Street Fighter 2 - Special Championship Edition This game was good on the genesis, but Regards it could've been done so much better. Someone actually did a hack of this game.. and fine tuned the colors much better imo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZOrpJP7DUw
Mike Tyson\'s Punch Out!! I saw teen's react to this and the Teenagers who played this game couldn't get pass glass joe.. #Embarassing
Final Fight 3 Ah I Remember the long play Videos I did. This game was such a pain on the hard difficulty.
Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney 3 (English beta 0.03) If there's still a glitch don't expect them to fix it, I looked this game up. And Due to the official NDS release of Trials and Tribulations they cancelled this project.
Madou Monogatari I Wait NVM.. Actually it was Puyo puyo first, then this became a sub franchise. my bad :P
Madou Monogatari I Wow I had no idea, but if you play this and then Puyo Puyo, this was the game that orignated alot of stuff that's in the puyo puyo franchise.
Super Mario 74 I actually know of a place where you can make your Own SM64 hacks, and change the level designs and textures XD.
Mortal Kombat II Unlimited - Enhanced Colors This is how MK2 on genesis should've looked in the first place.(Rages fist at Probe Software TM)
Sonic 3D Blast Much better than the genesis version imo :)
Mario Golf Sorry, but some information on this game is false. Daisy, Piranhah plant, and Shy Guy are not in this game. I unlocked every character and imported the Gameboy Color ones. Just an FYI

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate

Mortal Kombat 11 review
It is 2023, and we've had about 3 months of NRS's newest installment in Mortal Kombat 1 so I'd figure it'd be time to take a look back at it's predecessor in Mortal Kombat 11.

For clarification, I picked this game up on PlayStation, Switch, and Series X and have been playing this game since aftermath in 2020 until the Mortal Kombat 1 beta dropped in September 2023 so I've got a ton of things to say on this entry.

Graphics: 10/10. This game was causing a lot of discourse about whether or not it looked better than Mortal Kombat 1 and while I do disagree with that assessment, I still think Mk11 looks great no matter the platform your playing on. Each character has personality in their attacks, their weapon choices, and especially their facial textures. Johnny cage and Kung Lao look confident and arrogant. Liu Kang and Raiden look intense and focused. Shao Khan and Kotal Khan are big body bosses that are intimidating.

They also have a handful of guest characters that look amazing like the Joker, John Rambo, and The Terminator that look amazing.

Stages also look pretty great as well with my favourite being the tournament arena. It has live demos of arcade machines representing all the older Mortal Kombat games up to that point which is really cool, it's a nice thing to see while your fighting.

Sound: 6/10. I'll cut straight to the chase, I don't really remember any of Mortal Kombat 11s toons except for the menu theme that pops up as soon as you turn on the game.

The voice acting is great and some of the fight intros are pretty well done.

Addictiveness: 6/10. Even before Mortal Kombat 1 came out, it was starting to become a pain to find matches in ranked. Particularly as you get your rank into Demi God-Elder God, you'll find less players at those ranks than you did at apprentice-chamoion. It's also worth noting that if your offline for more than three days, this game will take points away from ... Read the rest of this Review
Paperboy

Extra! Extra! Amazing Paperboy gets criticized!
Many people consider"Paperboy" to be a true NES classic with difficult challenge, but great and addicting gameplay.  And there's others that completely hate the game and make it look like it's the end of the world*Hello Avgn*.

Paper-boy was made and released in 1984 by Atari Games.  The Game was so successful in the arcades,  it got multiple home ports,  some sequels to it, and according to Wikipedia this game was still referenced in some recent movies like Wreck it-Ralph.

Graphics: 7/10
Yes, the graphics on screen of Paperboy are pretty basic; but, it gets the job done. It's what you'd expect from a game about someone delivering papers; you have your houses, your traps, and you even have the annoying dog.  I think this game does a great job capturing the whole open world environment and it actually doesn't do too bad at simulating what a paperboy might encounter in real life.
This game also does a good job on agreeing with the plot.  This paperboy is so famous for his amazing skill and the game proves it as he has crowds of people cheering him onto finish the bonus course.

Sound: 6/10
The main course of Paperboy is the music in this version, it's nice and peaceful; it goes along with the setting of the town in this game.  From what I know at least, there's two songs that play: one song plays in the delivering part of the game, the other song plays through the bonus course. There's just one problem with the sound that doesn't quite keep it in line with the graphics; while the music is nice and peaceful, half of the time you won't be hearing it all that often due to hearing the crashing sound effect that happens when you encounter a trap.

Addictiveness: 8/10
This game is a port of an arcade game, so the objective is fairly simple: get the highest score possible while staying alive.

Street Fighter II Turbo (beta)

An interesting look at the beta of the Genesis port of SF2
Your familiar with Street fighter 2 Special Champion edition for the Sega Genesis right? Well did you know thanks to the awkward world of the Internet, we now have access to the beta of Street Fighter 2 for the Sega Genesis? Yep that's correct.
So in this review, I'm gonna be comparing the beta vs the final version, and giving my overall verdict on this game and whether you should look into it or not.

Graphics: 8/10
This games graphics showcases what the Genesis port of Street Fighter 2 could've really looked like, provided if Capcom did the extra work.  The final version has grainy, more red and dumbed down looking characters; however, the final also had more frames of animation, endings, and other details that weren't included in the beta. The beta though has much better looking eye candy, call me crazy, but I prefer sharper and crisper colors on Characters and Backgrounds over extra frames of animation.

I have to say out of all the Street Fighter 2 games available on the Sega Genesis, this one has the best looking graphics of them all.

Sound: 7/10
The Music and Voices are much better in the beta as well.   In the final version of Street Fighter 2, the voice overs for each character got strained out and sounded really scratchy, almost as if someone was yelling before they recorded the voices for this version of the game.   The voices and sound effects sound very similar to the sound effects that were used on the TurboGrafx16 version of Street fighter 2, so it sounds pretty good.
Unfortunately, the sound effects aren't perfect and some are missing like the announcer who says"You win".

