Super street fighters II the new challengers   SacredShadow
Hello there! I will be reviewing Super Street fighter II the new challengers! This is a great fighting game made by capcom made for the SNES, it is a sequel to street fighter II turbo and street fighter II championships and it was released in 1993. This is a really great game and perhaps one of my favorite street fighter games. So now then, on to the review!
Graphics: 9
The graphics for all street fighter games are pretty amazing and I like all of the character sprites and also the design for places such as the backgrounds for the stages you fight other characters. It all looks very nice and clear, the graphics for this game are all new and there are also 4 new characters to play such as DeeJay, Cammy, Fei Long and T. Hawk. All of the new characters look great and there are also all new sprites added for each of the playable characters in the game and I must say that they all look very nice and I am definitely impressed by the graphics in this game. I scored it a 9 because the new character sprites and background stages all look amazing, the graphics of this game are definitely well made.
Sound: 8
The sound of the game is remade from the previous game and there are new audio voice samples for characters like Guile, Sagat and Ken. The announcer's voice is different also. Overall the sound is pretty clear and I think the music from each stage is great because it gets you in the mood for fighting and the music gets faster as the battle gets more intense which is awesome, that is why I scored it an 8, overall it is very well done.
Addictiveness: 9
These are arcade games, they are meant to be addicting, even if you beat it, you can still enjoy playing it and beat it again. This game's re playability is one of its most renowned features. The game is so intense and you get addicted by the game and you cling to it like a magnet. All arcade games are like this, they are fun and intense, but also challenging and fast paced, and all of these features combined make for a very fun, fast paced action game that is very enjoyable and becomes very addicting. For that reason, I scored the addictiveness of this game a 9. Once you play it and enjoy it, you become addicted and want to play it again. Plus it is an arcade game and all arcade games are like this, they make it intense and interesting to play which then gets you addicted to playing the game over and over again.
Story: 7
As in all street fighter games, on the path to victory and you become the champion fighter, there is a small story that follows after your victory and it varies for each character once you have beaten the game. The stories for each of the characters are pretty simple and they don't span across the entire game, they all have their reasons for competing in the championship to see who is the champion fighter. I am glad that the storyline isn't complex because it would get in the way of the action and purpose of the game, the main focus of the game is the fighting and the action, and I think it wouldn't be as fun if there was a long boring story in the way to get in the way of that. So the story is simple and it varies for each of the 12 characters depending on which one you beat the game with will determine the story that follows after the tournament. So pretty simple for the story, nice and simple and it doesn't get in the way of the gameplay of the game itself which is why I scored it a 7, it is just enough to enjoy the game and keep things interesting enough.
Depth: 6
The game does feature a few modes, you can go into a versus mode with a friend or you can go into a tournament mode where you go against all of the other characters in the game to become the champion. You can also adjust the difficulty of the game accordingly if you think it is too easy or too difficulty. So I think it goes into a decent amount of depth since you can't test yourself and adjust the game to make it more challenging and interesting to play just by changing the difficulty setting. Plus you can play the game over and over and it never gets boring. I scored it a 6 for depth because you can do a lot with it and all of the modes as well, and it is just enough for the game to be interesting. So that is why I gave it a 6 for depth.
Difficulty: 5
Honestly the game is not that difficult in my opinion, and you really don't have to be a street fighter expert to be good at these games, I mean if you have played one before then you know what to expect. Otherwise it is no big deal, just practice and set up controls you are comfortable with and practice making moves and combos and it will get easier once you practice. Sure it can be hard sometimes, (especially with Ryu and his hadouken) but with a little practice, that is all it takes and you will get better at this game and soon you will be ready to move onto a higher difficulty level. So I scored the difficulty a 5, it can be a little challenging, but then again all games are at one point and that doesn't mean you should give up and quit trying. So just give it some time and practice, and if you have played street fighter before, then you know what to do! And if you think it is to difficult, you can change the difficulty level in the options menu to make it easier. Overall, the difficulty varies depending on how good you are with street fighter games and if you are experienced and familiar with what to do that will determine how hard the game is for you, but I scored it a 5 as neutral because some players are better at it than others.
