Lester the Unlikely: YES!
Oh, Lester the Unlikely. -giggles- Oh, Lester the Unlikely. -Laughs- OH, LESTER THE UNLIKELY! -bursts out cracking up-.
This game, I swear, is underrated, way up to the top ten most overrated things ever. Yes, EVER! No, that's not a typo. That is, in fact, an ever there.
Story:
For a SNES game, its got a different story. You play as Lester, (duh,) Who goes on a walk. While on his walk, he gets a comic book. While he's reading, he sleeps because he's tired. While he's sleeping on a cargo holder, he gets boarded on a ship that heads to nowhere, and, I can't lie to you here, gets hijacked by pirates and crashes into an island. Lester swims to a deserted island, and has to get back home. Not a bad story, the only reason it's a 6 is because it eventually turns into a stereotypical save the princess story. 6/10
Graphics:
Really, this game has some nice graphics for the snes. It's not as nice as, say, Mario world or Dinocity, but it's pretty nice. It's got problems though. Say, I swear there's some typos somewhere in this game. Oh well, I honestly can't talk about the graphics in this game. 6/10
Sound:
Pretty bland and generic, to be honest. Some nice tunes, but theres no lasting appeal to any of these songs. At the end of the day, no matter how long you've played this game, you'll still be humming Terra from FFVI. (Thanks, FFVI. I Want to hate that song, BUT I CAN'T!) 5/10.
Gameplay:
It's your standard SNES platformer, but with a twist. You play as a scrawny weakling. Yes. A SCRAWNY WEAKLING! Now, before you leave this page, here me out. It's actually quite fun, if for just the fact that you play as a scrawny weakling. Im sorry that I keep mentioning that fact, but come on. The irony this game brings is genius. Seriously, the first enemy you see in the game, Lester runs away from. Yes, HE RUNS AWAY FROM IT. And when you go back behind him again, he cowers by the enemy. Now, the enemy is a crab. Nothing special, just a crab. What's also neat is how Lester Evolves as a person. In the beginning, he's a scrawny weakling afraid of everything. However, once he saves a girl from a gorilla and gets kissed, he's strong and courageous. That's a nice touch, if a small one. The type of character evolution in this game isn't second to none, but, for a Non story-driven game, it's REALLY good. 8/10.
Depth:
It's just, again, a standard platformer. However, you'll come back to it a few times with your buddies because it's a hilarious game. 7/10.

Overall:
I enjoyed Lester the Unlikely. Is it perfect, No. But, for it's unique gameplay twist and interesting character evolution makes it worth a go. But, Please, PLAY THIS GAME. It's an unforgettable experience, or at least would be, if you could stop laughing. Seriously, Im not kidding. Play! NOW!

Lester the Unlikely Box Description: Marooned on a tropical island far from home, Lester faces it all with the courage of a small frightened rodent. Our unlikely hero has as much trouble walking as he does facing treacherous obstacles. It's the ultimate "geek to greatness" adventures as you guide Lester through his rite of passage. Help him face the terrors of the beach, the haunting chills of the underworld and the dreaded pirates of the south seas. Do all of this and Lester just might make it home, maybe even a little cooler than when he started. There's just one catch though, Lester can be slithly opinionated when it comes to his safety.
Lester the Unlikely Description: One day Lester was walking through Seaport City's loading docks reading the new issue of his favorite comic, "Super Duper Hero Squad." Feeling a little tired from playing video games late the night before, he looked around for a comfortable place to finish his comic.
Without thinking, Lester stretched out on a pallet that was ready for loading onto a nearby freighter. And fell asleep.
Boy, did he pick a bad place to take a nap. Several hours out of port he woke up and found himself in deep trouble (and more than a little seasick). The ship's captain believed his story about being an accidental stowaway. But... only in cases of extreme medical emergency could the ship return to port. And Lester wasn't that seasick. Yet...
So, he was along for the ride... until the first port of call. But as chance would have it, pirates hijacked and scuttled the freighter. Luckily enough, Lester found a life vest before the ship sank and swam for the nearest tropical island.
Just before reaching the beach Lester passed out from sheer exhaustion. Now, his real adventure begins...
It is up to you to help Lester get back home.
You'll face such things as giant seagulls, panthers, pirates, and the spirits of the underworld.