The Music while not perfect, it's certainly the closest to the arcade version of Street Fighter 2; to further drive that point home,  This is the only version of the original Street Fighter 2 that had the Heavy Damage Music(The music that would play when you were about to be KO'd)  But again, ... Ugh, where do I start.
Before I get into this review, I wanna note something. The only reason I'm doing this review is because other members on vizzed did a review on this game as well, but for whatever reason some of them actually gave this game a lot of good critiques.
Now I'm not one to bash people's opinions on their liking, but a lot of the reviews on vizzed about this game aren't accurate. I'm here today to explain the actual good and bad of this gem, so with that said onto the review.

This game's visuals would've been replicated and probably done better by a young child using paint.
Yes, literally; the game's graphics aren't unique, the developers at HappySoft were lazy and just decided to copy paste a bunch of random images together, with some random sprites and called it a day. There's no charm to this game, they even copy pasted a Coca-Cola background and decided to use it as a level. The images look bad, like they had to reduce the amount of color just to fit the images on screen and it makes them look pixelated and awful.

The Graphics receives a 2 out of 10.

Music:
Now Normally, I'd have a sound section but this game is all about replaying the same repetitive music.
According to Wikipedia, this games music is an endless loop from "I love Beijing Tinanamen" and needless to say, this gets quite annoying; it's enough to make you put the game on mute.
For a game that's supposed to be about Bruce Lee's relative,  couldn't the programmers at HappySoft just use some proper Kung-Fu or other epic music?
The Music receives a 1 out of 10.

Addictiveness:3/10
If you play through the game and try to pretend the bad aspects aren't there, it's not bad game play wise.
The game is a basic 2D shooter at most, and it seems like it could've had potential as a High-Score game with it's never ending amount of enemies.

This is my main complaint with the gameplay:  Whenever you ge... Read the rest of this Review
Final Fantasy II

Final Fantasy 2: A good game, but a bad entry for those new to the franchise.
Overall: 6/10:   Final Fantasy 2 is a very unique take on the franchise, and It's a game I'd say you should look into if your interested.

If your new to the series,  I'd avoid this entirely as it really lacks some of the finer elements that made Final Fantasy so good.   Something like Final Fantasy 7 or 6 would be better if your newer to the series.

Final Fantasy 2 came out for the Japanese Family Computer in 1988,   and got an English translation the English translation got ported over to the Nintendo Entertainment System,  The Gameboy Advance got a port of this game which is called Final Fantasy 1 & 2 Dawn of Souls,  and lastly it got ported over to the PlayStation Portable.
Today I'm looking at the NES version of this game, both the good and the bad.

The Good:
Graphics: 7 out of 10.
The Graphics are a little bit better then Final Fantasy 1, there's more detail to the cities, a bigger map overall, more creatures, and overall more characters then the previous 4 from Final Fantasy 1.  What made Final Fantasy 1 so good is retained here,  each character takes turns battling with unique animations for each weapon you obtain.

The Game play is actually very unique. It still takes the Turn Based Combat Formula that the Original Final Fantasy 1 had, but instead of Gaining EXP and Gaining Higher Levels; Your Character would grow stronger based on what Abilities You use: So for example if you use a lot of Magic, your Magic Points(MP) Will go up,  and if you use a certain weapon like a Sword or Axe, that character accuracy with that weapon will raise as well.

The Bad:
Replay Value: 5/10.
The Replay Value of the game suffers though because the game is very short,  there's a few dungeons and mostly repetitive fights.   Now I don't mind a repetitive amount of fights,  but it's meaningless here as there's no EXP system like I've stated b... Read the rest of this Review
Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers
07-31-16 10:03 PM
A super review for a super game
Overall: 7.8/10    Super Street fighter 2 is one of the better fighting games on the Sega Genesis,  It offers more content and more challenge versus the previous Street fighter 2 CE, but if you already own Street fighter 2 CE this is just a good alternative game.

Graphics:6/10  Super Street fighter 2 is a mere update to Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Editon for the Sega Genesis, so with that being said this game looks remarkably similar.   All of the characters are there and look great, but  the fighters look pale in comparison to the SNES version of this game.    Each of the character also have new animations, new backgrounds for the various countries out there, and everyone has a different colored outfit;  Depending on which button you press determines which colored outfit the character will be wearing.
The Graphics aren't too bad overall if you compare this game to other fighting games like Mortal Kombat 3 on the system, they both look good but grainy.

Sound: 5/10 Super Street Fighter 2 is rubbish in the sound department.   The voices sound scratchy but surprisingly Capcom was able to fit all of the original voice samples on to the cartridge,  unfortunately all of the samples had be reduced on quality in order to make room on the game.  All speech is present and sounds good.
Unfortunately, the music is the worst aspect of this game. The Audio pitch and quality is lower then Street fighter 2 Special Champion Edition.   The music for both the SNES and Sega Genesis had to be arranged from the original CPS2 tracks meaning they don't sound entirely faithful to the arcade music.  The worst part is that the SNES has the same soundtrack as the Sega Genesis version of Super Street fighter 2,  but the Super Nintendo version sounds louder and much better.

Super Smash Bros.

Here goes, the super smash bros!
Super Smash Brothers for the Nintendo 64 is a fondly remembered title, and is known for launching one of the greatest fighting franchises to ever come around.     For a while the game wasn't actually intended to be smash brothers and a completely different project all together, the combat was mostly the same but the Nintendo based characters were nowhere in the beta of this game. Needless to say, I think everyone had their fair share of Frustration with Nintendo's brand of characters and this was a great solution to solve it.
There has since been multiple smash brother titles available, so that raises the question how does the original still stand today?