Gameplay:
There is another mode in this game aside from the standard 1 and 2 player modes, it is an elimination where you face off against all of the fighters one at a time and they become eliminated. It is called tournament battle.
Then of course there is the standard 1 and 2 player versus mode and the 1 player tournament mode where you go against the other fighters like you normally would in a normal game f street fighter.
Overall: 8.9
These have always been some of my favorite games, they are just so fast paced and fun and I think they are really awesome as well. I have always liked street fighter games, I think they are just awesome and fun at the same time. Overall, I had a great time playing this game, I think it is really exciting and this is the game for street fighter fans or for those who like good fighting games and action, this is the game for you. I had a lot of fun playing this game and I would definitely recommend giving this game a try. There are so many great things about it that make it worth playing.
So, what did you think? I would greatly appreciate tips, comments and feedback on what you think of my reviews. I also appreciate constructive criticism and tips to improve my reviews. I greatly take into consideration what others think of my reviews, so please leave your thoughts and comments below! Thanks for reading my review!

Street Fighter II: The New Review, er I mean..Challengers   PixelBrick
Okay, after playing Street Fighter 2 Turbo, I decided to revisit one of my favorite video games of all time: Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. Now I haven't reviewed a game on Vizzed in a long time, so I may be out of touch. Now, Street Fighter is an interesting game. Almost every Street Fighter game ended up in arcades because of its arcade style fighting game, like Mortal Kombat. Street Fighter II on Game Boy was mediocre, but it got a great upgrade. And the Super Nintendo can do that to a series. Super Mario World is considered the best Mario game of all time, and Super Metroid is...well, you get the idea. Street Fighter even got an animated television series, crappy movie adaptations, and there was the animated movies which actually had something to do with Street Fighter. But anyways, I shouldn't ramble on, let's get my Street Fighter marathon started. I'll be reviewing every Street Fighter game I can find. Let's get started.
Story: 5/10
The Street Fighter story line is rather simple. Fighters from around the world compete in the "Street Fighter Circuit" to determine who is the best fighter in the world, and the star, Ryu, wants to become the world warrior as well as everyone else. The Street Fighter movies do open up a little more about the plot, for an example, Sagat of Thailand, murdered Ryu's father. M. Bison killed Chun Li's master, Gen. Ryu and Akuma, who isn't even in this game, were close, but they then became rivals. If you're looking for the story in the video games, look else where. The story in the game is average, but the movies will do a much better job explaining the plot.
Depth: 5/10
Street Fighter is NOT a long game at all. You fight 12 people in a random order, however the final 4 are set at a specific order. You can play as these characters: Ryu of Japan, E. Honda of Japan, Blanka of Brazil, Guile of U.S.A, Balrog of U.S.A, Ken of U.S.A, Chun Li of China, Zangief of the U.S.S.R, Dhalsim of India, Sagat of Thailand, Vega of Spain, Thunder Hawk of Mexico, Feilong of "HongKong", Dee Jay of Jamaica, Cammy of England, and M. Bison of Thailand. This edition of Street Fighter surely does add more from Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. There is 16 different endings, one for each character. By pressing a specific button when you select your character, you can recolor their clothes or skin color. I kinda liked this added feature, but now I have to reset the game to experiment with this feature. It took me a while to figure out what button sets your character's color to the default setting. Every three characters you defeat, there will be a bonus stage, of which you're timed. The first one consists of destroying a car, destroying a pile of bricks, and destroying falling barrels. When the bonus stage comes around the corner, your adrenaline will go up 50%. You have 60 seconds to destroy as much as possible, and getting points in this game is super satisfying. Other than the classic arcade mode, there's a versus mode if you have a buddy along with you. Ah, the versus mode. One of the games that turned my living room into a wrestling ring. There's also group mode, which is basically an elimination game, which isn't really fun to play, and there's also a tournament mode. Frankly, I never use this mode, but it does seem like a fun concept. It's basically like the tourney mode in Super Smash Bros Brawl. The only real difference to that tourney mode is that Street Fighter is a one on one tournament fighter. Walking backwards and whatnot ( Kinda like the final boss of Ghosts N' Goblins, which is also a Capcom game). This game doesn't offer much, but that doesn't mean this game isn't fun to play. If you want a game with a lot of depth, I would recommend Street Fighter IV on the XBOX 360.
