Fun, but glitchy   numba22
This is my first review so hopefully I explained everything adequately.
I'll run through the specific ratings and then I'll put my overall impression on the bottom (called Glitches and Overall Impression). If you want to get the general idea and don't need the specific ratings explained, jump to the bottom.
Graphics: Pretty good. The author really did some cool stuff enhancing all of the buildings. It's a leaf green (Gen 3) hack, but all of the buildings look similar to buildings from later generations. It's also pretty cool how he colored the tyrant Pokémon to represent their type. (I.e. The water/fire type arcanine is blue.) He also changed all of the towns and routes to create an entirely new region. There were definitely a few glitches, but it didn't take away very much from the game.
Sound: I played the whole game fast forwarded, so I hardly listened, but from what I did hear, it was the usual Pokémon music. Since the author of the hack changed the region, the music changed too. If you love listening to Pokémon music you won't be disappointed though, the music always fits the mood of the area.
Addictiveness: I would say it's just about as addicting as any Pokémon game, which is pretty addicting while you're playing it. However, I will most likely never play through this hack again, hence the low rating. It's cool having tons of Pokémon from every generation available at your disposal, but part of the fun of playing a Pokémon game is creating your team with what's available. You can get a bunch of strong Pokémon early on, and for me, that takes a lot of the fun away.
Story: You are a poor kid who gets picked on, who only was going to get a Pokémon because Oak's grandson goes crazy and tries to take over the world. In fact, Oak's grandson actually steals your Pokémon (eevee) and you find a pikachu outside professor Oak's lab. You then go on a mission to stop Oak's grandson from taking over the world, defeating a tyrant Pokémon (a Pokémon with altered DNA I.e. fire/water arcanine) and a subordinate (gym leader) in each town. After collecting all 8 badges, you attack the Pokémon HQ (Elite Four.) It's a pretty cool story idea, and you essentially play as Ash because you start off with a pikachu and can catch all of the starters. It only gets a 7 because the game glitches and doesn't allow you to actually reach the elite four (at least in my case.)
Depth: A little bit less than a regular Pokémon game. There is never any question of what to do next, and no side quests. The main story is the only thing to do, and since you can't get to the elite four, the game runs short.
Difficulty: This one is hard to rate, but I rated lower because the game gives you every Pokémon imaginable at your disposal. You can get every single starter, and tons of amazingly powerful Pokémon. You also get really strong Pokémon with altered types (again using the example of the water/fire arcanine.) There are a few difficult battles throughout the game, and your rival always has pretty high level Pokémon, but since you can create an ultra powerful team he's easy to defeat. The only difficulty comes in training your slow growing powerful team. Once you have them trained, you're unstoppable.
Glitches and Overall Impression: This section is pretty important, because it explains why I rate this game so low overall. First of all, there are a bunch of spots all over the place where the picture doesn't represent what is actually happening. You can walk on water in a few spots, walk through walls, and you can't read any of the signs. That stuff isn't what really upset me however (although not being able to read signs was annoying.) What upset me overall were two main glitches. First, after the dragon city I lost all of my TM's. I usually save my TM's for later in the game, and then disperse them among my final team. The game got rid of all of them (Psychic, Earthquake, Ice Beam...) and there was no way to get them back. Second, the game did not allow me to go to the Elite Four. On the path that would normally lead to victory road (in this game it's called HQ Security) there are three guards blocking the path. They will not move, and there is no way to interact with them. In other words, I spent all of this time playing through the game, defeating gym leaders, and creating an awesome team, only to be unable to complete the game. That is one of the most frustrating things I believe you can do to a gamer. I urge you to not play this game if you need the satisfaction of beating it. If you just want to kill some time and create an awesome team, then go for it. I personally like to completely finish a game, and the way the Elite Four is blocked prevents me from doing that.
Overall, it was a cool concept, the author did some awesome things, but the fact that you cannot actually complete the game was too frustrating for me to say I enjoyed the experience of playing it.