Graphics: 10/10
This is another great game that showed off the Nintendo 64's 3D graphic capabilities.    All of the sprites for the characters were in the very early stage of 3D; thus meaning they have a bit of a polygon vibe to them.   There are multiple stages,  each of the stages at the time had to be layered in a 2D background rendered over 3D Sprites as every other 3d game at this time had to do as well.   The graphics look very cartoonist, very wacky animations were everywhere in each fight,  each KO was ridiculously awesome(Especially if you knock your opponent into the sky)The game had a general kid playing with dolls kinda theme(This is resembled more thanks to Master Hand) The level and character designs stand very true to each character's franchise to which he/she depending the character comes from. The most common example would be the Pokémon Pikachu and the Pokémon level featuring a few cameo non-playable Pokémon NPCS in the background, you could see some of the cities that were in the Pokémon games. This gives the game the signature iconic look and really helps it's appeal when compared to other Nintendo 64 titles.

WWE Wrestlemania XIX

WWE wrestlemania 19 the video game review
WWE WrestleMania XIX was released for the Nintendo Gamecube by THQ in 2003,  this game was the follow up to Wrestlemania 8 on the Gamecube.

I've done a lot of wrestling game reviews so how well does this one hold up? Let's find out.

Graphics: 6/10
Remarkably, this game looks like a Cross between Smackdown Here Comes The Pain, and the Original WWE SmackDown.VS Raw for PlayStation 2.    The characters aren't realistic looking because this was a earlier wrestling game, so I'll say the graphics are a bit cartoonist, the animations are a little out of wack,  but that's not to say this is a bad looking title:  The best thing about it is the face textures that were given to the wrestlers, as they have very remarkable detail.   For Example: If you look at someone like Shawn Michaels or Edge their facial appearances are very close to their Real-life counterparts from back then.

Sound: 5/10

The Sound it's self wasn't really great for the Gamecube Wrestling games, there's no commentary, no grunts, it's just mostly Wrestling action and a mixture of Superstar music and in-game wrestling match music.

Nothing remarkable in the sound section here.

Addictiveness: 10/10
Remarkably this is one of the Funner Wrestling games because you have a lot of the Features that weren't present in the WWE SmackDown VS Raw games.      You can beat up the Referee Earl Hebner as much as you want(or do what I do and Use Brock Lesnar to F-5 him)
Fair warning the Referee will fight back or DQ' you.   This game has a ton of fun in it to keep you entertained, it's best enjoyed with two people as the Computer personally isn't challenging.

Story: N/A
There's really no Story in this game as it's based literally on WrestleMania 19 from back then.

Smash TV

Smash TV Nes review
Smash TV was released by midway in 1990 in the arcades and Home consoles. It was a multiplayer shooter with a Dual Stick type for controls.
I played this game during the February 2013 RGR Highscore competition, that's mainly how I found out about this game and the others like Total Carnage.
I previously reviewed the Super Nintendo and the Arcade versions of Smash TV,  so I'd figure I'd look back at the Nes version one last time in this review.

Graphics:5/10
Due to Smash TV being a game with ton of sprites on screen and the NES not having huge color capabilities,  Smash tv suffers from bad looking visuals.
The levels have been significantly reduced in terms of color.   Each of the stages only have a few colors on screen,  mostly consisting of Orange,  Red, Blue and sometimes Green.
The Sprites have also been reduced. They don't look like the contestants you'd normally see, the only way  I'm able to recognize them is thanks to their differentiated colors with 1 player being blue and the enemies being green.

Sound: 5/10
The sound is probably the worst part of the game.  The game loops the same track as level 1 for each of the levels. After spending a few minutes in each of the levels, the music just stops completely. This isn't good at all,  and shows that the Nes wasn't ready for this type of game.
For the most part you'll be hearing the sound effects,  and some of the arcade speech samples like"Good luck, you'll need it!" it's okay, but it's nothing memoriable.

Addictiveness: 4/10
Unlike the other ports,  I hate the Nes version of Smash TV.  Once you lose all of your lives,  that's it.
Just a few slip ups and everything you worked up to that point is gone.  I just don't like these type of games.

Torchlight
05-12-16 07:19 AM
Welcome to the Darkness Realm that is Torchlight

Torchlight was released by Runic games in 2009 and was one of the most memorable Hack and Slash titles on the PC.  After weeks of doing dungeons and other various quest in Torchlight,  I'm here to review my opinion.

I tried to play the game as soon as it was installed,  but I ran into some issues trying to get Torchlight to run on Windows 10  the game kept  saying the "UI resource files are missing" but thankfully that was fixed and I had a really good experience.

Graphics: 9/10
What's nice about the graphics in this game is that they are adjustable,  I'm running this game on a not so hot PC and that really helps with the Frames Per Second.

The graphics   look great for this 7 year old game, regardless of  what setting you have them on.  If I can describe the visuals, I'd say it's like a Diablo clone in that regard, you have the Torchlight town,  a dark cavern,  and a ton of ruin themed dungeons. Overall the game does a really good job just bringing in the dark atmosphere.

The 3D rendering on everything is good, but it also looks outdated for a 2009 game.  This game came out on the PC when the Xbox 360 and PS3 were still relevant platforms and the game it's self has a Polygon/Cartoonist type of render to it, for me this interferes with the dark theme of the game that is given to you.

Sound: 7/10

Like I've said about the graphics theme of the game, the music also feels heavily inspired by Diablo.   The main town theme reminds me a lot about Tristram,  likewise there are a lot of tracks that are dark themed and sound really good.

The sound effects are what you'd expect from this 2009 game.   You have all of your grunts when enemies die,  your character making attacking noises,  it has sound effects for when you complete a quest, it's very complete.

Art Alive

Quicke Reviews #1 Art Alive for the Sega Genesis

Graphics:N/A

Art Alive as the title would imply is about you creating, painting, and doing other sorts of creative activities.   Yes I can talk about minor stuff like the title screen and Interface, but for the most part it's pretty much irrelevant to talk about visuals for this game.

Sound:  The Sound is pretty limited for the most part, you only have one main song playing in the background through out the title screen, it's pretty repetitive and annoying. Another problem lies with the music is that the main song will not play until you start creating,  so that means if you stop drawing the music turns off and when you start drawing the music turns on.
The sound effects aren't great either when you're using a paint tool it sounds off,  for example if you use a spray can it sounds like a TV having static noises.

