Neon Genesis Evangelion 02-08-16 12:04 AM

my honest opinion on this game.
So let me get this clear: I fucking love this series. But sadly, this isn't a very good adaptation to the anime/manga. :c Visually, this game looks really good for N64 standards! It looks very crisp for the time. The audio is very good as well, even though they sound really MIDI! they did a pretty fair job on recreating the anime's OST for the game. However, I do have some complaints. The controls are quite clunky to say the least. (it could be because its the EVAs are giant to make it more realistic, but it's just too clunky and slow for my taste.) Some attacks are very delayed, and because of that I couldn't even get past the first Angel!
The story- well, its NGE. whaddya expect? (I loved the story to the anime/manga, but the game seems very lacking considering its a beat 'em up.) The depth: well, I don't really know how to explain it! Its just a beat 'em up adaptation of NGE so there's not much to expect. :P Like I said before though, the controls are very clunky and that's why the difficulty is so high on this.
overall I say this game is at least worth a 6.7/10. It's at least worth a look, who knows, you might even like it even if I didn't! (don't let my review change your opinion! i'll definitely be practicing on this game so i can hopefully get through the first Angel someday. ^_^)
also! if you'd like to take a listen to the soundtrack for yourself, a nice fellow uploaded the OST to the game! ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pmQypqxPuY&index=1&list=PLuaLlvFVruhlJDJde2pDe_BX1a040TLMM

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Nick Arcade Prototype) 03-14-13 05:59 PM

Ahhh prototype memories
First of all, this is a nick arcade prototype of the hit title Sonic the hedgehog 2. This was shown in a tech demo at E.3 and Nickelodeon. if you noticed any glitches in the game it is mostly from programming errors. Anyways this is not the sonic game your`e thinking of. It seems lame at first, but you will catch on to it. I think Sega might have been trying to change sonic the hedgehog`s game play style. Also if you only have Sonic 2 on any console or p.c if you go to 2 player mode with debug mode you cant go through loops like you normally do. Overall i think Sega did a great job both on the final copy and the prototype copy. Also for a interesting fact if you go to the sound test in Sonic 2 listen to a certain tracks you can hear the prototype hidden palace zone theme. ( i am not telling the song no. so you can find out your self ;) I hope you enjoy playing this game. :)