Difficulty: 5/10
Unlike most tournament fighters like Mortal Kombat, this game is NOT difficult. This isn't the easiest Street Fighter game, but this ranks as one of the easiest. First of all, it partially depends on the character you're playing as. I don't like characters such as Zangief or E. Honda because they're bulky, making them a giant target, their jump is incredibly low, and I can never figure out the moves. However with Ryu, Cammy, and M. Bison, the moves are easy to figure out, they're powerful, and they're just the right weight. Next, it's the moves. Characters have their unique moves, and with every character, there's a move you can flat-out just spam. Ryu is famous for his Hadouken, and Sagat with his cheap Hadouken rip-off, but every character can spam one thing most of the time: The grab, You see, if you simply press B, you can grab your opponent and throw them on the ground. Everyone can do it, the move does a lot of damage, it's easy to spam, it looks cool, and it's just satisfying to do. And finally there's the characters. Since the order you fight the characters in is generated at random, you never know who you're gonna fight. The opponents get stronger as you progress, which is why Street Fighter is sometimes based off luck. Thunder Hawk has always been the bane of my life. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to not have to fight him, or I have to fight him at the very beginning, or I get him at the end, when he becomes a nightmare. Some characters are always easy, and some characters' difficulty vary based off when you fight him/her. Overall, Street Fighter is not a very hard game at all. If you're looking for something that's hardcore in difficulty, I would try Mortal Kombat.
Graphics: 8/10
Like pretty much every Super Nintendo game, the graphics are well done, and honestly, this game in particular has the best graphics of any other Street Fighter game, other than Street Fighter IV. There's not much to say about the graphics here. You can see everything clearly, the background and sprites are well done, and the game looks colorful. This game isn't as realistic as Mortal Kombat, but this game appeals to me because it's a lot less gruesome and because Street Fighter is TECHNICALLY a Japanese anime video game. It was made by Capcom of course, but Street Fighter is popular in Japan. And yes, the characters are....anime-style or whatever the word for it is.
Sound: 6/10
Leaving Street Fighter IV out of the picture, I haven't been too big of a fan of the voice acting in the games. Sometimes, it's as good as Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road on the NES, and the voice acting was HILARIOUS in that game. The sound effects for attacks, I'm a fan of. Though, some of them are very cartoony. This game's soundtrack blew me away, however. I especially like Cammy's theme, T. Hawk's theme, Guile's theme, and just every track in this game is well composed and catchy.
Replay-Ability: 7/10
The fact that there's 16 great characters, four different modes, different colors for characters, and 16 different endings, I think this game manages to be very addicting. Since this game is rather short, and the fact that tournament fighters manage to be very addicting games, I think Street Fighter is one of the most addicting games ever made. As you can tell, I am a big fan of tournament fighters. Unless you're forever alone or lazy, this game won't appeal to you. No friends means no versus mode, and if you're lazy, you can't experience all 16 different endings, and all the different colored suits. Overall, Street Fighter manages to take what gamers think is addicting, and put it together into one masterpiece.
Overall: 8.4/10
Overall, I would rate this game an 8.4/10. Everything about this game makes it wonderful, and I think it has aged well. This game is great for if you're bored and if you have a friend over. Who knows, you could do tournaments for this game. Anyways, this game has great characters, sound, replay-ability, the difficulty is just right, and it's one of my favorite game genres. This game is also the reason I like anime so much. So if you have time, this is a classic you surely should try out.
Now, for my Street Fighter marathon, I want to hear what you guys think. Should I review Street Fighter II on Game Boy? I think it's the worst Street Fighter game out there, and there really isn't much to say about it. There's also the Final Fight series, and Street Fighter 2010 for the NES, which is...yeah, you probably know about that one. Anyways, this is PixelBrick, and thanks for reading!