Conclusion and rating:  5/10   It's irritating to the point were I'd probably just play the game on mute.

Addictiveness: 3/10

Now I know this sounds bogus, but the reason I rated the Addictiveness low is because I don't draw too often meaning I don't play this game to really get any replay value out of it.

Just for clarification purposes this isn't a flaw within the game it's just my preference; If you like panting or creating stuff a lot you'll probably really enjoy this game.

Story: N/A
Art Alive has no plot to it.

Depth: 9/10

The game has pretty much about everything you'd reasonably expect from it,   various Paint tools, a blank canvas for you to create stuff on, an animation mode, a sticker mode,  all the colors you need, and last it has a curve tool which makes this game accessible for those who want to easily create something cool.

The Depth does have one flaw and that's the fact you cannot save anything you created.

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2006
02-01-16 07:00 PM
He's broken, Smacked-Down IN half!

Graphics:
Now I'm not sure what happened to THQ and 2K games during the later wrestling games, because the graphics in games like WWE 12' WWE 13', and WWE 2K14 all have inconsistent presentation.
Smackdown vs Raw 2006 and the later on Smackdown vs Raw 2007 have great looking visuals and the models are actually in line and look realistic.

You can see the effort put in the models especially if you compare this game's Booker T to WWE 12's Booker T model.

Now one thing to note about this game, is that it was converted from the PS2. So various things like the textures for the models, arenas, and announcer tables, they have either been downgraded or removed entirely for this games conversion on the PSP.

There is some parts of the graphics that just don't look right. It's mainly the fans appearance, they look like they didn't have hardly any time put into them, they don't look like people, they look more like cheap paper cut outs more than anything else.

So overall Graphics gets a 8 out of 10.

Sound:
Unfortunately like I said earlier some stuff has gotten scrapped. The commentary team's speech samples have been completely cut out, and replaced with the in-game soundtrack to make up for it.

The only time you'll hear the announcers is during Career/Story mode cut scenes. The Soundtrack it's self has some pretty good music, mainly a mixture of rock type music, and bit of rap.

The downside is that it'll be repetitive in that sense, nothing else will play nor can you add your own music to justify this.

Luckily you can mute the music in the game options, and just deal with the crowd cheering/booing.

Sound gets a 5 out of 10.

Addictiveness:

It's a Wrestling game, what's not to like about them? These games are literally meant for high tale button mashing, with some reversal requirement here and there.

Literally anyone can pick u... Read the rest of this Review
Double Switch

Rip corey haim, and my review of double switch.

Graphics: 5/10

There's too many cons for the graphics compartment for this rating to be undesired.

Cons:
1) They implemented and reused a lot of cut scenes from act 1 to 3.  This makes the game repetitive already in that sense, and if it wasn't bad enough; you can't even watch the cut scenes because you got to be constantly trapping the bad guys, so every second you waste, another enemy escapes.

2) The color quality is a bit poor.   I think the game could've had some color improvements with the Sega CD, but instead we are left with somewhat of a grainy looking game. The grainy color palette is noticeable as soon as you start the game,  and it makes the graphics of the game look a bit faded and washed out.

Sound: 9/10
The sound quality is very good.
You can hear how clear the voices are, and it's also a big plus that you have actual good actors in this game unlike Night Trap.

However some parts during the cut scenes are pretty laughable and distracting, for instance you'll hear the band with Jeff in it saying"I'm crying at the moon". No I'm not making this up, the lead singer actually says that.

The soundtrack is also really good as well; it sounds like something you'd hear in a creepy pasta.
I just wish the game would actually have some variety because like the cut scenes, this game reuses a number of songs during throughout the games acts.

Addictiveness: 6/10
This game basically requires you to be addicted and replay it to beat it.
The game play is really what just frustrates me enough to play it: You gotta trap the random-looking guys,  you gotta make sure you get the code numbers,  you have to let some guys escape due to another main character being in trouble, and that's not even counting how many people will try to cut off the power box during the game. It's just a pain and makes the game a chore to play.

LEGO Batman: The Videogame

Great Single/Mutil-player game!
Graphics:10/10 Not only this game is good looking, but it can also be helpful through out.

-You have cutscenes within the game, explaining a little bit of background on the villains you're facing for batman/robin missions
And you have objective cutscenes displaying the main characters partner, with each text giving you a clear description of what to do.
-You have unlockable variation suits that can be used through out which just adds to the graphical charm.
-You also have plenty of great lego block details such as the stages with Posion Ivy, the plant creatures are huge! And the tree's and the forest type of look to the level
just gives you a good idea of what you're up against.
-The characters details also look good, Nightwing looks just as he would in any comic book, Catwomans design looks appealing, and the Joker looks his old creepy clowning self

Sound: 9/10 The music is pretty good, featuring approprirate theme's such as the freeze mission one. It sounds pretty good.
The sound effects sound also appealing as well, nothing like kicking a bad guy all the way off the scenary and having him screem
You have all your beat-em up sound effects, building sound effects and plenty more to find in the game.

Addictiveness:10/10 Why is this game good? because it's batman, what do you need more reason then that?

-The gameplay is extremely fun and forces you to strategize through out each mission,
-It encourages you to break stuff- Yes you can find different suits, money, and other various stuff through breaking objects in this
type of game.
-It's a enjoyable button masher, you punch, you kick, you grapple, you toss, and you throw batarangs and other crazy stuff to be found.
Nothing like Giving a shockingly friendly handshake when playing the joker, or smacking those fools around with harley's hammer.

Tekken 5 revised for the psp, well done Namco!
Tekken Dark Resurrection was made in 2005 for the PS3 as a downloadable Japan game, It was an update to
the original Tekken 5 game for the PS2 Featuring some pretty drastic changes in the Graphics, Sound, and
Music compartment.
The PSP version was released one year later, this is actually the 3rd Tekken game released for a portable handheld system.
(The First two being: Tekken Card Challenge for the Game boy, and Tekken Advance for the Gameboy Advance)

Lets see how this version compares to the original and what they've changed.

