Black and WhiteTwins Minigame is a fun way to pass the time by a few minutes here and there, it's a simple game that just involves going down a platform while scoring points and trying not to die. It's not am amazing game, but whenever I fins myself bored, I usually end up eating a few minutes on this game.
GRAPHICS 7/10
The graphics are pretty decent and at the same time they are really simple. You have a line that goes down the middle of the screen and one side has a dark background while the other has a light one. The game is about guiding a ball down the line, and the ball can switch colors as it switches sides between black and white and it also shoots colorful particles out as it rolls along. The animations are decent as well, like when the ball is jumping, and for an overall grade, graphics is going to get a 7 out of 10.
SOUND 9/10
The sound is my favorite part of the game and that's mainly because of the music. When you turn on the game, you are greeted by a cool and catchy song that I really like and makes me think back to games such as The Escapists and Bully because of the style. That sing plays through the entire game, not just the menu and in addition to that, you have various sounds when you jump, when you switch sides and collect coins, and when you meet your horrible doom. If I was just grading this aspect based on the sounds alone, it would get a very low grade but because the song is there to lighten the mood, this aspect gets a 9 out of 10 for a grade.
ADDICTIVENESS 6/10
You wont find the game to be fun if you are playing it just to play a game because there isn't much to it. This is one of those games that will entertain you if you have nothing else to do. Also if you like competition and beating your own high score, then you may find the game to be fun because that's what the game is all about. The game has a slight level of addictiveness but not too much and for a grade gets a 6 out of 10.
STORY N/A
There's no story here. All the game is about is guiding the ball down the line, switching sides and collecting coins while trying not to die. The only other thing about the game is that you can sometimes find a power up that allows you to control a ball on both sides of the line at the same time, but that's it, there's no plot.
DEPTH 3/10
There's just a little bit of depth thrown into the game, but not a lot. Heck, there's only one way to die in the game and that's by hitting spikes. I'm sure that the developers could have been a bit more creative and came up with a few more obstacles instead of just one. However, there are also a few aspects concerning depth that are good, like the ability to switch sides and also control a ball at both sides at once. If you were only able to work with one side, like how the Impossible Game works, then the game would have had no depth at all. For a grade, depth is going to get a 3 out of 10.
DIFFICULTY 5
You may need to practice a bit before you can get a really good hang of the game because there's different lengths for jumps, and jumps and switching sides need to be timed carefully, not just so you don't die but so you can collect coins as well. That's just the beginning because once you start playing on both sides at the same time, things can get out of hand and very confusing very fast. All you need to do is keep trying and learn from your mistakes and you will be fine. Might not be able to become as good as me but you will get the hang of it. Overall, this aspect gets a 5.
OVERALL 6.5/10
Overall this is a pretty fun game, but not if you have a ton of other games to play. If you are on the train with your phone or somewhere else where you have no internet or other games, then this is the perfect way to waste 10 minutes or more. It's a free game so there's nothing to lose and I would really suggest downloading it, even if you wouldn't plan on playing it for a while. Overall, my grade for Twins Minigame is a 6.5 out of 10.
