Inazuma Eleven 3: Team Ogre Attacks! Review by: TornadoMudkip - 8.8/10

Graphics ~ 8/10.

You expect for a 3DS game that the Graphics are like 3D? Not really in this game.

..But there is a reason for it: This game is first released in Japan for the normal DS. The English version is for the 3DS. The Graphics are the same for both but they look more neat in the 3DS version. I'm really glad Level 5 did that, to make it like a 3DS game.

You play as Mark Evans. (On the Maps.) A pretty easy to remember boy. After you beat the game once, you can switch Mark with someone else. The looks of the players seen in matches, battles and the map is pretty simple. Everyone wears the same jacket//kit, only the head is different. Although someone like Jack Wallside is fat and looks a bit more fat than everyone else in matches too. A fun fact is that the players when you are on the Map move up and down the whole time while you are doing nothing.

The Character sprites are unique and good designed. That's because there are ugly and beautiful characters to scout/recruit. Nice variation if you ask me, now you can create a team with much ugly or good-looking characters.

The world looks splendid. Almost every kind of landscape is in the game. Some places in Japan come back in this game like Kyoto and Okinawa. That's because the characters you get at the start are from Japan. (And you play as the Japanese National Team: Inazuma National/Japan.) But because you're facing teams around the whole world, you can see many special things from different countries like the Italian Streets. No, you can't visit every country, for that there is a special made Soccer Island – Liocott Island. This island has every kind of structure from other countries. It is really amazing that you can visit ''every country'' on this island!

Not every soccer pitch is the same in this game. The one has darker grass than the other. No not just only that, you can play in the snow, at a tropical beach and many more places. That makes the game even more fun! Special moves during matches or battles and battle scenes (if you need to block or dribble past someone) look like cartoons with smashing colours.

Overall design is wonderful. Everything is easy to see. The graphics would be amazing for a DS game since the Graphics fit more for a DS game. The game lacks 3D Graphics but at least, they won't hurt your eyes that quick.

Sound ~ 9/10.

You won't forget the sounds of this game easily!

Really, that's because the game has many sounds everywhere. Almost every new location has a different sound. The same for matches, each team has their own special music. (But some still have the same sound.) Only in Soccer Battles (5 VS 5) you'll here always the same sound. (Excluding inside the Flash Training Facility.) I would like it more if there were more different sound styles in Soccer Battles.

You also can hear sound effects if you use in a battle scene a Sliding Tackle/Charge. Just what you need for a Soccer RPG Game to let it sound real. You can hear these sound effects when you are using special moves as well. If a Goalkeeper special move breaks, you can hear a certain sound used for the most Goalkeeper special moves if they break.

The music is played at the right moment. For example ~ If something sad happened, a sad music will play. At good times, a happy music will play etc.

The Character sounds are alright. I'm already glad if I can hear their voices. Still, the most voices fit the Characters which is good. If you can't hear them talk, then you always can read the text. :P (Note: not at every moment if someone says something they'll talk. Not hearing the voice.)

The opening song is pretty lame though. It doesn't give you a fired up feeling if you ask me.

Addictiveness ~ 9/10.

This game keeps me playing forever!

That's because there is much to do in this game. You can train up your team, facing another team, entering a Tournament exclusive to Team Ogre Attacks. The teams in Tournaments always change if your team is in a higher level than before. You won't know how good they are and you don't know which special moves they have. That makes me really excited!

Even more fun is creating your own special team. That's right, you can scout/recruit every player you want to create your own team. I think you can have 100 players total but you can only use 11 for a match with 5 bench players. The scout system (Capsule Machines) is really annoying: you need to collect red, blue and yellow coins for a special machine. Put one of these coins in the machine and you get a random player. It can take a long time until you get the player you want. The recruit system isn't annoying at all, you just need to select the player you want, go to the right location and win a Soccer battle or two.

It is really fun to see different special moves as well and how they look at different players. (Using special move manuals.) There is really much to do in this game I would say. Just be creative and try different things!