Graphics: 10/10
The eye-candy really shows here, this game looks great especially for the PSP. The sprites look as good as their PS2 counterpart,
and the animations from Marshall Law doing his Spin-Kicks to Kazuya doing his almighty Electric-Wind-God-Fist(EWGF for short)
I also love how they updated the sprites, Jinpachi looks more bad to the bone in here as he went from a demonic type appearance to
more of a Hot-Lava- themed appearance. Same thing goes for the background changes, they look really as if how Tekken 5 should've been, with it's dark theme. No texture details or anything to my knowledge has suffered or been blurred during this game's conversion on the PSP when compared to any other PS2 to PSP game, that is a huge plus.

Great job Namco!

Sound 5/10  Pros:
The sound effects are nice crisp and clear when compared to the ps2, you hear everything from the opening diagloue to the Voice acted cutscenes, which sound much like their original counterparts.
Cons:1) During the opening diagloue, Namco didn't replace the original guy telling the series of events with the newer round announcer, thus this proves that Namco got too lazy or ran out of time to replace him. 2) The soundtrack really sucks in this game. Tekken 5 on the PS2 was known for having memorable tracks such as Dragons Nest and Jinpachi's boss fight theme unfortunately on here this g... Read the rest of this Review
TNA Impact! Cross the Line
10-24-15 05:49 PM
Awful, just awful.
TNA impact is a video game released for a lot of systems,  and it's inspired off of the Infamous TNA IMPACT(Now known as IMPACT Wrestling!) It was made in 2008 for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and the PS2 for the home consoles.  The Handheld versions were released 2 years later, but Ultimately they lost to the SmackDown vs Raw wrestling games, lets see why.

Graphics: 4/10
Pros: Sprites looks good comparable to their console counterparts, and have unlock able variant attires.  The details from stings face paint, to AJ styles' logos are all present. Unfortunately that's where the rest of the game tends to suffer..
Cons:
1) The entrances on the console versions of TNA IMPACT were already cut down(What is this WWF Wrestle mania for the N64?)
On here it's even worse as they tried implementing the full CGI intro's but they're completely an eyesore as they're blurred out. 2) Speaking of blurred out. The arena details have also been blurred out as well, and don't look that great. 3)Due to handheld limitations or Midway slacking off, the face and texture details for the characters have been either been blurred to the lowest of quality or completely removed. 4) Again due to more limitations, some options were removed. You can't even customize a move set, or even make a  Created Wrestler for Story Mode, instead you're given a variant suit of suicide. This was the feature that made me probably the most upset from this game, as I love making CAWS in any wrestling game period. It's not the game TNA IMPACT, as it was known for having incredible eye candy. It's the fact that Midway was simply taking a port of this game too far on Sony's handheld system.

Sound:8/10
Pros: The commentary is here and is perfectly fine for the most part, you have every single track that was present in the Home-Console versions of TNA IMPACT, and they sound great here on the PSP. You can recognize every ones theme from AJ styles to James storm.... Read the rest of this Review
Diablo

Welcome to the review of Diablo, "Stay a while and listen!"
Diablo.
Few words can describe this game: One of the granddaddies of hack and slash; seriously if there was one game that  helped start that genre of games, it was this one right here. Made in 1996 Diablo is often described as an instant classic, It was made by Blizzard Entertainment. Diablo had follow up games like Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, and it caused other games like Torchlight to be created. This game was also ported over to the PS1.

Graphics: 8/10
Diablo has that really creepy, but insanely awesome type of graphical theme to it.  You could tell this right off the bat with the way Tristan looked, it looked like a peaceful village but with that feeling that there's something obviously wrong. The Demonic looking sprites and lighting animations are incredible and simply stunning to date, and the amount of detail found within the game's maps dungeon's, and some extra creepy stuff like the pile of bodies during the butcher's room, just gave this game it's flavor.

Sound:9/10
The sound in Diablo is equally as creepy and stunning as the graphic compartment, the demonic grunts when you slay an enemy over 200 times is just sastifying, and even hearing the death scream of your own character or a boss makes for an unpleasant but fond memory of this game. The Butcher boss coming out and saying"Ahh Fresh Meat!" was downright horrifying.
The music also helped with the graphical compartment, you wanna know why? Listen to Tristrams theme, this song alone is very iconic and whenever I think or hear about Diablo this theme will generally play in my head. Beyond that justification though there are more variety of songs that help go along with the dark overall tone that this game gives you.

Addictiveness:  7/10. This game has a lot of replay value, as it's a type of hack and slash, that cleverly forces you to mutil-task, literally spam potions, and hope you get lucky when killing those almighty thousands of Demonic Og... Read the rest of this Review
Mortal Kombat Unchained
10-10-15 10:37 PM
Basically mortal kombat deception for the psp

Graphics: 9/10
Pros:  The graphics for this title looks quite great compared to the ps2, every sprite looks crisp and great in 3D.  The animations for each of the fighters are very smooth, The bosses like Onaga look incredible. You also have unique graphical elements for the various weapon styles for each character, I remember sub zero's icy blade.. You have details on the stage which look great, dark, and all around creepy which is appropriate for a Mortal Kombat Type game.  There's a lot more gore to be found this time around, including multiple death traps with you just requiring to knock someone off the stage.

Cons: The graphics for Konquest mode is really about the only thing that suffered from this conversion as it doesn't look as good as the console versions, and it runs a little bit choppier but other than that, it's about as good looking as I can remember from the original ps2 game

Sound: 8/10
Pros:  Each of the characters have been redefined with more dynamic and edgy grunts, and now even have their own voice acting as well. I enjoy always hearing my opponent scream to death.
Cons: The only bad thing I can say about the sound is it does sound a little bit lowered than it's ps2 counterpart, even with Headphones plugged in. I noticed this specifically from the intro cut scene during the Konquest mode.
The music on the other hand isn't really anything memorable at least to me. The only song I can remember from this game is the noob/smoke theme.

