Almost all opposing pokemon trainer parties have been updated to be much more difficult, generally so they have decent parties and pokemon. Also increasing the difficulty is that while the trainers are stronger, wild pokemon are not, preventing the player from grinding anywhere other than the start of the journey. The pokemon that can be traded for have also been switched up, so that the couple worthless trades in early johto now have good pokemon; however, they still need gym badges if you want them to obey properly. Ironically, due to the limitations of the tools used for this hack, Whitney is now the easiest gym leader to fight, and most players will probably have a harder time with some of the bug catchers.

-The pokemon you can trade for are much more useful then the original games. A good idea would be to carry around their trade requirements, and level them up (while preventing their evolution) until you have a high enough number of badges for them to be useful.
-Rattata have about a 1/3 chance of holding a Exp. Share. By catching a large number early in the game, you can get enough for an entire party, making it easier to keep them close in level.
