steal their powers. He sets out to find the seven pieces of the Dream Rod, and retrieve them back from King Dedede and his six minions, and return them back to their rightful place, in the Fountain of Dreams. Kirby will have to travel to 7 different worlds, defeating all the levels within the worlds, as well as King Dedede's six minions. Now, without further ado, let's jump right into the review!

Graphics: The graphics in this game are very bland and unappealing. Depending on which world, you will have a certain texture dealing with the name of the world. Some levels just have a scrambled mess of pixels repeated throughout the entire stage. After a while, it really wares out on your eyes. Kirby is very distinct in color in comparison to the other enemies as well as the background. Most of the enemies are a similar color. The game doesn't really give you much of a variety of color, so that's a downer. The creators of this game got real lazy with the graphics in this game, so for that, I will rate the graphics an average 5/10, and that is being very generous.

Sound: There really isn't much in the way of music in this game. Each world has their own tunes for the levels, and it really gets annoying after a while. Sometimes I just wanted to bash my head into the wall because the levels were so long and I had to listen to the same song repeated. The boss music is really dull and lifeless. Boss music should get you pumped and want to defeat the boss. Take Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project for example, that had some great music in it, as well as the boss stages. So, for mediocre music, annoying repeated songs, and a lack of interest for the music, I will rate the music a 4/10.

Pokemon Fire Red

Pokemon Red Review by: TreasurePlanet23
Introduction: Pokémon Fire Red is an update to the previous installment in the Pokémon series on the Gameboy. This time, the game has great advancements, new additions, and of course, new Pokémon!! Mostly everything for this game is greatly updated and satisfies the needs of any hardcore Pokémon fan that didn't get what they wanted back when Red and Blue came out. Instead of, I don"t know, "Aqua Blue", instead we have Pokémon Leaf Green, it's sister game, if you will. Pokémon Green came out in Japan, while here in the United States, we all received, Pokémon Blue. Anyways, let's jump right into the review!

Graphics: The graphics in this game are great. The Pokémon sprites are a huge improvement over the last generation. Well, at least I hope they would. The over-world in this game is very animated and each person has their own distinct outfit. Well, except for Team Rocket of course. Every time you enter a battle, say you were in the forest, it almost seems like you are actually sifting through the grass to encounter whatever Pokémon you have encountered. I really enjoyed looking at this game for hours on end. My only gripe with the graphics is that the battle backgrounds are a little dull. Like I said earlier, if you are in the grass, the background will be a dull green. To me, that is pretty lazy programming. At least have something that sticks out in the background. But, they have fixed that in the later generations. Also, they should have added some animations to the Pokémon as well. So, for those minor complaints, I gave the graphics a solid 8/10.

Sound: Oh man. The sound in this game is great. Every town has a great little tune for you to listen to, every cave, building, everywhere! My favorite theme for this game has to be the final battle with your rival. That song really gets you pumped while you are smashing your thumbs on the buttons in excitement. They definitely didn't get ... Read the rest of this Review
Super Mario Bros 3

Super Mario Bros. 3
Introduction What's not to like about Mario? Mario is the main character for Nintendo. He rolls in all the dough for the company. There have been plenty of games with him in it. His main villain is Bowser. A giant turtle, or at least that is what I think he is, with spikes mostly everywhere on his body continuously kidnaps the princess. Her name is Peach by the way. I don't know how she seems to get herself kidnapped every single game. But she does a good job doing it. Today, we are going to be looking at one of the greatest NES classics, Super Mario Bros. 3. This game is considered to be one of the best games on the Nintendo Entertainment System, and for good reasons too. We will jump right into these reasons right now!

Graphics: The graphics on this game is what you would expect on an above average Nintendo game. They really didn't emphasize the graphics department on this game too much. But don't get me wrong, the graphics are quite good. They are bright and colorful. Especially the background really gets your attention, but don't let that distract you. from the actual gameplay. I really enjoy what they did with the graphics on this game, so for that, I rate the graphics a 9/10.

Sound: Oh man. The sound on this game will get your head bopping throughout the entire game. All songs should be on your IPod immediately. The songs in this game are very catchy, and they suit that mood very well. Like say if your are on an open level, the game music is very vibrant. But if you are on a boss stage, the music is dark and mysterious. Nevertheless, the game has much to offer in terms of music variety. I really enjoy every song in this entire game. I really enjoy the underground music from the original Super Mario Bros. So for this, I will give the sound a whopping 10/10.

Addictiveness: This game is very addictive. It will keep your drawn in until you are either satisfied with your progress, or your beat the game. I believe it took me about 5 hours ... Read the rest of this Review
