Why?

Because you need 10 posts on the forum to get access to it.

With spammy posts like the ones I see you making, it will be a long time before you get access to the file.
While you need 10 posts, spam doesnt count!

Awesome!

While some games get a remake (like The secret of monkey Island special edition), some games goes from 64 bit to 8bit.
What should we call it, a retromake?

Cheat codes in general, go to http://www.gamefaqs.com/ and use the search box.
Cheat codes for this game, check the second page of this thread, http://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=4290&page=1
And no need to become trusted, just get 10 quality posts (ie comments on peoples threads), send a Private Message (PM) to Davideo7 and ask for the game link.

While I already have the rom and translation patch, may I ask why don't you just post it freely here?

Are you that desperate to get new posts in your forums? (No big surprise to get spam, even if you don't, you will get people who post just get it and leave after)

I'm just curious about your motivations, don't ban me...

Btw, there's also DQ8 nes and Chrono Trigger nes, though these haven't been translated.

In case I need to, is there a way to cheat using Nestopia?

Also, Caecil: you wondered what we should call it. The official name for these sort of things are called Demakes. You can go to Tigsource.com to look at a Demake Competition they had, and download the games their. The winner was a demake of Silent Hill 2 called Soundless Mountain 2 - I think I have the name right.

What other demakes would you guys like to see? And it doesn't necessarily have to use the NES. I think I'd want to see Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess demaked into an SNES game. I'd hope it would be on the scale of the FFVII demake, it would need a custom size to be fully realized demake, and to that it couldn't rely completely on A Link to the Past. It'd fine to use some tiles, but for battles on horses and more, it would need to a made mostly from the ground up in my opinion. I'd have a lot of fun playing that.

I want to get some opinions on something I think Vizzed should pursue. Seeing the popularity in the forums for the Final Fantasy VII demake for the NES, as well as Flash Bash and other Vizzed-created Flash entertainment, I think Vizzed should create more Final Fantasy VII games.

As far as ideas for Flash-inspired games, it would be awesome to see a Chocobo game. Bear with me here, its a long post, since I have a fleshed-out idea written hre. Since the Chocobo minigames were taken out of NES version, what about creating a Flash version here for those who miss it. In my idea for the game it would be a Chocobo-raising RPG/Sim where you level it by gaining experience points through races, fights, and other modes. Every mode would give your Chocobo experience points for each stat, but depending on the mode, one stat would increase more. Racing would be agility, fights would be strength, ect. Also, there would be two types of experience points.

Stat Points are what I just explained. There would also be normal experience points for gaining levels. I need to explain a little bit more of Stat Points first though, so hypothetically lets say the different stats are Strength, Defense, Agility, Vitality, Intelligence, and Luck. Don't mind right now which mode increases which Stat more. Instead, imagine when you first start the game, your Chocobo is Level 1 with absolutely no experience of any kind. Every one of those Stats has an Experience Bar, which needs 100 Stat Points to increase a point. Let's say after a few races you max the bar and you gain a point, resetting the bar to zero; instead of needing 100 SP to gain another point you would need 150 or 200, it doesn't matter. But to gain the point in the first place, you need to feed it a Gyshal Green which you can win from battles or buy.

What are the points of Levels and Experience Points then? EXP is gained either through all the modes or just Battles. I think the Battles should be the primary focus of the game, with the other modes helping you level up some stats to fight more effectively. Which means, in my opinion, I think you should only get EXP from fighting. Now, leveling up would work the same way as before, with an EXP Bar that grows each level. Every time you level all stats will level up, but you also to get an extra point to be rewarded to a stat of your choosing. You also get to choose a Skill from a skill tree, or level up a skill you already have, and these are for fighting. You also need to feed your Chocobo before gaining the level.

Which brings us to breeding. Breeding will mix what was in Final Fantasy VII with the Job System of Final Fantasy Tactics, as well as the Incarnation mechanic in the Disgaea series. First off, you need two Chocobos to get a new one. Your first two Chocobos will only be able to get to maximum of level 10, and when they reach maturity stage - maximum level - they get to breed. Obviously, this means you start with two Chocobos from the beginning of the game and both would be normal yellow Chocobos. You also need to feed each one and the quality of the food plays a major factor. The new Chocobo from breeding will start at level zero. However you can choose a certain amount of Skills from the parents to be carried over, with the amount available increased depending on what they ate. Then there are the stats that carry over. If one of the parents are fed Gyshal Greens, the newborn recieves that parent's stats; this brings strategy to breeding, one of which is knowing what to feed the parents - if you were to give one parent a Gyshal green and the other a really good type of food, the good one would be wasted.

This is where Breeds and Jobs come in as well. The worst type of Chocobos are Yellow Chocobos and through breeding you get better and better breeds. Yellow Chocobos can only have one type of Job, the default Job, which we'll the Onion Bird. The next best breed - the color doesn't matter now - would have two to choose from, one of which is the parent's default Onion Bird Job. Through smart breeding and leveling, like Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea you can get the best possible Chocobo.

I think Vizzed should try this out, if they have the time and are willing to put in the effort. There could also be an online Dissidia-like Card Game that would play something like the VIII's and IX's Card games, but span the entire series. One thing I know we can all agree on: more Final Fantasy VII demakes based off the Compilation games in the FFVII universe.

Just a mention, but you do relise Vizzed did not make this game rather then is providing it?
I'm sure one of the members, given enough time could do something like that in flash, but again, time.

But didn't hey make Flashed Bash and such? I would think this would be a way to expand the flash experience for the forums, as well as expand on the Battle Arena idea. I think Chocobo raising/breeding and fighting, racing, ect would be an awesome way to do that.
