Uni fun   Totts
In 1994 DMA programmed the design of the home computer classic "Lemmings"; and this is probably the most original by far and underrated racing game of in video game history: University rally.
It begins when choosing the vehicles, instead of selecting a vehicle by its 'engine size', the vehicles here that you choose are empowered unicycles, and as such there is also "accelerator", no accelerator, how do you move, you ask? In order to move, you need to speed up your vehicle, to do this it is necessary to perform stunts. To do this, you can turn the wheel in all directions, somersaults, twists, and the same, as well as works of art, the combinations of the individual tricks require more are possible here. Tour whose been so you biking a total through four leagues with four courses of ski-jumps, through loops and so on. There are different types of routes: circuits, where three rounds will be driven, long single line, and good last special stunt course, where you not against an opponent goes, but must reach a certain score within a time limit. The latter by the fact that there are fewer points for repetitions of tricks is tricky, it should result in a certain change so. Using split screen can of course also for two rush to the bet, a League mode provides up to 16 players for ultimate party fun.
It makes a lot of fun, constantly looking in the courses for places where you can fix to the jump (and therefore stunts). There is main thing even more speed. But beware, too easily you manoeuvred this in tense situations have included also nasty obstacles such as such as the land on which the unicycle in the opposite direction will be sent, the guys from DMA. It is desperately needed to memorize the routes, you will have a chance against the computer in later courses.
Technical University generally are quite modest - although the unicycles are rendered, but everything is kept quite simple, that are hard to beat on graphically testing routes. But diminishes but hardly the whole thing, which is alone at the speed with which the race run time to take care, optical gadgets - anyway hardly remains. At the sounds is nothing, out of the speakers rumble rock guitar sounds, which fits perfectly to the already cool game play.
The bottom line, Uniracers is an incredibly fun game, which is alone on the brilliant original game idea. Together makes equal again as much mood. On the other hand, the attraction of this game idea is something in the basement after a few hours, you will in the long term rather play University rally as filler. Nevertheless: 9.8 points. It is a real shame that today we hardly find such game ideas.

unbeatable   Juggahooves
Let me start by saying I hate any and all racing games. I apologise to those who like them if I offend you with that statement, but I say that to tell you that this is the one acception. This game has been a personal favorite for a long time.
in this game you start by picking a unicycle of your favorite color. And begin by doing some races, pretty simple concept. And definatly not too much to change between. It's either a long drag race, a lap race, or a point competition. But the courses are some of the most insane creations ever made. You ride on what looks like candy cane colored pipes that were installed by  whilly freaking wonka.
The music is the best part about this game for sure. the songs are all pumped up songs made to get you into the mood to really haul and try to win. humerous how music can make a person so excited about racing little colorful unicycles across a colorful terain.
you can pick from a pretty decent selection of unicycles which all have names. i  am personally a fan of carol.
The graphics are what attracted me to the game in the first place. the graphics are (in my opinion) better than that of donkey kong coutnry and sonic and killer instinct combined. for it's time these were some of the best graphis on this console.
when you start you see 4 areas. crawler, hopper, walker, and one other that escapes me. in each of these there 4 races, each more difficult than the last. after you beat these you find out that you were only in the bronze field, now on to the silver. with more races, and more difficult races against another unicycle.
of all things i have to say that this game is deffinatly addicting and one that if you like racer games and if you just want to pass alot of time without realizing it, or you just have a thing for unicycles. this is the game for you

A quirky, overlooked gem for the SNES   TheScarletSaiyan
A video game based around racing unicycles may sound extremely ridiculous, but Uniracers, made by DMA Design and released on the Super Nintendo in 1994, took this strange concept of unicycle-racing and made a wacky, unique game out of it.
Uniracers has a lot to offer gamers, featuring a 1-player mode, a 2-player split-screen versus mode, and even a league mode where up to 8 people can play each other in 1-on-1 matches. Easily the most addicting part of Uniracers is the 1-player mode, which features 9 different tours, each composed of 5 tracks. Your objective in the one player mode is quite simple: obtain bronze, silver, and gold medals on every tour by mastering all of the tracks.
Each tour has three different kinds of tracks: straightforward, circuit, and stunt. In straightforward tracks, you simply race an opponent from point A to point B and try to finish in first. In circuit tracks, you and your opponent race on a looping track for a certain number of laps. And on stunt tracks, instead of racing, you simply perform stunts and earn points, your goal being to reach a certain point total before time runs out.
Speaking of, stunts are vital to success in this game. There are many different stunts you can perform by pressing the buttons on your SNES controller, such as rolls, flips, z-flips, and twists. In the straightforward and circuit tracks, performing stunts in the air and landing successfully will boost your speed. But watch out, because messing up will result in a wipe out, and you will lose any speed you had built up.
The tracks themselves are all wonderfully designed. There are 45 tracks in Uniracers, and the tracks feature wild loops, big jumps, purple goo that can slow you down, and of course, incredible speed. The best part is that, despite how fast you can go on the tracks, Uniracers doesn't have any problems with lagging. Admittedly, the game can go so fast sometimes that looking at the screen can hurt your eyes, but this isn't a common problem, and when it does happen, it isn't for very long.
The graphics in this game are definitely impressive. Each track has a unique background, and the backgrounds to me look like cool, painted wall designs. The game in general uses a lot of different colors, in the background, the tracks, and the uniracers themselves, to create a lovely aesthetic appeal.
The uniracers, or unis as the game calls them, definitely look like real unicycles, and each of the 16 selectable unis in the game comes with a different color, such as red, yellow, pink, white, and more. You can also name the unis almost anything you want, and it can be a little fun coming up with different names for each uni.
As for the music, Uniracers has an awesome rock and roll soundtrack, with each song in the game offering some wonderful sounds from the guitar. The rock and roll songs do a great job of pumping up your adrenaline, and keep you on the edge of your seat as you try to win in each track. There aren't too many different songs in the game, but the ones you do hear will stay in your head for sure.
The last two things I want to touch on are difficulty and replay value. Uniracers is an extremely tough game, and getting gold medals on all 9 tours is not an easy task. You will have to spend hours practicing this game, perfecting stunts, memorizing the tracks, and trying to make sure your opponent doesn't get the better of you. The bronze opponent may not be too challenging, but the silver and gold opponents are very hard to beat and will really test your skill.
Overall, the replay value in this game is very high. Uniracers is extremely addicting, since there are 45 tracks in the game, and each one is unique in its own way. The awesome rock music in the background will keep you going as you practice each and every track over and over again until you finally work your way to the top and earn all gold medals. And the 2-player mode and league mode allow you to play with your friends and try to beat them, providing even more addicting playtime.
Sadly, Uniracers is very overlooked, and doesn't get the attention it deserves. In fact, not too many copies of this game were sold, because Pixar, makers of popular movies such as Toy Story, sued DMA Design because Pixar felt the design for the unis was stolen from the Pixar short film "Red's Dream." Pixar won the lawsuit, and production of Uniracers cartridges came to a halt, with only 300,000 copies being sold.
Ultimately, Uniracers deserves more attention, and anyone who can find a copy should give the game a chance. It is easy to pick up and play, with simple controls, crazy stunts, nice graphics, incredible music, and a high challenge level. Overall, Uniracers is honestly one of the better titles on the SNES.
