The Lion King Review
Overall - 8

The Lion King game is a pretty exciting game to play.  I remember playing this game when I was a kid.  I didn't do good.  I tried this game out again and I seem to got a little bit better than last time.  I think that this game is fun for a Disney game.  It is so adventurous.  What I thought about was that it is a little like Cheetah Men, only 10 times better.  Why? Cause it is like playing one lion in one level and other levels you are the big lion.  I am not saying that it is exactly the same, but it plays as like that.  Anyways, the game is quite interesting to play if you really like The Lion King.

Graphics - 9

The graphics are very good in this game.  No blocky structures and glitches.  The background images are very well-made and looks exactly like The Lion King.

Sound - 10

The sound is good.  The melody for The Lion King goes very well with the game.  The sound effects are quite quiet like you would not hear a banging noise or a powing noise.  If you get hit, the lion would say "ow." I think that it is good to make it sound like it would not be a classic game like Mario or something cause that would be weird.  They make it sound realistic.

Addictiveness - 6

I may play this game again.  It sure looks fun to be the little lion and the giant lion.  I cannot seem to understand why I would play it some of the time, but that is how you are if you seem to like a game that would be a Disney-related thing.

Story - N/A

Unfortunately, there is no story in this game.  Although, there is a movie about it to those who have never heard of this before.  I am not sure if it plays like the movie cause I have never seen the entire movie of it, so I cannot judge about that.  I really don't know the point of this game to be honest.  It could be something about getting revenge, but you would just have to find that out.

Depth - 8

The game is quite big.  It has very steep levels and animals in there that you use to get on platforms.  Pretty crazy, but that is what the game is like.

Difficulty - 6

The game is sort of hard.  I had trouble with it, but I think I got over it.  On the second level, I had no idea what to do, so I had to look at a walk through to see what I was suppose to do.  There are sometimes some things that you do not know what to do and you would have to look it up to figure out what to do.

The Lion King is one of the most popular children movie and game in the world.  It is really enjoyable to play when you try to play it in the past.  I recommend trying this game out.  It sure can be fun if you like trying games that you haven't played in so long. :)

Young Simba just can't wait to be king. His father is the current King of the Savannah and the young prince is able to frolic the lands at will; jumping on and around other subjects of this animal kingdom. When Simba's father, King Mufasa, is killed and his evil brother Scar takes over the kingdom, Simba is banished from the lands of his birthright and has to grow up fast, honing his skills, for the day of his return.The Lion King, based on the famous Disney movie, is a platform game where you control Simba - initially as a young cub, and later as an adult lion. The plot of the game follows the plot of the movie. Each of the levels represents a part of the movie. As young Simba, you can fight various beasts, such as lizards, by jumping on them. You can also roar to scare some creatures into submission, though every time you roar, you have to wait for your "roar meter" to charge. As an adult lion, you can still roar and jump, but now you fight enemies by slashing at them with your claws (if you're skillful enough, you can also grab them and toss them off the screen). The game features no in-game save function, and it needs to be replayed from the beginning every time.

 If you edit the controls yourself, you should be able to figure out what the A, B, R and Y buttons are. Not actual keyboard keys, but SNES button layout.

 Yes, even I hated the ostrich and swinging on rhino tails parts of the second level. Those gave me so much problems as a kid that it took me forever to beat the 2nd level. When I was a teenager, those parts were a breeze for me.

 I beat this game on Normal mode a few minutes ago. It took me 1 hour and 38 minutes (no joke). I died several times and used 5 continues and no save state reloads. I beat it on Easy when I was a teen and it feels so good to be playing it again!! Booyah!!!
