Gris: A Beautiful Tale of Grief
Overall - 10
Gris is an absolutely stunning experience that perfectly combines beautiful art and music with a purposefully vague yet deep story. The gameplay is simple and easy for anyone to pick up.

Graphics - 10
The art of Gris is really where it shines. The visuals are very vibrant and stylish, with landscapes designed to look like paintings. Though the game is 2D with flat assets, the multi-layered scrolling of the background gives a lot more depth to the environments. The color palettes of the environments change as the story progresses, which of course leads into...

Story - 9
The story follows the protagonist who has lost her voice and must restore color to a dreary world... or something along those lines from what I remember. Forgive me, it's been over a year since I played this (and it's certainly been a year). The story is told entirely through visuals rather than text, making it largely up to the interpretation of the player. The progression of the story is likely symbolic of the 5 stages of grief, which makes sense considering the protagonist's struggles seem to represent some sort of deeply painful trauma.

Sound - 10
The soundtrack perfectly follows the tone and atmosphere throughout the game. It makes the intense moments even more impactful and . I'm admittedly not much of a video game music guy (it's not something I usually pay attention to at all), but the sountrack for Gris is beautifully composed and ties the whole experience together.

Depth - 7
The game clocks in at about 2 to 3 hours long, making it something you can sit down and play though in one sitting. There's not much to the gameplay beyond simple platforming and puzzle-solving, but you do unlock new mechanics throughout which keeps it fresh.

Replayability - 7
Though the game is short, there are optional achievements and hidden collectibles (known as "mementos... Read the rest of this Review

I am at a total loss for words.
Overall - 8.2:
This game is a first person explorer, similar to the Namco Museum series on this system. So, with that being said, I kind of like this genre. Well, sometimes... The game is OK, but not as good as the Namco Museum series. Anyways, I don't know what the developers were thinking when they made this game. It is about the dreams you may have while taking drugs. Why they put that in a video game is totally beyond me. Maybe they decided to make an anti-drug message, or perhaps they just wanted to enforce the drug. Either way, this game sparked a lot of controversy, perhaps due to the disturbing imagery and / or the drug references. Either way, this game is still good, despite the concept of drug abuse. So, without further ado, let's get onto the review.

Graphics - 9:
The graphics are pretty cool, I guess. In some places, they are kind of colorful. In others, they are bland. But, mostly, they are just downright creepy. There are also some weird things, such as a giant statue of a foot, creepy-looking babies, and... God, it's just so random. The backgrounds are also weird, too. You have a small house, a village, a seizure-inducing lake, a city at night, a female womb (Yes, with creepy-looking babies), and so much more. The imagery, though creepy and weird, can also be violent. In one scene, you will find a couple of dead bodies on the ground, with blood alongside them. I also remember seeing someone jump off of a bridge, and then the screen flashed red when he / she landed in the water. This game definitely deserves a mature rating. So: Graphics =  +10. Gore = -1. Grand total = 9.

Sound - 8:
This game has pretty good sound. There is realistic walking sounds ( Of course, not that it really matters, it's just...) and the occasional ominous sound to keep in the horror mood. The music is surprisingly upbeat for a horror game. But, maybe it's just there to make the game a bit more creepy (Yes, games actually do that). T... Read the rest of this Review
Frappy SNES (flappy bird clone)

Frappy SNES - Why so much hate?
Overall - 9.3:
Frappy SNES is a clone of Flappy Bird for the SNES. If you don't know what Flappy Bird is, it is a mobile game where you flap a bird to go through pipes. Though it is fairly simple, it caused a ton of uproar and popularity, causing the creator to remove it from the app store permanently because it "ruined his simple life". Anyways, this clone is actually fairly good, but it has a lot of haters (If you don't know what I mean, look at the descriptions of the high scores.), and I am here to show you why.

Graphics - 10:
The graphics are a nostalgic mix of Flappy Bird and Nintendo. Instead of a bird, you flap a SNES with wings (Wait, WHAT?), and the background has Nintendo consoles instead of buildings. There is also a SNES logo on the left side of the screen, and you get NES cartridges instead of medals.

