I LOVE IT!!
Ah Smash tv a early shooter back in the 90's It made a lot of money because people would go play it for hours and hours.the original smash tv was mainly so addicting even if you got killed off like 30 seconds or less. You would still wanna continue because of the hard difficulty that made the game add to its charm. So overall that game was very well made and challenging that probably made Williams entertainment filthy rich. If you completed that game there's a little note that Say's coming soon even more carnage. This is it enter the review of Total carnage the squeal to smash tv.


Plot and storyline . The plot of the game is to find general Akhboob and take him down. Destroy corrupt and unknown life forces and rescue news reporters and other citizens.Storyline: A country named Kookistan suffered in a war of 1999 after it ended. General Akhboob took the land as the new leader, then started getting dna samples to create a bunch of mutants and corrupt the citizens he will continue to do nonstop until the entire world is under his control.  News reporters and citizens had gotten captured in the war land, as the news reporter Candy Bitilzer was reporting  the plot of mutants being created through an advanced bio- nuclear research facility she got caught by a big monster and got eaten. Once you complete the game there will be 2 ways to finish it"aka" alerted endings. The standard ending with Akhboob will happen if you don't get at least 220 keys and it says you failed to do that you suck then says thanks for playing. I'm like what it says I suck ,then it thanks me for playing it you gotta be kidding me there. If you get 220 keys or more for that matter you will get into the pleasure dome  which is the smash tv hall of fame room. You can get all those classic presents and see a few robots that look like mutoid man.




During the game Williams entertainment dropped a lot of hints that made it obvious that they are the same people who made smash tv. and they gave hints to make sure. screenshot of them making a hint down here



Graphics: taking a look at this squeal to a classic by Williams entertainment Graphics are equally as good as they were in smash tv maybe a little better as some character and background seem a little more well detailed ,and in my opinion they look cooler. It rather has a carnage/smash tv style in other shooters like contra. You see body's on the ground machines up in the air firing from downward or upward. In games in games like halo you see bloody bodies everywhere. Blue grunts that run in fear from you trying to smack their face and you see rides a bunch of rides for you to hijack,and knock the other guy out of it. But in smash tv/total carnage you see bodies with ripped holes in it piles of your bones from getting shocked by akhboob being crushed seeing weird machines with human like heads on them, and even body parts being ripped with eyeballs fading away. Sprites in total carnage they are classic good old 2d bringing some classic feel when playing this game they are well detailed have good design nice well sprite coding. here the mutants have their natural creepy design and when you go against Ahkboob he has 3 different robots that you go against. Each 1 gets a little more harder then the other .Anyways these are some nice looking sprites here. Stages Well designed good amount of detail the war zone is exactly what a war zone should look like,well to me it looks like a battlefield which most terms war zone would be used. I think all stages just really fit the storyline really well. The base or underground level for example features many electric traps that can shock you to death and back. Graphics rating 10 really well done and it has a real creepy style that fits the game very well, when you think about the storyline of it.

Sound. The sound variety is equally satisfying as the creepy graphics style of the game. While you get all your basically awesome shooting and kaboom sounds when you blast the enemies and destroy bosses which just gets me pumped every time I do it,probably because I would say sweet revenge for getting murdered and blown up by the bosses because this game is just all that raid. Soundtrack it has a few flaws in it mainly voice samples getting in the middle of the song parts. Because I'm 1 of those people that actually wanna hear how good or bad a soundtrack could be. Others may fine this exceptional, but for me it bothers me a lot. The soundtrack is still pretty good sounding but some parts in the song sound pretty plain. 1 thing I did like was Williams entertainment remixed their smash tv continue theme,as it has some similar tune parts but its not exactly the same because it has a different beat at the end and some other parts of the theme. The theme plays only at the pleasure dome/ending. Sound rating 8 there is 2 flaws I found in the soundtrack.

Addictiveness. Like smash tv this game is really fun to play because of the challenging difficulty that makes it add to it's charm. You get blown up she gets blown up the world gets blown up because of the crazy fun this game has. It is replayable but in general I found smash t tv to be more addicting then this 1 but it's still a great game that is great fun. As I said difficulty and the awesome use power ups makes this game really enjoyable,and sometimes a struggle. Anyways addictiveness rating gets a 8 from me. This game is replayable, but really once in a while it might get old.

Depth, The game is about 2 hours or more usually how long it takes me. The game offers a lot of challenge. Weapons .Ammo .Gun fire.bombs. Shortcuts to collect keys. And exploding lots of boom in this game because you use those bombs quite often to earn extra points when the game Say's to do so on the screen.  like smash tv there is only about 3 or 4 levels in the game so it's quite short. Depth rating 6

Difficulty. Massive level of hardness here. Most of the games charm and the previous smash tv there charm comes from the difficulty. As many enemies are gonna appear and cause you to die in a electric death shocking isn't it. Many cars come and go and cause you to go ah and explode with a hole in your rib cage and die a lot. There is about 10 or more enemies that spawn in the beginning area's,but later on like 50 of them spawn out and they are gonna get ready to murder you in about perhaps 15 seconds not to mention dealing with cars those annoying time bombs that appear constantly until you disable them this game is just full of lots of challenge,so good luck trying to master this game. Controls work fine again a game pad is recommended for shooters like this and smash tv. Difficulty rating 8

Overall The squeal to smash tv is a great fun game although it's short at some parts. Overall rating 9.