Addictiveness: 6/10  As good as this game maybe, the death traps and everything else ruin it for me. Usually in a competitive two player mode, the fight always gets ruined for me because someone will always send me down into the spikes, or flames, or even the monsters on the beach area. Luckily this can be turned off, but I didn't know about it until now.  The fighting while great, I hate the fact that they changed some of the ... Read the rest of this Review
WWF Wrestlemania Arcade
10-10-15 06:38 PM
Another Wrestling game review, well kind of.

Graphics: 6/10
Pros: This game was developed by Midway the makers of Mortal Kombat, so this game also uses digitized graphics of real people in the game. The 2D sprites look good, and resemble the characters very well. You can see the small details on The Undertaker's face,  Shawn Michael's hearts, and Yokozuna's sash(At least I think that's a sash on his pants). There's a few details like the screen flashing  to mimic the crowd taking pictures of the high flying action, and there's lots of camera angles that will just make your jaw drop. For example your character can get launched really high into the air, and that really was surprising yet added to the flair of the overall eye candy.

Cons: The Sega Genesis version looks a bit grainy compared to the other ports of the game such as the Snes port. You'll notice this a lot during the stages, the crowd, and even on some of the characters.

Sound: 8/10
Pros: The sound is really thrilling and exciting to go along with the game play. You have announcers in this game too, with them sometimes annoyingly calling you a cheater, or oh that's gotta hurt!. You also have samples with your opponent or you screaming when you go 20 or 30 feet high during game play. It really adds up and makes for an epic experience.  You Also have the various Entrance theme's, like the creepy Undertaker's theme, or Shawn Michael's traditional music theme in there.  You also have standard music playing in the background, and it'll mostly change during those annoying Handicap matches.
Cons: The sound on the genesis sounds scratchy, which can make the experience annoying.  The entrance theme while present, is lacking lyrics(This does go for any version of the game).

Addictiveness: 9/10 This game is fairly simple to get into but difficult to master. I like playing the game because, it's not exactly the same as a traditional wrestling game. It plays very similar to that of Mortal Komba... Read the rest of this Review
Fighting Street
10-03-15 02:47 PM
The original Street Fighter but terrible
Yes, we all know the story behind this game. It was Capcom's first ever Street Fighter game, just the fact not many knew about it for two reasons: 1) Street Fighter 2 was much loved and played, and it was much smoother compared to this. 2) Street fighter 2 had multiple and still continues to get revision's to-date.

So in short, the first game was forgettable at best. And in regard to that statement,  Capcom didn't want the game to have anything related to do to Street Fighter to the point were this title got changed to Fighting Street. Like other various fighting games, the original Street Fighter game had been ported over to multiple consoles, including the TurboGrafx-16 CD add-on.

Graphics: 8/10
Pros: This version is the best looking home version of the original Street Fighter. The characters are resembled quite accurately to their arcade counterparts, and look spot on. You even have the character portraits and the world map fully detailed, along with the training stages. These are features are only present in the turbografx version of the game.

Cons: The backgrounds look a little bit grainy when compared to the arcade, and have been altered to get this game on the system. You'll notice this right away when you fight Joe. Small details like the 1978 looking van show this, and the sky is dark blue instead of day time blue like the arcade version.

Sound 5/10:
Pros: The music is the game's strongest aspect in that regard, not only does it resemble the arcade version but it completely rearranges it in high quality CD track. It sounds much better than the arcade, and it's very memorable.

Cons: Unfortunately the sound effects didn't take advantage of the high quality audio as good as the music did. Every sound effect is blurred out to the point were you can't even tell what the announcer is saying after you've beaten an opponent like Adon or Gen. Even some of the Shoryuken sound effects don't sound goo... Read the rest of this Review
WWF No Mercy
10-01-15 09:30 PM
This game is a slobberknocker!

Graphics: 8/10

Pros: The graphics are vastly improved over the previous WWF wrestle mania 2000. The character sprites look really good for these old type of games. Just about every detail that is on a character is there, whether it'd be HBK's hearts, or Undertakers American Bad Bone outfit, they look really good on this game. Despite this game being older, I prefer some of the character models on this over WWF Smack down on the PlayStation. The crowd looks about as good as it got back then, you have your detailed fan favorite signs that show up and vairy on which character you select.

Cons: Some animations look a tad bit choppy , it mostly shows in animations like the flying elbow drop, or a tackle.
The Crowd while they do look good and detailed, they kinda look like they were cardboard cut outs or something like that.

Sound: 8/10
Pros: The sound and the audience makes it authentic and fun to play, having the crowd cheer and boo you really adds to that realistic experience, you also have some bonus sounds effects such as the sounds of your opponents crashing from a turnbuckle, to throwing a barrage of punches and they sound very good. The music is also pretty good,"Let's get it on huah!" It's pretty catchy and memorable stuff which makes or breaks a wrestling game for me, and this one nails it. Not to mention I like the fact the music is actually originally composed, unlike some of the modern wrestling games which have Superstar theme's playing.

Cons: Speaking of superstar theme's, while the entrance music is implemented, it does sound a bit blurred out and compressed, and there's no commentary over the matches.

Addictiveness/Depth:10/10
This is were the game picks up. You got a lot to do, you can clone superstars, edit superstars, and even make your own Caws(Created Wrestlers) You got a royal rumble match, championship matches, triple threat, and specialty matches. Mario Golf
09-22-15 09:12 PM
Great game!
Graphics: 9/10

Pros:
The character models look great and are well animated, there are a variety of costumes to select from each character, during the game they have unique animations depending on how well you score from a Birdie to a Double-Bogey. There's a lot of stages to unlock, and even some mini stages, the holes will change a lot. Keeping variety in game play, and look to the stages in-tact which is a good plus. There's also some colorful text that appears when you hit a nice shot and various golf-ball animations that variety again depending on the character, which adds some flair to the game's charm.
The graphics in this game is very much comparable to that of Mario Tennis which was released a year later.

There's only one con I don't like, is that some stages are designed very bland. But since this game is a Golf Type Genre, I'm going to let that slide.