Sound - 9:
This game has awesome sound effects. The jump sound is the one from the original Super Mario Bros, bringing back so many memories. The death sounds kind of like a 'boom', and then the Game Over screen comes in with a 'boing' sound. There is also some awesome title music.

Addictiveness - 10:
Ah, yes. I could spend hours on end playing this game (But I won't, because I have other things to do.). The simple gameplay and raging difficulty are 2 signs that could make an addictive game.

Story - N/A:
This game has no story. It is just simply a game where you make an SNES fly to go through pipes. Simple enough.

Depth - 6:
For a game that has this much attention, you would think that it was a huge game with a deep storyline... It's not. The game is simple. You flap a SNES to go through an infinite amount of pipes. Yeah... It's that simple. In fact, a Flappy Bird clone only takes a few hours to make.

Difficulty - 10:
This is where most of the anger / hate for this game comes from. The game is so difficult. People say they hate this game, but they probably secretly like ... Read the rest of this Review

The Best Game Ever!
Overall - 10:
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is a sandbox game where you can do anything (almost), and it is probably one of the best games you'll find on the Xbox 360 Marketplace. In this game, you can explore the world and build structures to protect yourself from the vicious monsters that come out at night. As you move along in this game, you can also mine for ores, craft tools and blocks, build awesome structures, and roam the biomes in search of generated structures (Like Villages, Strongholds, Dungeons, and more!).

Graphics - 10:
Some people hate Minecraft's graphics because the game is made of blocks, but I think Minecraft's graphics are great! You can sit atop a mountain whilst watching a beautiful sunset. Not many other games let you do that. Also, the block textures (Though only 16 by 16) are very detailed.

Sound - 10:
Minecraft also has amazing sound/music. The in-game music is very calm and relaxing, fitting in with the game's beautiful scenery (If you happen to be on peaceful, that is). There are also many music discs that play great songs (Well, some of them, not so much), and the game's sounds are very realistic.

Addictiveness - 10:
Will I be likely to play this again? Of course I will! Even though I have Minecraft on the PC, the Xbox version lags less (For me, at least) and it's easier to join a server with some of my good friends. Also, the tutorial world is awesome and the Ender Dragon battle is amplified on the Xbox version (He spews acid and fire charges).

Depth - 10:
Need I say more? Minecraft, even on other systems, is basically INFINITE. If you run out of space on one world (Which is unlikely because the worlds are about 860 by 860), you can just start another. You can build anything and the game never ends! (Besides 'The End', which you can even explore the world after). There is so much to do!

Difficulty - 7:
Minecraft is pretty hard. There are many monsters that you have to f... Read the rest of this Review
Pitfall!

The first of it's kind.
Overall:
This is (overall) one of the best Atari 2600 games. Pitfall, though, was also released for many other systems, but today we're focusing on the Atari 2600 version of the game.

Graphics:
The graphics are another special thing in this game. The snakes and the fire have great animation. There aren't many better graphics for the Atari 2600, because these graphics were just plain great!

Sound:
The game's sound deserves a 10, only because it wasn't as repetitive as it's sequel's music. Hearing this game's music is happy and joyful. I got the biggest kick out of the Tarzan music that plays when you grab onto the rope.

Addictiveness:
As I said before with Pitfall II, I will be playing this game later on, but not on Vizzed. Hopefully I will be getting Activision Anthology soon. On that, I will try to beat it, avoiding the one pain in that game: The crocodiles. As I get better at that, I will start playing other games on the cartridge.

Depth:
This game has 32 moneybags, scattered around in different screens with similar elements (eg. Tar-pits, barrels, ropes, lakes). Watching a video, I heard that there are 255 scenes. Wow. This game is almost as big as Super Mario Brothers, which is a great achievement for a system less advanced than the other one I mentioned (NES).

Difficulty:
As I said before, the only thing that really holds me back in this game is the crocodiles. They are really hard to overcome, even if I do know how to get past them.

Wrap up:
To finish my review, let me just say that this is my favorite 2600 games, and this is my favorite version of Pitfall. Until my next review, bye.