Rinse, Lather , repeat   bocoom
This hack was interesting to say the least and i will go in depth on how interesting it was.
First up the graphics of this game are nice I could see the hacker put work into each of the areas and I especially liked that dessert area with the cubone/marowak skulls that littered the ground and the cactus. I really got a feel on what element the town represented for the most part. Some areas have very minimal things to look at like the water town but i liked the visuals good enough.
The sound was average and just used the same music as the game. Its gets the job done anyway and is ok
I would never play this game again and I will give you good reasons why I would not touch this game with a ten foot pole!
The story(as minimal as it is) starts off with you being the poorest kid in town and cant buy food and eat dirt(even though you got 3000 poke money in your wallet) and you have to stop professor oaks grandson from using pokemon to kill and make genetically modified pokemon to raise hell and you have to defeat his 8 subordinates along with the genetic freaks. Its sounds interesting but it falls flat on its face. First off the game does not know if the characters are supposed to be characters from the real games or are they just made up. Because the first subordinate name is Brock and has Brock's sprite but he uses normal type pokemon, then you go against LT.Surge and he uses grass, and Erika uses Fire type. but then out of nowhere the fourth one is Drake from the hoeen Elite 4 and his name is Gerrard for some reason and he used ice type even though he was a dragon trainer. The names get made up for the other subordinates even though Brock, Erika, and Surge kept theirs. also the professor is called professor oak even though this is supposed to be a new region by the game description. Also the rest of the subordinates sprites are leaders from other regions for some reason but have different names. The story is very repetitive because all you do is go to the town, fight the modified pokemon, defeat the subordinate, then walk to the next town. Then after defeating your rival the plot throws in this save the world plot out of nowhere with this whole child of prophesy bull crap and you have to fight some gods from long ago in the after story. I struggle to comprehend on why the hacker thought this was a good idea because the resolution to the main plot already came out of left field it did not need this. So in conclusion the story was just a straightforward, boring, romp and ended in a crazy way and added on an after story thats even crazier.
Depth is low because I was not very invested in what I was doing. I was just wheelbarrowing my character to point A to point B to be told repetitious dialogue over and over(im not joking most of the dialogue in this game is the same thing) the villains all have Saturday morning cartoon villain dialogue that was just cringe worthy! One of the subordinates said they would have me crying back home to my mamma(even little kids don't use this as a threat!) at least in the official pokemon games they would characterize some villains but these subordinates were the same dang character that just talked about how pointless it was to fight and how better the rival is and then vanish somehow after I beat them and never seen again. the town people say the exact same thing HELP US HELP US, GET THE ROUGE POKEMON, STOP THE SUBORDINATE, also the trainers you fight just say LETS BATTLE and after you win they say YOUR TOUGH! and now that I think about it THE WHOLE GAME has mindless dialogue! Its like it was written by a retarded 6 year old using mad lib's! The so called genetically modified pokemon are not much. only one or two were actually creative but the rest are just recolors and nothing else other than a type change. The gyrados was the worst one because it looked like a shiny gyradoes but the the shade of red was lighter that's it!
The difficulty is high because near the end the game really stars cranking up the levels on you and the enemy's start getting random jumps in power. I think near the dragon part is were the power gap got ridiculous and I had to grind and the after story is even worse with level 100 pokemon. It was fine in the beginning and middle but near the end it gets merciless.
In conclusion this game is a pretty straightforward story of defeat the evil and save the world premise but handles the thing very poorly especially near the end and is just bland over all. It is not as special as the description says it is and I would give this game a pass unless you don't care for repetitious dialogue, game play, and cliche story elements and characters. the whole game is just rinse, lather, repeat. And get ready to grind your butt off in the end!