Sound: 10/10
The overall voice samples sound great, and there's a lot of variety.  One of my favorite things to do with the sound was always taunt people during their shots, "Hurry up already eh?" "Mama mea".  The announcer voice is also nice and clear, but I don't really feel as If commentary during our shots was needed.

The Music blends in perfectly with each stage, and depending on the modes you select-the music will change for each track. The Toad Highlands track has pretty good and relaxing music, same thing goes for the Koopa Park.  This music was good for the time and for the  type of game. Interestingly the music is also remixed from the Mario Golf on the Game Boy Color.

Addictiveness:10/10 I'll admit, it took me a while to really enjoy the game. But after getting some practice in, unlocking every character, getting birdies, and those almighty lucky hole in ones. Pure Joy, I came easily addicted to this game, I enjoyed winning, the taunting, and just completely destroying the AI in some competition.

Puyo Puyo, the original 2 player puzzle game
Before I get into the review: A little clarification
Now I saw some reviews on this game claiming that this game is the same as Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Kirby's Avalanche. After doing some research, I found out that Puyo Puyo was a Japanese exclusive puzzle game made by Compile in an attempt to compete with the top puzzle game known as Tetris.  Nintendo would make their own clown of this game under the title Kirby's Avalanche in the US (or Kirby's Ghost Trap in Europe/Japan)  Likewise Sega also made their own clone of the game too known as Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. as a matter of fact: Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine actually remixes a lot of music from Puyo Puyo.
Now that I've clarified that matter, onto the review at hand.

Graphics: 8/10
Pros:
One of the nicest things you'll notice in this game is the cutscenes and characteristics. You'll notice the characters have cutscenes and looks that resemble an anime type of graphics. When your going against your opponent, you'll get a nice view of their picture, and their reactions are quite satisfying to say the least. The levels are well designed too and unlike Robotnik's Mean Bean machine, the level and cutscene backgrounds will actually change look and color as you progress through game.

Cons:
This game may have an anime look to it, but just based off of my preference alone some of the character choices are weird. You have a fish with Human arms and legs instead of fins and you have a character who's body is basically a huge foot.
If it wasn't for the weird designs for some of the characters the graphics would've gotten a 10/10.

Sound/Music: 10/10
Pros:
You have positive sounds when you start to chain, and negative sounds. It adds to the game and makes the experience much more dramatic when playing.
The music is the biggest ear candy. You start out with some nice catchy music as your starting out through the easy progression, ... Read the rest of this Review
Comix Zone
09-17-15 01:14 PM
Comix zone, a underrated classic.

Graphics
Pros: This game lives up to it's name, the characters and the various level designs look like a hand made comic book. The levels are full of cool designs; for example the first level will have sort of a factory theme to it. You also get some pop up dialogues in between the start and boss fights of each level, which adds to the game's charm.

Cons: Some of the characters are reused  and especially on the first level of the game, they look like there wasn't much thought put into them. I hate the generic looking robots. And also some stages look incomplete for example on the last boss fight, the stage there is mostly colored white making the whole last boss fight feel less special.

Graphics: 8 out of 10

Sound/Music:
Pros: The music has like a western cowboy type of theme to it  and on some levels, it varies largely. On the first level it has the music type I was speaking of before hand, then on the boss fight it goes to a fitting rock and role style, with that sense you got kick his butt and in a hurry.
The sound effects were great, and unlike most of the beat-em up games this one doesn't have the scratchy-sour throat sort of vibe to it. The sound effects and voice samples are clear and fitting for the characters, the most common one I usually hear and remember is "see ya!"from Sketch Turner.
Cons: Can't really say anything bad about the sound, it's very good and appropriate for this style of game.
Sound: 10/10

Addictiveness: This game is pretty good and really repetitive . The game has that sort of vibe were it frustrates you good enough, you just don't wanna shut it off.  Every time I died in the game, I would replay and continue to attempt to beat the levels. I can't describe it, the game is just very addicting.
Addictiveness: 10/10

Story: The Story is about an Author by the name of Sketch Turner, Sketch makes comic books and usually he doesn't struggle to sell them,&n... Read the rest of this Review
Mortal Kombat V

Epic *Faceplam*
Mortal kombat Mythologies Sub Zero: A game that was unique, and an exclusive to the Nintendo 64, and PlayStation. Both of those ports had their differences from one another, but in the end they both played great. There was no port of the game on a Sega system, so the pirated gamers just stepped in, and made another generic bad copy of an original game.

Graphics: 5/10. The graphics in this game are poorly ripped stages and sprites from other Mortal Kombat games. If that wasn't enough, The animation is choppy, and most of the characters are reused as enemies, and even the boss. The stages look good and have their various unique animations, and traps; so that might be a plus that they were actually able to put that in this game, but regardless this doesn't look nearly as well polished as the actual versions of the game.

Sound: 7/10. Most of the original sound effects from the actual game were ripped, and like the actual game, the developers reused the voices for the many reused character sprites in the game. The music is just random, It doesn't really sound like it's even trying to be accurate to the actual copies of the games.

Addictiveness: 1/10. There are way too many flaws with this pirated clone of MK Mythologies. 1) Broken controls, and physics: The game won't allow the full 6 button controller input, so that's a major problem, being as the PlayStation and n64 copies used a 6 button input for all needed actions during the game. The physics got messed up because like the actual MK Mythologies; when dealing with many foes, and certain direction switching at times is needed, but the problem I have is that this happens randomly to me, same thing goes for the punching and kicking. The computer is also very cheap; When going against the bosses, pulling off the special moves is a pain. You have to be very cheap to win, including button mashing sometimes.

Story: N/A: The game lacks a storyline.

Depth: 1/10: T... Read the rest of this Review

Wade Hixton's Counter Punch
09-01-13 11:17 AM
Walkthrough of Wade hixton's counterpunch.
Introduction: feel stuck on this game, were you don't know what to do or how to get further off in the game? Don't worry I am here making this guide for everyone. That way they'll will have far less trouble.

(On a side Note to Posters/Readers:
This is not plaragisim. I've spent weeks on end playing this gem to get it were I could make a guide. All of this is 100% original. So no false acussing me or this guide of being Plagiarized. Just thought I'd make that clear, before one of you try to bash this thread.)