Story ~ 9/10.

After becoming the National Champion and beating fake Aliens. You'll need to beat top teams in the world!

Three months after the whole Alius Academy thing, the World Championships (Football Frontier International FFI) will finally begin! It's up to Mark Evans and his teammates to become number one in the world! There are much obstacles like an enemy's comeback, strong teams and more. But then... a team from the future appears, Team Ogre! They want to erase Soccer. Lucky for you, Mark Evans' Great-Grandson Canon Evans will help you out. Protect the Soccer you love!

A nice continuation from the other Inazuma Eleven games. First beating top teams in Japan and becoming the National Champion, then beating cheaters using a Crystal called the Alius Crystal to ''save'' the world. Becoming the best in the world is a good idea for the next step.

I really love the story, especially because people of the future will jump in the story. They are kind of the enemies. Together with the owner of the Soccer Island, that guy only wants money using Soccer.

The story is also really original which I like a lot. Not every game introduces a soccer team from the future who wants to erase Soccer for good.

If you really want to understand the story of this game, then I recommend to play Inazuma Eleven (DS) and Inazuma Eleven 2: Blizzard/FireStorm (DS) first.

Depth ~ 9/10.

There is so much to do compared to the other Inazuma Eleven games!

Like I said before, if you are creative you can do much things but that's not all. The main story is already something and if you beat the main story, much offers are coming! Extra competition routes open, more players to recruit, and being able to go to the future!

In this game, there are special training spots to increase your stats a bit. This is really useful if you want to make your player in something better and so creating the ultimate players.

Some special things from Lightning Bolt and Bomb Blast return. > The Angel and Demon Team and combined if you beat them both. Now you don't have to link if you want to beat Dark Angel, which is awesome if you don't have a second 3DS or the other game.

New locations like another street around Austin Hobbes' house, Mt Fuji, (also available in Inazuma Eleven 2: Blizzard/FireStorm) and of course the future. This makes Team Ogre Attacks better than the original Lightning Bolt and Bomb Blast. Much amazing places to visit in my opinion.

Difficulty ~ 7/10.

Just one side note: Always save before important matches. If you lose then you are Game Over and you need to start again where you last saved. (And that could be a whole time ago.)

It depends if you are good in this game or not.

I'm a person who is good in these kinds of games. When it is kick off time, I dribble past everyone and score a goal in a few seconds. Even if you are good in this game, the game still can be really fun, winning gives you a good feeling which I really like and my mood goes up.

If you are still in the main story, it can happen that the other team gets an automatic goal. (Event.) Annoying right? Not really, sometimes you get an automatic goal as well. Both situations can make it easier or harder for you to win.

Other teams are really easy to beat if you team level overall is higher than your opponent. It also really helps if your players have high stats, much GP and TP, and strong special moves. If you like challenges, then you should try to use weak teams. Using different players all the time is really fun in my opinion, still I use the Key players the most. Mainly because they have nice character designs and good stats.

A thing I tried is trying to get ''S'' rank against every team I beat. (You need to score 5 goals and your enemy must not score once.) I recommend to try this once if you have skills for this game. If I'm remember correctly, I beat every team with ''S'' rank except one. I should try that again sometime when I feel like it.

Overall this game is harder than the other Inazuma Eleven games. Many teams have high levels and such especially Team Ogre, they have really strong techniques and high stats.

Overall ~ 8.8/10.

Inazuma Eleven 3 Team Ogre Attacks is a wonderful continuation from the other Inazuma Eleven games and an awesome remake of Lightning Bolt and Bomb Blast. A great game for an Inazuma Eleven fan I would say. Really worthy to buy, you won't stop playing if you begin.

Only one unfortunate thing: The game froze one time for me when I opened the menu, wanting to look at my players. The game also has a few glitches but don't think that's really bad. Be sure to save a lot and don't worry about the glitches. Just enjoy playing the game like I did.
