Animal Ceossing City Folk review!
Animal Crossing City Folk is the third Animal Crossing game in the series.
This game adds a ton of new stores and locations.
I found half if the new features unnecessary and shouldn't had been added to the game during development.
Animal Crossing City Folk is my least favorite in the series but I enjoyed lots of things about the game.
There are a bunch if great things about this game that I'm gonna explain in this review.
This is probably one of the best games on the Wii I'm pretty sure the game is a bit underrated though but that's because
those people probably never played this game.
Enough of this nonsense though time to get to the ratings.
Graphics:They were really cleaned not pixelated at all a bit cartoony and up to date if course I can tell from a glimpse that the graphics in this game were very well done can't get any better than this. You can live during four seasons and even those change based on what season it currently is in the game. There is even a day and night system and also a rainy and dry system as well.Your fellow neighbors in the game pretty much looked very similar as well. The houses look cartoony which is a good thing since that's what the series aims for.All the general stores from Nook Junction to Nookingtons were great looking as well. This game has similar graphics to a whole bunch of graphics even Skyward Sword and those were pretty amazing graphics.
Sound:I enjoyed the calm relaxing music this game had provided yes it repeated at times but the little jingle got caught in my head I couldn't help but to him along with the music. It made a couple of sounds as well that sounded pretty real such as digging with a shovel and crickets just making noises. It sounds like your really outside in nature somehow I found it to be really impressive. There is even some music someone every Saturday at night sings while the credits roll you can put that music in your sterio and listen to it in your house there is a wide variety of music that can be collected! There is a wide variety of great music. The animals that move into your town just make random noises that can be annoying if they had been in your town for a while.I don't mind it though I just ignore it which is pretty easy once you get used to it.
Addictiveness:Really addicting game there was always something to do everyday to catching all the bugs to trying to collect all the fossils there was no doubt plenty of stuff. Many holidays such as Easter was celebrated it couldn't get any better than this.Personally I loved collecting things for the museum since there was so much to get.You could donate bells to the town to raise money and get some unique things in the town such as a light house and a fountain. You could try to get all the golden tools which are the best kind of tools in the game which are upgraded versions of the standard tools. You could also go to the theaters just for a small fee to get a certain emotion just by watching the pointless shows. You could collect all the expensive fancy furniture at this store called Gracie Graces. All I got to say is get out there and collect!
Story:There was really no story pretty much you created the story the game is a canvas and the controls are pretty much a paint brush you could do what ever you want that day up until 2099 which is so far from now. Some people time travel in the game which brings some advantages and of course some disadvantages while some just go with the flow which is pretty much our day and time system. You are moving into the town it is your first day but the problem is you have no money to start off with so Nook the owner of a nearbye store decides to give you some work to do this acts as the tutorial for every Animal Crossing game you can't even skip through it.After that Nook pretty much counts that money you earned towards your mortgage. So your main goal is to get your house to be really big by paying off the mortgage you owe.The mortgage gets pretty huge after a couple of mortgages get paid so it gets harder to pay off each time.
Depth:There is so much to do in this game as mentioned before you can collect bugs and fish you could even decorate your house with furniture that you bought with bells which is the currency in this game. You can even collect bells as well by saleing just about everything besides trash of course. You can also try to upgrade the local shop nook junction to the nookingtons which brings more inventory to stock daily. You can even collect rare clothes such as a kings beard and rare furniture such as a truforce so you can put it into your house for decoration. This game is all about collecting stuff it seems.
Difficulty:It depends on what your trying to do some bugs are really fast and are hard to catch while some fish get away to quickly which makes them impossible to catch as well.It can also be a challenge to manage your town if your looking to keep it healthy by keeping it weed clean. It might be difficult to find a certain fish or bug because it is really rare so it is hard to find.Well the golden tools can help you catch these certain fish easier but what's the fun if that?It can be really hard if you don't have the right equipment at first but eventually gets easy.It is annoying if you see some rare bug but fall into a pit by a pitfall seed and than when you get out the bug is gone I usually get really annoyed.
Overall:Really fun game so much things to do and collect such as rare furniture and even paintings which are sometimes counterfeit which may get on your nerves after a while if you are trying to complete the museum. This game is just amazing and is worth the money since it is pretty cheap after all.As well as all other Nintendo selects this is a must have for the Wii.This game is really great to play with your family even though it is only a one player game unless you go online and connect to another town.Well I guess it's about time I start to wrap this up.Hope you have a great time playing this game it is well worth it if your looking for a good time.Trust me this game does not disappoint at all it is filled with alot of fun things to do.
Really nice!Very clean pretty cartoony you can tell the game developers worked very hard on the graphics.
Really calm relaxing but repeats occasionally on different days and times and in stores as well.
So fun! There was a ton of unique things this game had offered. You could spend a whole year on this game and not get bored once.
It really didn't have much a story. You pretty much made the story by doing several activities each day and any time of that day.
This game offers so much. There are a ton of things to collect in this game. There are also a ton of special days that have a certain fun activity you can attend if you want and some tournies.
It can be it depends to be honest. But yeah pretty easy if you got some gold equipment such as the golden fishing rod and golden net.
Well that's it the end of this review!Have a great day!
