All you have to do is place your referral link on any website or email it to anyone and you'll earn Viz! Post your referral link on any website, your facebook / myspace / twitter profile, email it to people, post it on youtube, post it in your signature or bio of another message board, etc... or tell your friends about (if your friend signs up without a referral link, on the registration page they can choose your username as the person who referred them and you'll still get credit). You can find your referral link near the top of every page directly above the message center. The referral link takes the person to the same page you got your referral link on. Here's how much Viz you get from referrals: -For every person with a unique IP who visits your referral link, you earn 100 Viz -If a person you referred registers, you earn an additional 400 Viz -If the user you referred makes a post, you earn an additional 500 Viz -You also earn 5 Viz for every single post the person makes that you referred You can see a list of all the people who you referred that signed up by going to your profile; you'll also receive a notification. BONUS PROMOTIONAL OFFER - Earn $ Cash $ US $10 - If you refer at least 25 people to the site who sign up, you will be awarded $10 Cash US $25 - If you refer at least 50 people to the site who sign up, you will be awarded $25 Cash (remember, this is in USA currency) Promotional Offer Rules: -Only users who sign up using unique IPs count. I've spent the past few days implementing lots of features which will ultimately make the vizzed board experience even better! New Features Include: Modified Message Center This area contains your Private Messages, your Notifications, and the Announcements. These things also appear on all pages now so that users will know when they get PM's, get notifications and now people will actually know when an announcement is made. Notifications When someone replies to a thread you made, you will receive a Notification. If you haven't read your notifications, it will only notify you once per a thread so therefore it wont notify you again if additional replies have been made to a thread that you've posted (until you've read your notifications). When you go to the notifications page, it automatically marks all notifications as read. Things that you get notified on: -Replies to threads you made -When someone signs up and refers to you -When someone posts a comment on your profile -When someone stickies, unstickies, opens or closes one of your threads (and it tells you who did it) -When someone moves one of your threads (and it tells you who did it and where it got moved to) -Additional notifications to come (so request some suggestions and if it's good, it'll be a notification) Modified Announcements Announcements will now appear on all pages and will let you know when a New Announcement has been made. Going to the Announcements page marks all Announcements as read. Modified Referral System (remember, referring users earns you lots of viz) Your referral code is still on the index but now when a user clicks it, not only does it take them to the index of the site but it lets them navigate the site all they want and when they're ready to register, it'll still set you as the referrer. The way it worked before was dumb, basically you gave someone a link which took the user to the register page and if they didn't register using that exact link, you didn't get the referral; this is not the case anymore. Also, if someone registers that you referred but didn't use your referral link, when they're signing up, they can type in the username of the person who referred them (and it has a drop down box that auto populates with the correct spelling of all the usernames on the board). We have just added a new feature: Photo Album! Now you can upload your photos and share them with others and get viz when someone posts a comment on them. Here is the pricing for each picture you upload: - Newbie = 100 viz to upload - Trusted = 75 viz to upload - Local Mod = 50 viz to upload - Global Mod = 25 viz to upload - Admin = 0 viz to upload - Site Owner = 0 Viz to upload For each comment you post on a photo you get 10 viz, if someone comments your photo you will also get 10 viz. Spamming comments will get you banned so don't even try it! As many of you have noticed since yesterday new threads and replies were not working. All posts that you made during this time are lost and cannot be recovered. This is mainly due to a server upgrade for increased RAM which somehow was able to glitch the database. David has repaired the database so everything should work fine now. We have just added another new feature this week: Automark Threads Read! This feature basically marks a thread as read when you view the thread for those who don't know the point of it. Believe it or not I don't think this feature ever worked as long as I've been here (4+ years). It was also a feature DM has been requesting for just as long as I've been a member. We have just added a new feature: Block PM's From Certain Users! To block a user from sending you PM's simply go the users profile you wish to block PM's from and click on the 'Block PM's' button at the very bottom of the page. To unblock PM's from a user do the exact same thing. If you blocked a users PM's then the 'Block PM's' button will say 'Unblock PM's'. To send viz simply go the users profile you wish to send viz to and it will appear above the users post layout. First I would like to say that we are currently in the process of patching this hole.... Someone SQL injected and showed us a pretty little picture. So with that being said, please change your password to something that you don't use on other sites. That is a good practice to us everywhere though. The staff members and I will let you know when we get everything patches. Please note: Every site is vulnerable and securing it isn't an instant thing, people find exploits on websites all the time. Some things that have bugging the hell out of me is inactive/banned/people who dont post showing up everywhere. I took the liberty to edit a few files. You will notice we dont have a billion birthday on the index page thats because you have to meet these qualifications... Must have account above banned status Account must have 10+ posts And it has to be your birthday of course //++ // ACS //++ ACS has been altered too if you're banned then you do not show up on the ACS either. I look forward to implementing a few more features, this should also help speed up the servers response with not having to grab a billion account that only play games. As you can all see, there are some Errors throughout Vizzed Board. So far they are only in the threads and on the reply pages, but those are critical pages for them to be on since that prevents us from posting. Anyway, I'm working on getting these errors fixed but currently have no idea in the world what is causing them. If anyone knows of a PHP expert that might know the problem, please show them the errors, I could use all the help I can get to get this problem fixed. To keep in touch with eachother, you can PM eachother still and can also use the 'Shoutbox' to talk back and forth. Hopefully Bigbob comes on soon, or even Randy. Vizzed Board will be the Official forum for Get-Your-Rom.com just until Get-Your-Rom.com gets a new forum up. The previous forum on GYR had so many spam bots that we were pretty much forced to just close it down.
