Champions Of Norrath: Realms of EverQuest Review
Story 7 out of 10 : This is a medieval RPG quest game. In the beginning rage of war happens. Orcs and goblins who was once enemies, joined up to place an ultimate attack. Their plan was to destroy homes and villages of *Faydwer* the king summoned heroes known as *Champions of Norrath* to help fight, this is where you come in. There are 6 in total to choose from class wise. One man and one woman here are their classes. Barbarian, Elf Ranger, Elf Clerlef, Erudlle Wizard and Dark Shadow Wizard. Interesting classes to pick out from right? When you scroll to choose a character they will show what strength and weaknesses that each class has or have. So choose who you want to play as, and then your quest begins!
Graphics 8 out of 10: Like other ps2 games it has great hd standard looking graphic. As you would expect of this game it is all medieval looking. When you start the gameplay, it is mostly on bird eyes view. Strange right? But that is how the game is portrayed. It is only when you talk to people that, the bird eyes view changes to a face to face view. It’s not all of the time that you will see your characters face. But at times you will. As for the colour it has that earthy looking view. Whereas at times it has dark colours as well, that’s for when you progress more into the game. But it stays true to its theme which is earthy green. For the characters themselves, they sure do look strange. That, you will see for yourself when you play it.
Sound 7 out of 10: Not much to be said about this one, it plays the same soundtrack. It only changes sometimes for when a cutscene comes in. And also, there are voices set in champions of norrath. You will get to hear what your character sounds like, as well as other characters in the game.
Addictiveness 8 out of 10: Yep, this is an addicting game, no doubt about it. The best parts are to collect the most powerful equipment which gets dropped by your enemies. And also training as well, I seriously love the challenges in this game. Like unusual looking enemies, funny moments and more. The more you play story wise, the more addictive it gets. You will feel it trust me on that.
Depth 7 out of 10: There’s so many….where to start from? Apart from the places that you are requested to do by people. There are other hidden caves to explore, and man they are hard to do. As those caves are much more wider to do. Anywhere you go enemies will be lurking, and will not going to give you any time to rest at all. But these are the simple joys of an RPG quest game. If you can’t take the heat then don’t go jumping into the fire, at all. So yeah, there are so many places to explore. Also there are things to collect as well, to help you on your journey. Oh, watch out for the unusual looking spiders, they can scare you quite a bit. Not all caves are lilted, so you will sometimes carry a torch. So BEWARE at all times, as you can die when you least expect it.
Difficulty 8 out of 10: In the beginning of the game, you choose what level that you want to start on. If you choose*Adventurous* this is on easy. *Courageous* is standard and *Champion* on hard. If you start with the easy one, it starts of simple but as you progress more in the game. It will start to get harder, including the bosses as well. For standard your enemies won’t let their hits on you be so easy. And on hard be well prepared, that’s if you decide to do it. Also in champions of norrath there is a multiplayer gameplay. So you play with your friends or family. That’s if you want some company during the story mode. It is more enjoyable that way, I say give it a try. As it will be so much fun! ^-^
Overall 9 out of 10: This game is great to play its challengeable, interesting RPG quest game to play. I gave it a 9 for a good reason. If you like hard challengeable games, then this is the one for you. I recommend that you should try it out. It has good points and it has its bad points even though. It has great balance what I mean by that, is gameplay wise.