decent game...has its ups and downs   chair of doom
If not for the glitches that set it back, I think this game would be perfect but sadly it has a pretty major glitch, here are some of them:
-where you lose most of your TM's and HM's when you enter a city (even through fly). It normally happens on your first visit to the town but it happened to me after I flew back to the dragon village once.
-invisible walls!!!!! (not that major but I found a couple)
-This isn't a glitch: but i feel like its much harder to catch pokemon in this game ex: i tried to catch a lapras at red health with an ultra ball TWICE, it didn't work, then i went and paralized it and it finaly stayed in the ultra ball. i don't know if others are having that problem but that's what i keep running into.
-at the 2nd time against the elite 4, every time i talk to gary/rival, you freeze....so don't talk to him at your 2nd time around, just go right past him into the door.
-after you beat the elite 4 for the 2nd time, you replay the beginning cutscene (where you go and get your pokedex and starter etc.i was horrified as i thought i had to beat the game again, thankfully i still have everything ;). on the bright side, you get another pikachu :D but still glitchy
-from time to time when i fly to darkness creek, i get the text: i finally beat the 8?subordinate's?or whatever the text was after you beat all 8 guys
Also, this game has 8 unique Pokemon that have different typing (ex: zangoose is a steel/normal type instead of normal type)
GRAPHICS:?the game's graphics is pretty much the exact same as every other Pok?mon game. Nothing new here.?
Sound:?the sound in this game are also the same as every other Pok?mon game. I do like the healing sound when I pass the cursor over a city when I want to fly somewhere though ;). However I don't turn my volume up often as I usually have my thumb on the space bar to speed up the game.
Addictiveness:?I found myself playing the game a lot. Until I found a dead end. I could never make it to the dragon village until much later because I never found the tiny little hole that your supposed to go through to get to that village, unlike fired and leafgreen, you don't have multiple routes to get to 1 village so you have to go around to find that 1 hole to get to the village. Thankfully this is only for that one village but still it got me stuck for some time. Other than that this game is quite addictive
Story:?the game's story is rather unique than other Pokemon story's. It involves your rival taking over the world. There is no Team whatever who will try to stop you. And after the elite four, there is an aftergame story that I will not explain in this review, but the aftergame is quite interesting, but its also overwhelming information as they just throw it at you and expect you to understand. But other than that I find this storyline better than the average day Pokemon game. also each person pretty much says the same thing such as :your name you truly are a hero. your gonna hear that a lot. It doesn't bug me that much but it may bug you seeing it too much.
Depth:?the game has lots to do as there is an aftergame afterall. Its pretty much Pok?mon leaf green with a different after game and no team rocket.
Difficulty:?the game is definitely harder than the average Pok?mon game, at several points in the game your forced to fight consecutive trainers at a time, usually one followed by your rival. Oh and the elite four uses legendaries.....but the aftergame in this game is rather easy. I'm not gonna explain why the aftergame is easy as that spoils the surprise but yeah the game is easy after the elite four.
?Overall this game is pretty good and you should definitely give it a try if you want

great game   poke992
this is a great game I really think more people need to play it. Most of the graphics are the normal Fr/Lg but there are a few Pokémon with new sprites (not going to say which ones but they do look boss) there are new male and female player sprites but the male trainer card sprite is really bad so 7. Sound now I don't really have much to say on this because its just the normal sound so 8. This game is supper addictive I sat down and played this for 3 hours not even knowing it 10. The story is really nice who wants to face gym leaders plus you run around and get sweet Pokémon very early on 10. Depth is a 9 you can get 9 total 5th Gen Pokémon (3 lines total) also you can get every Pokémon from 1st to 4th Gen so I got to run around for days getting more and more of them it was really fun 9. Difficulty now this game is way harder then your normal Pokémon game its no dark rising but it still is really hard. Lucky for you and me you can find Pokémon that give off a lot of exp really early on.

An advanced adventure   EmiletheOverlord
I love this hack, I found it when Coolrom started posting rom hacks with their normal roms. I found it to have a great storyline, and a fair number of nice changes, such as the 'Genetically modified' Pokémon that appear in each town, and the fact that all the starters are catchable in some form or another. It does have its flaws, such as the bug that erases all the tms you may have at any time, and the fact that the Elite Four only have legendary Pokémon, and you can at best only have two at that point. Another thing is that the trainer dialogue could use a little more diversity, as all anyone will say before battle is 'Battle Me.'  And after battle, all they will say is 'You're really Tough.' Another thing is that all events in the game are marked by either invisible Pokémon or bad eggs in the PC, and the 'event flags' can overwrite your Pokémon, which really sucks. All the same, I thought it was a brilliant new take on what can now be considered an old classic.

Problem. An annoying one. I got all the way to Blue and Lance and my game crashes as soon as I talk to either, same as the guy by the monument in the Ghost Town.

Dialogue is really bad and it is hard to level up. This game is really boring.

The storyline seems a bit lacking, but they changed things up enough to get my attention nonetheless. I like how your rival's a bad guy now and the Gym Leaders are his minions.

Game is fun just seems like there is no story line compared to other hacks.