Guide format:
Bold for specific instructions
(italic and bold for side note's)
The enemies difficulty will go in this order:
Green for easy enemies.
Dark blue for medium.
Orange for Hard.
Red for very hard.

With that said. Let's get started.

First off what you should know:
the controls are similar to punch out in retrospect. Because Like "Punch Out!!"  You have to use the two main face buttons "aka" A & B.  A controls you're left punch, and B Controls you're right.   Unlike"Punch out!!"  You have actually two powerful punches to help you along with combo's.  The Strong Punches are Best used right after you hit you're opponent three times, while he/she is stunned.

Some questions in this FAQ you may ask.

(A) Does the character automatically get tko'ed after you knock him/her out three times?
Sadly not. This game works a bit different then the so called"Punch out!!".  If you are able to get you're opponent down for the ten count, then it's mostly a matter of luck, and Tedious also continuous parts on knocking him/her down.

(B) how do you unlock the special moves and how do you pull them off?
First off.  You earn credit after each successful victory if you win each fight. Credit is used to buy The special Moves. Once you buy the Special moves. It will teach you how to pull them off.

(C) Where do I f... Read the rest of this Guide

Mike tysons punch out guide part 1
Howdy, Man What a shame! No one can make a decent walkthrough for This classic and that's really a darn shame, because This game is pretty much a Cake walk!.

This is gonna be my guide for it. I will give it seperate parts, because I haven't finished this game yet, but Hopefully these tips can be useful ;).

First foe Glass joe (lol Didn't mean to rhyme)

Alrighty, Starting out with the first fight of glass joe, Once he starts out, he'll do a stance/warm up, for about 42 seconds according to the meter, While he's doing that, start hitting him with face uppercuts, once he blocks, start going for body blows, and once he starts blocking the body blows, ?Then repeat 1 and 2 over again, once 42 seconds are up, he'll try to come out with a taunt, wait a few seconds after he's done taunting, then quickly hit him with a face uppercut.  If you do this right, There's a chance that glass joe will be knocked out in 42 seconds flat, How I know, I've pulled it off.

Legit screenshot of me Knocking out glass joe in 42 seconds below: (It's also on the gamepage screenshots, if you don't believe I actually did it.)

Alrighty Next foe. Von kasier:

This guy is one of the simplest characters to get a tko in a short time.
My record 55 seconds flat

Alright, He'll try and do a normal punch, once he does that the first time, dodge it, then face uppercut him repeatively, then try hitting him in the face, he'll try to do the normal punch a second time, try to repeat what you did the first time, then he'll start doing it a 3rd time, If you have a star uppercut,  Just dodge punch him once, he'll make a flashy weird animated face, once he does that, instantly do a star uppercut. 2 Once he gets back up, he'll try and do a few barrage punches, dodge and combo him with face uppercut, then hit his face, then once he tries that the second time, hit his face again, then once he makes that weird face, uppercut him, once he get... Combos and Some advantages for mk2 -arcade-
Now this isn't exactly a walkthrough, This is gonna be some combo techinque's, that I have learned, I'd figured since they are so easy to do, why not post them, Alrighty, This guide is gonnna be based on combos and advantages, with certain characters, With that said, let's get started, This game may not work like mk3, but I have figured out some neat juggle combos that will help you through out the game.

Now before I get started...

Disclaimer: Before trying any of these moves or combos, Make sure you have learned how to do the special moves, as they follow up with some combos in this guide,  and if you don't know what you are doing, then this guide may not be so useful. (on a side note some of these combos require some distance and time to master, I didn't exactly learn these combos when I had instantly started playing this game, so I've figured I best note that) ;)  (Another side note.. a lot of these combos follow up with jump kicks, and other stuff etc)

1st kombatant. Liu Kang
Combo:flaming heat air attack,  This combo is pretty basic but it does do quite a bit of damage,  First Jump into the air near you're foe, then hit him with a high kick, then instantly follow up with a fireball attack,(side note: if you're opponent is in the corner and you pull off this combo, it gives you a chance for a low fireball or dragon kick to follow up this attack)

Combo: Bycicle Air combo:  Another basic combo for liu Kang,  Just hold the low kick button for around a few seconds, That will perform the bycicle kick,  Then follow up with the dragon kick, by pressing forward, forward high kick, This is a short combo, but a rather useful one.

Alright  advantages and techinal counters for liu kang.

When up against scorpion, Sometimes scorpion will try to throw a spear and uppercut you,  Avoid it by Going into the air and pulling off a... Read the rest of this Guide

Combo's and guide for mk1 characters

 1st liu kang

Double kick combo. This combo is actually 2 moves in 1

1st jump close to your opponent. then follow up with a high or low kick. Then instantly follow up with liu kangs flying kick

Combo corner only When your opponent jumps up and hes in a corner this is a very powerful combo

1st  Jump near your foe  . then kick him. then land on the ground do a high kick . after that follow up with a fireball then finish off with a flying kick

Advantage 1  When your opponent fires a projectile either block or avoid the projectile then instantly  do a flying kick

Advantage 2 This will mostly work on Kano . When ever kano Does a spinball attack. block it then jump up and kick him. Then follow up with a flying kick or fireball

Advantage 3 this will some times work with 2 kicks or 1 .

When raiden does his superman move. block it and as soon as raiden begins to land . instantly do a flying kick. if hes two spaces near you then follow up with a kick. then flying kick

Advantage 4 Goro and Goro morph only.

When you go against goro . this trick can be a darn good combo against him. First  attack him with a fireball then instantly do a flying kick.

However that move will only work if goro does not fire a projectile back.

Alright next Scorpion has only 1 combo but will not work against goro. shang tsung in standard form. and goro morph

1st jump at your foe  and kick him. Then follow up with a spear. then uppercut him

Advantage

This is 1 advantage that works on kano and Raiden. Whenever kano does his spinball. block it. Do a kick then do a  spear as he falls. then uppercut him.
